Great work! I'm thinking of doing this same process to my vivarium, do u know if the mortar or paint is poisonous? The tank would get very humid and wet... With frogs I side.

In your case, I would try using the Dry-Lok instead. It would apply more like paint and give it a hard shell. And you can still tint it with the mortar colors.

No, I used ready mix. Although, I would be curious to see if that would help make the cement stronger and give it a better texture.

do ya not use sand when mixing the cement or is it just water cement and die

Well good luck to you, hope you have as much fun as I did. Just remember to lightly sand the foam board, ( to remove the shinny surface ) before you silicone it all together.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to make this video. I'll be making one for my 110. I think I might go with 1.5"-2" thick foam board. might be quicker for me.
