Why don't American spectators sing "The Star Spangled Banner" at pro sports games (NBA, NHL, NFL, et al.) during the national anthem presentation along with the presenters like in this video?

yea seriously, all the excellent athletes joins NBA or NFL leaving the not so good or just decent for soccer. Imagine if all these good athletes decides to play soccer, USA might win or maybe make it to the semi-finals. For now, I only see USA reaching round of 16 or quarter finals as a very very good result.

We first started heading in the right direction in 1990 which we made the world cup again for the first time in 60 years and than fast-foward 19 years later we are a top 15 team..so just imagin another 10 years...we will be a Monster...that is of coarse if our own American media dosent delay it by downgrading soccer,etc. like it usually does.

The atmosphere at the game was as good as alot of european games. ya maybe the fans arent as soccer smart as most fans in europe but the fans that showed up for that game were just as passionate as any in europe

I'm not asked, but I can't help it not to answer. I was at Seahawks stadium when DC united played Real Madrid. It's the quietest soccer match that I've witnessed. It was like sitting in a class room. The only noise that was audible came from a bunch of blonde girls who didn't even know what was going on in the field. And the girls whoop came only from the corners where Beckham had to kick a corner kick. BTW: The world doesn't give a rat's ass about american football or baseball? So why watch?

I don't know where you got that info from, but I know NFL is working its ass off to introduce the game to other countries and it is not working out so well. Moreover, in some countries american football is confused with other sports such as rugby. Make sure, if there is any, it's the american football. BTW: I exclude american sister--Canada.

I'm not asked, but I can't help it not to answer. I was at Seahawks stadium when DC united played Real Madrid. It's the quietest soccer match that I've witnessed. It was like sitting in a class room. The only noise that was audible came from a bunch of blonde girls who didn't even know what was going on in the field. And the girls whoop came only from the corners where Beckham had to kick a corner kick. BTW: The world doesn't give a rat's ass about american football or baseball? So why watch?

I don't know where you got that info from, but I know NFL is working its ass off to introduce the game to other countries and it is not working out so well. Moreover, in some countries american football is confused with other sports such as rugby. Make sure, if there is any, it's the american football. BTW: I exclude american sister--Canada.

As for the other countries, it would obviuosly take time for them to understand, but that's how things begin.

Actually when I said it's not working out so well I meant NFL Europa that just got discontinued. If somehow the NFL succeeds internationally, then I hope the criminal behavior of NFL players won't also spread with the game.

After I came to the US I tried to watch the premier league live and I learned that I had to pay $19.99 per view? Well, I had to watch something that doesn't cost $19.99 per view--American football.
I love the Hawks and Cougars followed by Chicago Bears. And if Paul Alan puts his money to his mouth then Sounders FC will be my soccer team from north America!

Half of the comments on youtube that are negative and against certain country's come from Americans. For example one comment stated that Hitler should of wiped out all of the slavic countries. The man who put the comment was American. I feel like those people represent USA. True what you just said made me relise that i am wrong but people like that who make comments like that are dumb apes. So i came here to get my revenge which is wrong.

No worries. But please keep in mind that half of the negative comments on youtube do not come from Americans. There is a pretty good mix over all, and I kind of doubt any particular country holds the individual record. All of us youtubers are obviously very different people in person, and often we post comments we'd never say in public. Basically, we're rarely ourselves on line.

We were in Vietnam for 10 years and lost 40,000+ men. Some months during that war we lost more than 2,000 troopers. Now we're in Iraq and have been there 5 years and lost 4,000 men. Not to say that that is a good thing but progress is being made over there.
