just an idea.. in korean mythology, messengers from underworld escort dead spirits to hell, and they usually come in a group of three, wearing black clothes.and in the myths, they sometimes let people live longer than they're destined to. is it possible these three were actually portraying underworld messengers in this video? :)

It's about this girl, who lost her boyfriend i guess

so she wanted to commit suicide by overdosing,but that made her throw up,

then she took some more pills

and it killed her

The interpretation that the song is about God or religion in general seems to fit, but it also occurred to me that the song might be about something more morbid.

The girl is lost, alone, and rejected in the world, so she commits suicide. She feels that Death itself is the "one", her only savior.

In short, Epik High is singing about the feelings of a suicidal person.

Its interesting how the lyrics can be interpreted in a positive way one moment and a depressing way another

I interpreted it a little differently... I interpreted it as someone who was suicidal having someone out there who was their savior. They have no one left except for this one person, and that person saves them.

Jesus will be there to help you through this time of darkness. thats why i believe the song is about jesus. because of their reference to "crown of thorns" and the chorus. with "time is tickin" that could indicate that you don't have all day and you need to grab that hand that jesus has offered.

well, i'm not sure if epik high is really the religious type. if you look at their albums they're almost rebels to everything, government, society, so on. and i'm POSITIVE that not all of them are christian. i know they've made reference to the bible before but that was in a totally different manner.

ill take my take on this. on their album they have a little place called the references and for this song the reference is "crown of thorns"

and i can only think about jesus when he had that crown of thorns on his head. for my belief in my translation is their chorus. when you are walking alone in the dark, jesus is their to help you. thats why he's the one and the savior. when everything seems to fail, jesus will offer his hand to you and you can grab it.
