  • its sad, but some of the greatest heroes spawn from some of the most dreadful pasts.

  • 2:16-3:28, Good Will Hunting with Swords

  • Wow so Qui gon jinn never did die.

  • "Once I had a wife...my great love."

Something you're not telling us, Ra's? A daughter, perhaps? Guess we'll have to wait for The Dark Knight Rises.

  • @1991Necromancer in batman:arkham city game he does have a daughter.

  • @bassivity He has a daughter in the comics. She even has a son with Batman. The fifth Robin.

  • @ElongatedVowels I don't read comics so I didn't know that, thanks.

  • why 6 dislikes,Why did you not avenge your parents?.....

  • @OniKitsuneX4 who knows, maybe 6 retards don't wanna avenge their parents.......

  • @NightfireOP they were probably by Batman's villains.

  • Once I had a wife...my great love. But she was...taken from me.

Brilliant line delivery. You can almost feel his pain.

  • @legomanic342 so true...

  • Shame that the Dark Knight wasn't nearly as good as it's prequel.

  • @Danthepest1 that's not the point.

  • From the time i've seen this scene, it has always inspired me to take my martial arts to the next level. Whenever im tired, or i feel myself breaking down, i remember bruce's training. Also, i remember that if i just train, it is nothing. If i have the will, it is everything.

  • Such a great movie, and soon (once it's out), we'll be saying, "Such a great trilogy."

  • When young Bruce says "Alfred..." in The Dark Knight it reminded me of this.

  • Liam Nesson Swag.

  • 3:00-3:10 Watched it like 3 000 times, very inspiring.

  • This is one of the greatest scenes ever made...The idea that no matter who you are your willpower can be enough for anything in life.

  • The dialogue at the end is amazing.

  • 6 people do not have the will to act

  • The only dispute I have with this is this isn't the Ra's Al Guhl from the comic book. Just rename, that is all that I want, I love the character.

  • Still my favourite film, and scene, in the series so far

  • the fact is, nolans idiot fanboys know that tim burton is the only director to make proper and awsome batman movies and they feel threatend, so they make stupid ignorant comments like "burtn is TEH suk!". it only shows your fear of burton topping nolan. but why worry? he did, and already has. so suck it nolanites. face the truth and get off your high dick horse faggots.

  • @burtonrules123 your youtube name is burtonrules123 and you're accusing other people of being fanboys...

  • @patattack24 at least i admit im a fan of ones work. you others like t pretend your not biased but your all nolans nerds all the same.

  • Liam Neeson is the biggest badass of modern-day cinema.

  • That kid is a better actor than Christian Bale.

  • this boy can act... Amazing kid...

  • Liam Neeson = The new Chuck Norris

  • I bet some of the stuff discussed her will be touched on a lot in the 3rd film.

  • Nothing short of brilliant.

The Will To Act scene is my favorite scene from the series so far. So rich in character emotion.

  • after watching some batman, you will notice that any other super heroes suck cuz they need to kill people or super powers to survive

  • Ra's Al Ghul: "You must become more than just a man in the mind of your opponent"

    Bruce: "...I'm not gay"

    Ra's: "wtf"

  • Comment removed

  • what does he say from 3:00 to 3:10? I can't hear what he sas beacause they were fighting.

  • @Hodak55 Training is nothing, will is everything!

  • @postle4 Thanks :)

  • what if it was 600 spartans? ^^

  • Sorry but Dark Knight owns this shitty borefest of a movie. Heath Ledger's performance alone in that movie is better than the whole of Borefest Begins.

  • @themenaceanish You clearly don't understand the purpose of this film in the entire Dark Knight trilogy. If you find this boring, then you don't appreciate storytelling.

  • Warner Bros. reboot this? Ha! Good luck, or better yet don't bother.

  • @TheNissanSkylineGTR1 But they already rebooted it, and it's a huge success. Talking about Batman Begins and TDK. Can't wait to see how they reboot it next. Hopefully we'll see a much more supernatural version with villains like ClayFace and ManBat.

  • @postle4 I would also like to see those science fiction characters to also including killer croc or a revamp of Mr. Freeze. I don't know if they are going to continue where TDKR will end or will just be a whole separate Batman story from this trilogy with all new set of actors having to retell the story of Bruce is what many are concerned about. This new Batman main goal is to fit into the Justice League movie. Then again I'm just picking this info up from other sources from the web.

  • Notice Liam Neeson teaches him to feign taking on sixhundred men.

"You already know how to fight six men. We can teach you to ENGAGE sixhundred."

As said, as long as you are more then a man in the mind of your opponent, they will be reluctant to retaliate. In other words, turn your opponents fear into your strength. Hence you will be able to engage, not fight, six hundred men.

  • man I wish I have a butler like Alfred

  • Alfred created Batman

  • Once I had a wife...

    my great love...

    she was taken from me...

  • liam is pure class, i want to see him in THE DARKK KNIGHT RISES, I MISS HIM ON THE DARK KNIGHT

  • The best motivational scene

  • "Your parent's death was not your fault.....I'm just kidding, it totally was."

  • I'd pay anything for Liam Neeson to teach me to engage six hundred men.

  • @EB1611 I'd payanthing for Liam Neeson to teach me anything, as long as he keeps talking. Such incredible voice act...

  • Comment removed

  • So...not only did he teach Obi-Wan Kenobi, but he taught Batman.

...I think it's fair to say that Liam Neeson is the coolest person on the face of the universe.

  • The Leauge of Shadows should exist

  • Training is nothing Will is everything!

  • suck it burton

  • @SuperMicklovin fuck u, burton shits all over this terribly BORING movie.

  • @burtonrules123 Exactly how ? Burton never read a comic in his life, every thug that was in the movie looked like a little emo,he had prince music,he made joker kill batman's parents,he had Batman kill people,he made batman weak enough to get beaten up by an emo thug. Oh and keatons interpretation of bruce wayne was the worst version i have ever seen. You think this is boring ? Go watch a micheal bay flick

  • @SuperMicklovin oh please moron when will you nerds stop useing the same tired story of "burtn neva reed teh comics" BS. NOLAN NEVER DID EITHER ASSWIPE. he only looked at SOME of the 70's comics when doing the movie to get he feel he wanted. burton did the same thing, read the killing joker and TDKR for inspiration. also burton influenced many COMICS wth his films, look at penguin from "the longhalloween". i'd love to see nolan do tat.

  • @burtonrules123 Burton never read the killing joke or TDKR, No idea where you're getting your facts from. Burton himself said "People who know me know I have never picked up a comic book in my life" Inspiration ? ha where did the inspiration go ? Batman 1989 wasn't at all like the killing joke. You just offended a great comic sir

  • @SuperMicklovin as for bruce wayne, i will take an interesting looking slightly offbeat serious actor with superb comedic timeing and who is actually INTERESTING over some wooden hollywood prettyboy whos idea of "acting" is simply giving a blank stern face every 5 seconds.

  • Can someone tell me who the old chinese guy that gets hit by the canon is? i always thought he was Ra's

  • @MrSquibman11 : Ra's is more like a the name of the leader. The old chinese guy was the leader of the League and they called him Ra's and after his death Liam Neeson took over the role and he became Ra's.

  • @MrSquibman11 The chinese guy is Ra's al Ghul's decoy.

  • @johnrevcorn Japanese

  • @Minatohittokiri excuse me, Japanese. I was just replaying to comment and he used chinese. Sorry for the mistake.

  • @johnrevcorn No problem bro no need to be sorry :D

  • @MrSquibman11 No he was the decoy, Liam Neeson was really Ras al Ghul

  • @TheLewisLegend Ohhhhh, thanks haha makes a bit more sense now :3

  • This scene is one of the best in the entire movie, which doesn't say little since this movie is amazng!

  • Well bruce wayne did kill a hooker.......

  • @sesrunner08 True dat.

  • Liam Neeson is an insane actor

  • I need to engage this and dark night on DVD quickly before im overwhelmed

  • Blasting this epic music while playing arkham city!! Too epic for words

  • @yamisupersaiyan Thats the one thing I haven't done yet lol. This and the Dark Knight music MUST be played while playing arkham city.

  • This might give me the courage to talk to the girl I love tomorrow. This is why I never had a girlfriend, I am too shy and never had the will to act.

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer christ...i sympathise. You must break with this habbit or it will make you suffer greatly. Immagine in 20 years how you will regret all of this - is this how you want to live ? If not for the sake of the woman who is waiting for your move (she can be hurt if you dont do anything), do it for yourself. First time it's freakin' hard no doubt, the second time is easier... and then verry much so :) Cheers man, i hope you do it. Do not expect the outcome, just do it

  • @Lywnis Fuck, I couldn't do it. I can't get myself to - its too much, I'm just too shy. Maybe if I get drunk. idk.

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer Just do it man, it's better to be accepted or rejected, than to not know what would have happened.

  • @MarcusKiner I can't, no matter how much I try to think about things like that, I still just can't get myself to - im too nervous and shy. Its too much to take.

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer Having the will to act requires you to eliminate "I can't," from your vocab.

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer well the first step is to admit it which you were brave enough to do. Now just realize that you are not alone and many deal with your problem

  • @TheAnimatorEqualizer im dealing with the same problem. its a horrible thing to live with having the thought of rejection. But i know that I have to find to strength to tell her how much i love her because its better than if she never knows. keep at it man, better days will come.

  • @smoove002 Bruce was already high trained, and highly disciplined, when he was approached... When the student is ready, the teacher will appear ;)

  • @TakingTheRedPill69 that is so verry true!

  • Liam Neeson is a BADASS!

  • @tonious35 After playing Arkham City, I'm ever more fully convinced that Bruce can not only engage 2000 men, but fight all of them. At once. On new game +.

  • Comment removed

  • CHUCK NORRIS TRAINED BATMAN!!! NOT RA'S AL GHUL!!

  • When I first saw this part of the movie in theatres, it really made the whole Batman origin make so much damn sense. If Batman is so unstoppable and scary to the criminals of Gotham it's because he was intensely trained by the most notorious and deadly Ninja Assasin Clan led by Liam FUCKING Neeson.

  • After playing, Arkham Asylum and the recent Arkham City, I'm fully convinced that Bruce is able to engage six hundred men.

  • @vars280287 After playing Arkham City, I'm fully convinced Bruce is able to engage 2000 men and women with swords and guns, and have sex with all the women he defeated.

  • @vars280287 600 hell Id say OVER 6000!

  • @ZombiesgodAngel Fuck that, OVER 9000!

  • Batman's super power is basically his willpower, he never gives up.

  • liam neeson = boss

    christian bale = boss

    hans zimmer = double boss

    christopher nolan = big boss

christopher nolan + hans zimmer = fucking boss orgy

  • @BananaYanana LIKE A BOSS

  • @Drogsboy97 Fuck off.

  • @Mythicalcurse That was incredibly rude

  • @Drogsboy97 Oh grow up. Oh... you're 13/14. Sorry I forgot...

  • @Mythicalcurse Yes indeed im 14 but I dont see why im being insulted

  • @Drogsboy97 For posting a stupid over used comment.

  • @Mythicalcurse I never actually saw that comment a lot.Still I hate over used comments and see where your coming from but its quite silly to insult someone just because of using a overused comment

  • my anger out-weighs my guilt, never before has a movie character devoted himself to truly understanding the concepts of good, evil, right, wrong and the motivation for justice and lack there-of. bale is not an actor but rather an artist, he does not enjoy interviews and he (just like heath) drowned themselves into these characters of cristopher nolan to put forth such a performance....the will to act...

  • I wish Liam is really back. There are rumors but if he does. Then I love Nolan forever

  • Ra's daughter, Talia better be in the next movie. The only woman Batman has ever loved.

    Fuck Selena Kyle.

  • hmm

  • @sagesph I managed to find authentic ninjutsu school...I lasted for 3 years before I quit...it was saddistic, painful and tedious. Definitely not my cup of tea

  • @Lywnis How? Where?

  • Where could I possibly locate a ninjutsu martial arts school?

  • @philam90 Real ninjutsu is a secret art so it would be hard to find schools that teach it. It would be like finding a school that trains you like they train agents from the secret service. Although, if you're not a stickler for detail, there are other martial arts that will teach you similar stuff.

If you ask me, you should just take Kung-Fu. After all, it was used as a barehanded method to defend oneself from the armed soldiers of China. Pretty cool stuff

  • Master Qi Gon!!!

  • Ra's Al Ghul is so evil in Batman Akham City

  • damn you're making me want to watch batman begins all over again.

  • Ras will only be flashbacks in Dark Knight Rises. and Bane will kill Batman at the end of the movie. Bruce Wayne has to die. thats the only way to end an epic Trillogy.

  • @CashDayYoung Exactly.

  • one of the best scenes ever filmed

  • Is there anyone else that agrees with Ra's Al Ghul? He is my hero, he made greater impact on me than Bruce Wayne.

  • @IWantToUnderstandIt :Ra's al ghul is jus a great character played by an legendry actor Liam Nesson. I do want to c more of Ra's al ghul in TDKR. 2. Talia al ghul has to come to seek revenge for her father's death.

  • Chuck Norris fought Liam Neeson once.

Their battle became known in legends only as the "Big Bang"...

  • ra's is just an law abiting citizen... lots of respect for these kind of punihers

  • Liam has been cast and has wrapped his filming.

  • It's amazing, the father and son relationship Ra's Al Ghul shares with Bruce Wayne. As if Ra's is Bruce 20 years ago, had he taken a darker path. Just the dialogue between Bruce and Ra's was enough to make this the best Batman movie ever made.

  • "You know how to fight six men, we can teach you to engage six-hundred."

Am I the only one that appreciates the imagery Nolan is able to create simultaneously with his amazing script? Michael Bay take notes...

  • @MrLogic561 So fucking true.

  • @MrLogic561 i completely agree with what you said

  • The dislike bar's like a ninja: i know its there but I can't see it

  • Training is Nothing...Will is everything! The Will to Act !!

  • I want to see a comic about Raz Al Ghul. Nolan made him awesome again :D

  • @bloodrunsclear Too bad Bruce kills Raz Al Ghul after the training and burns his facility down. This was not necessary in my opinion. He could have left gracefully after the training, why kill the man who aided in training him.

  • @Mark1Mach2

Is he really dead though? ;)

  • @bloodrunsclear No :) the real one was not that Chinese guy (it was Leeson)...but Bruce didn't have to kill that Chinese guy either.

  • @Mark1Mach2

I didn't want to make a spoiler! XD

  • @bloodrunsclear any idea if Raz Al Ghul is going to make a come back?

  • @Mark1Mach2 Neeson hasnt been cast but someone's been cast as a younger version of Ghul so he'll probably appear in flashbacks. And someone's also been cast to play his daughter

  • story of my life

  • i never had the pleasure to see this full length movie. How does liam neeson, end up as batman's enemy? i saw a youtube clip of them fighting.

  • @rdd968222 At the end of his training, Batman had to execute the criminal you can see at 2:00. When Batman asked why, Ra's told him that it was to prove that he was worthy of leading his men to destroy Gotham, one of the most corrupt cities in the world. Batman killed Ra's and burned down the temple of the League Of Shadows to stop them, although it was later revealed that Henri Ducard, Batman's mentor, was the actual Ra's while Ken Watanabe was just a decoy.

  • @TheKyuuban thanks for that.

  • wtf they turned batman into a rocky training sequence. i can almost here eye of the friggin tiger, LAME!

  • @burtonrules123 you have a better idea? Please share... Nothing? That's what I thought...n00b...

  • @kabodkhwaamkhid better idea? skip the whoel stupid lame origin and cut to the good stuff.

  • @burtonrules123 "skip the whoel stupid lame origin" The movie is called Batman Begins...the whole point of the movie was to explore his origins....

  • @kabodkhwaamkhid yeah i know but when it originally came out, i thought it was gonna be a batman film like the other ones were only more serious. but it turned out to be COMPLETELY different then what i hoped it would be. i was hopeing more for something like the tim burton movies but instead it was totally boring to me. origin stories bore me frankly, they feel too much like a biography channel special rather then a cool action movie. so yes, i was dissapointed.

  • @burtonrules123 Why can't you appreciate character and storytelling?

  • @truecinema apreciate? whats to apprecite? bales wooden acting and liam neeson doing a evil version of quigon jinn. LAME. gimme jack nicholson any day.

  • @burtonrules123 Yo, ya know, I'm just sayin', yo, ya know, I'm just sayin' Paulie, I ain't know Bruce Wayne ya know . . . I'm just a guy from Phillie, Yo, ya know, I'm just sayin' cause I can't sing and dance eh?

  • God, nah, But Liam Neeson is the baddest dude on planet Earth. Begins is an amazing film, but it's not as good as The Dark Knight, the scale of TDK was just too big.

  • does anyone know the soundtrack?

  • @TheFragCup Eptesicus from Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard.

  • @TheFragCup "Eptesiscus" - Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard "Batman Begins" Soundtrack - Track 2

  • What made this scene amazing wasn't the fact that it had amazing editing, or an amazing script acted by powerful actors. What made this scene is amazing is the fact that you could learn from it.

  • @TrulyAppleStudios Excellently said :) Couldn't agree more.

  • @TrulyAppleStudios Like the fact that ninjitsu employs explosive powders for theatricality

  • I always listen to liam neeson when I'm training. His quotes really help when you can't take anymore

  • He'd make an awesome sith

  • @StarWarsStory ikr

  • @3:21

    Batman Pwned!

  • If Taken was linked to The Bourne Trilogy, Liam Neeson could have thought Jason Bourne. They're both CIA

  • 3 people sacrificed sure footing for a killing stroke... and didn't have the will to act!

  • there is so much truth to what liam neeson is saying, and i'm not sure people even realize it. it applies to not just doing couragous or heroic things, but anything that takes effort or heart, or will change your life.it can be hard, you just have to summon the will to do it. great championship athletes and olympians know all about this. any one of us who has played organized sports in any kind of championship game know all about this.

  • 2:30 watch bruce's face change as shit gets real "mother fucker you did not just talk shit about thomas wayne"
