what does geoff mean by you have to back off the sprint? you have to press LB again or use the left rotator thingy BEFORE jumping off the edge? that's what i don't get.

@Egyptmania3000 After you jump off the cliff, flick the LS back to turn off the Sprint. Because the Sprint will stay on while you're in the air, it has to be turned off so the fall is potentially fatal. So Sprint, Jump and quick flick the LS back while falling and before hitting the Elite.

@deathman11jackd The fall will kill you in mid-air. It would be impossible to get it without a Jet-pack, unless you did it in Matchmaking... Which wouldn't give you the achievement.

Iv done this befor but then I got hooked back up to xbox live and had to redownload my profile. So now iv made a good 100 attempts on this but failed every time. Iv made the assassination once with no acheivement but iv also landed on the elites head several times and survived.

you can get the achievement very easily by getting your health low before you do this. if you have full health and shield, just hit yourself with a grenade and immediately goo for it. thumbs up so people will know

I tired this like 50 times in a row. I could kill him sometimes where I just smack him and he drops, but that doesn't count(which sucks). Sometimes I'de just land with no damage and in the funniest one I Mario'd off the Elite and just bounced off his head and landed like eight feet in front of him. Can't pull this off though.

if your having trouble with this make sure your control scheme is on the default. not recon. because you have to be aiming at the elite with your reticle to activate the animation and that is much easier if the melee is tied to the RB button rather than the B button.
