Sure I guess, but I think his playing is interesting however every time he doesn't play like 16ths or faster he plays a few cliches, nonetheless he can play twice as fast as I can, twice as good as I can. HE IS GREAT

No offense dude, but jazz is cliches... it's a vocabulary to a language. That is how you learn the music.

Jazz is not cliches...I think specifically bebop can be. Andreas is a monster bebop player...and whilst he isn't pushing any linguistic or harmonic boundaries, I don't think anyone besides Bireli has ever mastered single note line bebop guitar to the extent that Andreas has. This is Charlie Parker...at warp 9!!

I hope this guy does not go AM radio like Benson. I have only heard Oberg for a couple weeks ( I have been INTO Jazz for 30 + years), I think he has TALENT. He feels it, and can play it. It obviously flows out of him. Right up there with John Mclaughlin & James Emery. I think the only thing he needs to work on is imagination, go somewhere, no one has gone before. He needs to get with some really hip players, like John Lindberg.

hahaha no benson here? maybe you havent heard benson that much, and i know a LOt of jazz guitarist the list is endless.. from charlie christian to kurt rosenwinkel.. and this is so benson style and sounds.. maybe you are taking it the wrong way... i have no doubt that andreas would be honored to hear this. benson has played with the big people like miles davis. respect.
