  • It came out lookin nice

  • i painted my civic red with the same paint. turned out nice only problem i had after a week of being out side it lost its gloss fast so it was semi gloss but all it needed was clear.

  • I was wondering which is better...gloss black or high gloss? I dont see anyone using the high gloss tremclad black

  • @thenewpainter I honestly don't know the difference between the two, and my guess is that it's not significant enough for you to notice a difference in your finish product. If it costs the same then go for it, otherwise I would just use the regular Gloss.

  • @patlemire Please make a step to step video (and watch my walk around vid of my 1991 honda civic) gona do bodywork then do this painjob. also black so would be nice for u to explain

  • @MrRubberDuckClan I have step-by-step instructions in the description. Follow that to the tee and you're golden.

  • oh i forgot to ask if you used a primer as well,, thanx

  • @kvette053 I did not use a clearcoat. Using a clearcoat will make the paint look a lot better, if you have the extra time and patience to do it then you should. I did not prime the car

  • did you use any clear coat after the last black coat

  • Excellent videos. And also thanks for putting up your step by step guide.

  • very cool! thinking of painting my 86 mazda 626 like this. thank you for the awesome vid!

  • ok i read your description and did you use a roller? not a spray gun?

i have my paint and gun ready but you think its better with roller?

  • @CH3EY909 I rolled my paint. There are no streaks and everyone is always surprised when I tell them I rolled it. I have heard of people using a gun to spray their paint, but I'm personally not familiar with it nor have I seen it done in person. The thing about using a gun is you have to be sure your paint mixture is done very accurately. If you do it send me a picture of the finish product, I'm curious to see how it would turn out.

  • @patlemire ooh ok. i always thought rolling would leave streaks or marks. I have painted cars before but i used actual car paint and clear coat, but i've been curious to do so and im just going ahead with the gun though. ill post a vid of the process soon.

  • @CH3EY909 I rolled mine and I have no streaks or mark as I mentioned in my last video! Cool, I would love to see it when it's done. Let me know.
