  • I agree this is a powerful scene...her reaction to the words "you spoil that kid every chance you get" seems spot on and very emotional. makes me a little teary cant lie...

  • This was always one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Paltrow is a very good actress but her film choices have been a little off since she won her oscar.

    i disagree. i think people are unfairly nasty towards paltrow based solely on her unlikeable real life personality. when you tot up her film work, shes actually one of the most consistant actresses in her field and has given some truly masterful performances since her win ("the talented mr ripley", "the royal tenenbaums", "shallow hal", "sylvia", "proof", "iron man", "two lovers"...)
