  • how u would make a reset button?

  • you could have a reset button on the inside that would reset the switchs?

  • @paddypeyton That's a great idea actually.

  • problem is if someone happens to walk by when you are inside they will see the code!!

so it won't really help. to make a good lock you would have to make it so that no one could see it

  • @ThatSommeS That's true, but this is Minecraft...One could just as easily break the doors and enter. It's not meant to be practical. I was just experimenting with Redstone.

  • lol 0:43 your house is on fire O_O

  • I made a redstone door lock with a combination check it out.

  • The circuit is way more complicated than it needs to be. Applying De Morgan's laws, you only need up to 7 NOT gates and a single OR. Just invert the bits that are supposed to be "1", OR all six connections, invert the result, and hook it up to the doors.

  • @shido534 I'm not familiar with De Morgan's laws, but you're right, that would have condensed the circuit significantly. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • you have a burning house

  • the combination should be 101010 since it's the ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything...

  • @Sefalus1118 no thats 42

  • @gtholadude 101010 is binary for 42

  • @OfficialAxid Too bad this isn't YOUR vid. I was just making about shut the fuck up bitch damn.

  • @OfficialAxid Holy shit what was that a month ago stop trolling through comments. I do not griefe either I am just saying if a griefer wanted to he could just break it.

  • why are you making the lock so big?

  • @iwacher In Minecraft, the blocks are so big that even simple circuits such as this one take up a good amount of space. I don't of any way to make a 6-switch door lock much more compact.

  • @iwacher, and your takin way more space then what you need...

  • too bad I can just break the wall 0.o

  • all you need to do to get in is place a switch next to the door though... If you do a single door, and reverse the signal to where the door is always open and closes when the signal is correct, then just put the door on sideways to where the doors "open" position is actually closed, than the only way to get in is to get the code right.... or break the door. And you can have the switches on the wall next to the door too.... i've got an 8 digit code for mine....

  • @jpierce1987 Yeah, it's not meant to be practical. I just wanted to experiment with Redstone.

  • what do u do with redstones?

  • Wow! Nice job that must have took a LONG time to figure out and build. Also can you do a tutorial on how to open two doors at one using a lever or a button?

  • @Randombutfunvideos Actually, it only took one day of work.

To open two doors with one switch, all you have to do is split the Redstone line from the switch into two Redstone lines, each of which is linked to a door. It would look like this (ignore the periods, they are there for spacing):

    door______door

    ...............|

    ...............|

    ..........switch

  • @kindofdoon Cool! I got it to work thanks!

  • This shit is too complex for my simple mind :D

  • Brilliant! Can't wait to see the final product!
