  • @MrGmeproductions I don't see a lot doing an hour long circuit but they still work out

  • 2:18 How many professional athletes do you think actually do this stuff?

Uhmm well all of them hun

  • then he boaks his brains out

  • That seems like such a valiant waste of effort.

He should be squatting, deadlifting, benching, pressing, and he should replace all that Planet Fitness shit with actual cardio and plyometrics.

But what do I know? I'm just some fuckup who admires Rich Franklin.

  • Rich is SUCH a machine! And no one can test his cardio in the UFC!

  • I wouldn't mind giving her a workout

  • 2:21 takes a sneak peak at the hot chick :D

  • that chick is HOOOT!

  • Franklin is a beast, freak athlete!.This would make even most hardcore guys to struggle bad.lol.Machine excersises are great aswell,Franklin is having one of the best strength and condition trainer there is out there..i think he KNOWS his buisness much more than YouTube warriors.

  • @anticravity pretty sure this isn't the only workout he does. Most athletes completely change their workouts every now and then. I mean, he doesn't even do core work here and everyone knows a fighter's life is his core

  • machine training?... what the hell?

  • song?

  • What happened to Rich? Did he retire?

  • @ChingasosMMAVideos he got destroyed by the spider, nvr quite recovered from that

  • In mma there is so much risk in losing a fight if u lose 3 in a row ur out and u drop in rank there is so much on the line that if ur injured enough that you think u won't be able to win they pull out it's not the fear of losing it's what at stake

  • I met him the other day. No one weight trains like him in the middleweight division. The strongest middleweights in term of strength is yushin okami and rich franklin.

  • What, no pullups?

  • id fight rich before i would fight his trainer!!! damn two tours in Nam, look out!

  • Has been to war where pain is an everyday occurence, you have to improvise adapt overcome or be deemed weak a failure. Soldier on cause pain is the name of the game.

  • He doesn't want to fight Tito he knows one more loss an he's bamma bound. I understand training is hard an rough on the body but the fighters of today don't have the same heart as the early UFCers. They fought injured, on short notice, 3-4 times in one night ! Boxers even when do you hear a boxer missing a fight due to training injury ? Almost never. Today all the fighters are pulling the injury card, if you can't fight through pain your in the wrong sport. I only say this as an infantrymen who

  • @OxMan33 I've had 2 opponents pull out of fights due to illness or injury, I think it's out of a fear of losing

  • Jeeeeezzz ... that athlete deserves a better workout man? Jeeeeezz ...

All that effort, into this? Come OOOOON!

    Mark

  • It's workouts like this that made me switch from being a football player to a wrestler

  • For a complete MMA training and workout program, visit

    jeff-joslin-mma.co.uk

Take your skills to the next level!

  • he is strong

  • Like... Hell.

  • I wish he was close to me. i would love to let him train me..

  • A lot of people are saying his training isnt all that hard and pointless I'll like to see how long they could go anybody can talk the the talk but doing it is different matter just haters anyway i liked it makes me want to go hard in the gym

  • Cro cop would kill him in the ring...

  • @ndzordz 1) Cro Cop's a different weight class 2) No he wouldn't if he was 205 3) cro cop is washed up 4) he was amazing in japan, why is it that he can't even save his career in america?

  • @KillSpreeGaming Bruce Lee was tin but was beating much bigger opponents. If he is real fighter he has to fight no matter the weight, height, all we are humans

  • @KillSpreeGaming And don't underrate 'The Balkan Machine' - Cro Cop

  • @ndzordz Cro Cop is Overrated...

  • @KillSpreeGaming Read some more about him and of course watch his fights

  • @ndzordz I think he's a great guy because he does it for the passion and not for the money, I think he does fantastic preperation for his fights, and I'll admit he looked really good in his last 2 fights, but what I'm saying is is that Mirko just really isn't that good, compared to a lot of fighters in the UFC.

  • I don't get it. Why doesn't he do compund movements like bent over rowing, deadlifts, military press and so on? I'd guess that especially martial artists can profit from that kind of exercises.

  • @anticravity agrre, why all the machines and not many free weights and compound exercises?

  • @anticravity I agree with you man. Im guessing since hes doing all these machines nonstop for an hour, machines would kinda be better so the weights wont fall on him if he goes to failure.... but he has a trainer with him to spot him so I guess Im wrong but thats all i can think of. But yeah nothing beats Squats, deadlifts, powercleans, bench press etc etc for strength training.

  • @anticravity i was wondering the same thing.

  • @anticravity hes working out to be a better fighter not a bodybuilder you fat dumbass.

  • @anticravity because muscular endurance is far MORE important than brute strength in a fight - especially one with 5 x 5 minute rounds.

  • @anticravity dude, compound movement build the most amount of muscle.

his goal is muscle and endurance, so he cant workout just to build muscle he has to up his heart rate as well.

  • this training isnt that intense alot of the movements actually seem pointless

  • I like it how he ignores the cunt at the end

  • Who is that chick

  • rich is a beast one of the greatest of all time fuck you you haters

  • that coach looks like he's father of that actor that played punisher 2

  • Thats a beast right there. He is truly one of the best fighters till now.

  • I want to see that hot chick do some squats and goodmornings!

  • what a machine and that chick was damn hot

  • cardio is the number one reason nick diaz goes all out every round and never looks tired

  • okey. so endurance 45 min .

how many reps on each machine?

  • @1337Naples okey. well i found an awsome workout now.

  • overtraining...explains why rich usually gasses by the end of round 1.

  • Inspiration!!!!

  • Respect the warrior

  • turn that retarded music off

  • wow this is intense. id love to have a gym like that and a trainer like a marine to kick my butt like that.

  • ive seen (and so have you if you have done any proper training), guys going non stop for well over an hour doing way more intensive and way higher impact training with alot more resistance. When the trainer said that Frankiln is a machine and he's never seen anyone like him i reckon he was talking him up big time. In addition, Franklin had his world class trainer and some not so random camera and hot chick helping to inspire him where as us gym rats do it all solo a lot of the time. Props to us

  • She's Outstanding!

  • nice girl :D

  • And he still can't win in the cage.. all that hard work for nothing.

  • I think training has something to do with fighting. But he realy does need MORE SPARRING!!! LOL

  • See now what I don’t understand is how did Anderson the Spider Silva destroyed this man unbelievable that fucking shows you that Anderson Silva is the fucking king of MMA I don’t give a fuck what anybody says

  • 0:01 just have to say Rachelle Leah is gorgeous .....

  • one thing to remember

kicking ass in a gym doesn't mean you kick ass in a cage

all fighters should remember that...sparring is more important

lets see if there are people who are "hating" me just because of this comment :D

  • @TheBTHONG i totally agree with you... i do mma a little and i beat opponents who are way stronger but horrible fighters because they spend to much time in the gym.

  • @TheBTHONG depends kicking ass in a gym could mean in a mma gym or sparring

  • different strength coaches have different workouts so everyone is going to say my training is better. If so, post it.

  • different strength coaches have different workouts so everyone is going to say my training is better. If so, post it.

  • rich franklin is my friends uncle :D

  • @qazqazqaz113 I cannot express how jealous I am of your friend. lol

  • @qazqazqaz113 Because his uncle is Rich Franklin I mean... lol Sorry In retrospect I guess that was a strange thing to say just out of the blue. He's one of my absolute heroes in mixed martial arts.

  • rich franklin is one of the best athletes in MMA,,,but he is an average fighter

  • @thedamgame 28-6. yeah real average

  • Chick: "Idk how he does, it's crazy. I wanna suck his weiner"

Rich: O.O "I'll be mixing up core today Mike"

  • i'd murder that shit

  • i bet he fucked that hot chick after this video... 60 times... and didn't even break a sweat.

  • much respect. God Bless brotha

  • Which program tv is this?!

  • This is guy is a beast..crazy workout

  • This guy is the epitome of how I would LOVE to be at the gym, but never will. insane

  • NO PAIN NO GAIN!! LOTS OF HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION,..TO THE TOP!!!

  • i think this is paul phoniex saying no pain no gain

  • Anderson Silva

  • Jim Carrey getting ripped 1:42

  • @irishguy331 hahahaha, so true.

  • This is a good video showing about what he does thats cool and all but im looking for a video that shows his routines

  • While you neards are on here bitchin about how you could do it no problem sitting in ur comfy chair eatin cheatos Rich is out there lifting more than you weigh (which is prolly a bit....) with each arm..

  • Rich Franklin comes to my gym every once and while its called AMC kickboxing by the one and only Matt Humes who if u didnt know is a fucking legend. Anyway he helped me train once and honestly this guy is hella chill and super nice, and probably wouldnt give one fuck bout the haterz. And of course he would kick anyones ass haha definitely a beast.

  • ya this is what i do. 15 reps, 7 stations, and 5 rounds. so i would die if i workedout with him. end of story

  • THIS GUY IS TRULY ONE OF THE BEST UFC FIGHTERS EVER

  • animal

  • @ hosmanc, got to agree like my earlier post the machine training is terrible for any athlete. He would be a much better athlete if he didnt use a bastaradised circuit training routine.

  • imagine whatd he do if you got a problem wrong in his class

  • yo people SHUT THE HELL UP MAN...can u do wat he does??/try fightin wit him...see how all dat shit talkin goes...no wer...train hard play hard brah!!!dats da name of da game..and yeah...i bet he did that girl..sweet!!!

  • serious endurance.... im drenched in sweat after doing somethin like that for 10 mins

  • Jim Carey does some serious training damn!

  • @britvroman nah bro, fucking rich franklin

  • Kick ass.

  • Rich Franklin =Jim Carrey......Their looks are 95% in common......wt do guys say???

  • Love Rich but this awful machine training and isolation training is such a terrible joke. There is no functional carryover to this horrible workout. Inner thigh machine? REALLY?!!

  • @hosmanc so i bet ur in better condition and are a better athlete then him huh?

  • she fucked him after the workout

  • Hard workout but I don't like it tbh. 1st of all I think circuit training is bullshit. Its a bastardisation of training methods. If you want strength you are better off strength training, if you want aerobic endurance you are better off doing steady state cardio, if you want lactate threshold increases you are better off doing interval sprints. lol apart from that criticism, the work out is all machine weights which is rubbish for mma as it prevents the use of any stabiliser muscles.

  • @rabiddogblizzard1 I think by just looking and riches body u can tell that circuit training works this guy never gases out in a fight

  • I wish I could get his exact 50 minute training schedule would be awesome or at least any training to give me his physique

  • heh_áñÿ_gÙÿs_wàñt_tÓ_chàt_wïth_mE

  • LOL! At 2:43 - he's like "bitch get outta ma face" to that broad!

  • one of my favorite fighters of all time. the guys classy, knows wat to say at the right time, just a nice guy and the amount of effort he puts into every performance is unbelievable

  • I TOTTALLY AGREE NOBODY CAN HANG WITH HIM

  • wtf is this even possible? NO BREAK? NO REST? FOR 50 MINS?

  • @CalgaryBeEasy I tried it yesterday to try a new training for me and i was wiped and almost threw up. im not sure if it is haha

  • @kerplunk1992 yeah it does that, it was so weird when i tried this. you feel so horrible, about to throw up, and you just feel like sitting in a corner and dying......but if you do it enough youll get use to it and be very fit(obviously)

  • @CalgaryBeEasy yes, very obviously.

  • 59 people r fat asses

  • Makes my four circuits a week look lame. I watch this and I know I neglect legs. This guy is so motivated! I don't know whether to be inspired or ashamed. Respect, dude!

  • Everyone thats saying, that workout dosent do anything to help ufc or mma its pointless..really? why aint you in ufc or where Rich is at.!?

  • you don't need no damn cardio if you workout like this lol

  • She is simply beautiful!!!!!

  • 1 hour of none stop work out X 6 times a week, P90X baby

  • jim carrey's brother

  • @MrJuls09 His nickname is "Ace" because he's looks kind of like Ace Ventura.

  • @lapacho Ahhhh makes sense....

  • Comment removed

  • I think he should smash his nose with the weights. That should roughly simulate what it feels like to take a knee to the nose from Anderson Silva.

  • that chick is fucking hot

  • Whats the bet he didnt train for the fight, he trained to get laid by that chick ;)

  • @PaleoAthletics rich franklin is a legend, if you know so much about training why arent you the champ or even training champs, stfu and respect dipshit rich franklin obviously knows what it takes to win

  • I'm new to MMA, but this guy strikes me as a good role model!

  • @benlucas6 He definitely is. Chuck Liddell called him the Nicest Man in MMA before they fought

  • He's so humble, and yet so strong. That's Amazing.

  • who cares what she siad :P

  • rich franklin is a fuckin beast!

  • How pathetic. Where are the sports specific movements? Where is the carryover of leg extension machines to MMA? Little to none. Rich fire your trainer he hasn't a clue.

  • @PaleoAthletics this is just strength and conditioning im pretty fucking sure he has other guys to fucking get him better fighting wise

  • @PaleoAthletics I'm pretty sure there aren't many muscles you couldn't use in a fight. Leg extensions? Your quads are going to be helping you trip up a persons leg with 200lbs on it. Helping you stand up when wall walking. Not to mention being the main muscle in your leg helping to generate a kick. He said he works every part of his body so the end result would be his entire body being strong. And what makes a heavy punch? When you use your entire body to generate the power. Including quads...

  • @PaleoAthletics This is just the strength training part of the training he goes through. I'm sure when he goes to practice he's getting all the sport specific movements he'll need in a fight. I was, however, surprised at how many machines he used vs free weights, but whatever works for him.

Rich is an amazing athelete and i'd love for him to one day get another chance at the UFC title. Silva is crazy good though.. but i feel his time is coming.

  • @PaleoAthletics your a knob

  • @PaleoAthletics your a knob

  • @PaleoAthletics your a nerd

  • damnnn jim carrey can train!!!

  • 18% body fat.

  • imagine this dude as your math teacher

  • wut dus she mean "18%"?

  • this guy strong

  • I bet he fucked the shit outta that bitch with his monster dong.

  • i cant wait for the ufc 126 franklin v griffin (Y)

  • this is the dumbest shit ive ever seen. do you know what this get you trained for, lifting weights on fixed machines for and hour straight-thats it. I think it shows amazing athleticism and determination but its a waste of time that otherwise could be used much more effectively.

  • @kman87675700 i think thats a little harsh, obviosly this is beneficial or he wouldnt be doing. He is a profesional athlete with profesional trainers. Now i dont know alot, but as far as i kno a circuit such as this that works the whole body with high reps does a number of things. It trains your muscles to worrk with lactic acid buildup and fatiggue, and builds a never quit mental toughness. I can see what your saying a bit because it is just weights, not fight training. 1 hour isnt a waste tho

  • @kman87675700 This wouldn't likely be his sole resistance program. I'm sure he has a varied program which includes body weight stuff (push up variations, chins, plyometrics etc..) Olympic lifting complexes, strong man type workouts like tyre flips, pushing and pulling drilss etc, etc...

On it's own you're probably right. It's not the best workout for a fighter, however, as part of a larger program it appears to be a good cog in an overall conditioning machine.

  • @kman87675700 oh cool how many times did you defend your UFC middleweight title?

  • that chick is hot !!!

  • Why is there always a bunch of moronic nerds critisizing workouts and claiming they are better? STFU nerds!

  • @SteveSmith26 "moronic" "STFU".... that sounds nerdy to me man

  • What a monster :O

  • no fedor is the best !!! hail mighty russia!!!

  • He is doing these excersices so that when it comes to the 5 round fight his muscles won't fatigue easily. If you watch closely he is not lifting 2 or 3 hundred lbs. Relatively light weight, tons of reps, and non stop. Totally about making sure his mucles aren't going to poop out on him before his cardio.

  • 59 fat fucking haters!!! HAHA, I bet you coulnt do 1/4 of this training. You dumb fucks fail to remember that this is just one workout. Rich probably does 2'a days like 5-6 days a week.

Why does he do this? why dosent he do that? this person is better.....

WOW You must really hate yourself !!!!

    I feel sorry for you.

  • He just does this training to lose? I dont see any champs doing this.. Hes a good fighter.. but cant compete with the best

  • @bryz2034 He has only lost to a handful of guys, all of them some of the best in the world. Regardless, this s about muscle endurance, when is the last time Franklin gassed out in a fight? Never?

  • @Kinosis79 what was rich franklin's theme music at TUF 1 finale vs ken shamrock?????

  • @bryz2034 They don't show a lot of what the champions do .. xD

GSP's training is pretty intense too.

  • damm i bet he fucked that hot chick after this video haha :P

  • @Armylad2k10 After any intense workout like that the last thing on your mind is sex. Train. Eat. Sleep. Sex on off-days.

  • @Armylad2k10 ye im sure he did even though hes married with kids..."armylad" pfffffft fanny

  • @Armylad2k10 no, he didn't, after that damn training routine, I don't think he can't :(

  • rich franklin is one of my favorite fighters hes lost only to the best fighters in mma

  • This was pre Anderson Silva rhinoplasty.

  • why the HELL is he doing all these isolation exercises?! there is no use for them in mma...

core training and compounds is the way to go. functional strength.. explosive plyometrics.. muscle endurance over size..

seriously, what the hell did his strength coach study? no training science, that's for sure!

  • @wubs23 And how many times have you been the Undisputed Middle Weight Champion of the World?

  • @rckr24 I am not saying i am better, i sure as hell am not. i am just saying i dont understand why he is doing this kind of training.

  • @wubs23 he's unlikely to put on muscle size with the high amount of reps he does, circuit training tends to be more of a cardio workout rather than hypertrophic
