Hear Hear! to "actions are more important than beliefs" If only those who say "faith is enough" would get off their butts and feed the poor, visit the sick and imprisoned etc, the world would be such a better place. "faith is enough" christians are just lazy christians waiting for the good people of the earth to do what they should be doing all along.
5) I have no problem with suggesting God used a Big Bang to start it all off. But if thats true, where did the Big Bang come from? Scientist state that the universe was shrunk down to a singularity, a point where the laws of physics break down, but as a starting point, thats not very scieintific. Is that why you would say it is unknown? Without knowing from whence we came, how do we know where we are going?
If you want, I can supply a faithful, yet rational answer to these problems/mysteries
@thatgingauknow - 5) Science can't say definitely how everything came about yet. That's why I say unknown. Yes they have it down to a singularity now. They went from knowing jack squat a hundred and fifty years ago all the way back to how old the universe is. That's going a long way in 150 years. Some day they may be able to go back all the way. If they don't in my lifetime I'm fine with it. Some things may always be unknown.
@thatgingauknow - I think I already know how the christian worldview answers these questions. 1) God gives you purpose. Your purpose is to glorify god in everything you do. 2) Morals are absolute and come from god. 3) Suffering is because of the fall of man. Because of this, sin came into the world and caused all the suffering. 4) If you are "saved" you go to heaven to be with god forever and sing his praises. If not you go to hell to burn forever. 5) God made everything. Is this right?
Where is your commitment to a former love? Your memories of past experiences? What defines 'self?' A conglomeration of atoms? A complex neural reaction? When the plug comes out, what happens to that 'Imaginationland,' since matter is the be-all and end all? How do we trust our senses epistimologically, that they are the positors of truth? Does 'you' actually experience anything at all? What is 'you?' Naturalism doesn't allow properly for a concept of you, and I believe 'self' evidences the soul.
atrocities, or saw the ravages of disease, it would be hard to maintain in the midst of that that its meaningless anyway; cruel i think additionally to tell someone in the midst of that that it doesn't mean anything.
4) There is a part of us that is more than matter. The body averages an entire cell cycle every 20 years or so. If we are but matter, then it could be said by the time that cell cycle finishes, you are no longer the person you once were- where is the continuity?
@thatgingauknow - 4) I have to stand by unknown in the end but I would say that as far as we know, we rot in the ground or sit in a urn in ashes or etc...That's all we really know. Sure, the christian worldview of going to heaven is nicer but is it true? Can you really say it is? Based on what? The word of ancient sheep hearders who claimed to hear god tell them things? So it is unknown, but most likely we die and that's it. I have had a good life. When death comes it comes.
that claim. Is the killing of Innocent children wrong? What of the country of India, where millions of babies were killed last year just because they were female? If thats wrong, then one must call upon a standard outside themselves to make that. You can't have moral law without a moral law giver, otherwise you run into the problem of point 1.
3) So all suffering is meaningless? I dont think anyone in their humanity, including yourself, sits well with that. If you lost parents, or witnessed..
@thatgingauknow - Humans have a better standard of living now because of science. We can end suffering such as hunger but only with science helping us achieve it. By the way I never said suffering is meaningless. I said what does suffering have to do with a worldview? So you screwed my words around.
1) if what you said is true, purpose is relative. You could devote your life to humanitarian work, while another murders serially, an neither of you would be wrong in pursuing that as your life's purpose; isn't that a bit uncombfortable?
2)Transcendental Humanism yes? That hopefully we'll eventually evolve to rationalise better, think better, moralise better; what of objectivity? If you say that something is wrong, you are immediately calling upon a standard outside yourself to justify...
@thatgingauknow - 1) So we know we wouldn't murderers around. Thats very simple. So imagine we are at a meeting on morals. People look around the room and the leader says : Anyone want murderers around? Everyone says NO. How about rapists? No! Hows bout child killers? NO! As you see it's pretty simple. Instead of trying to figure if morals are absolute, if there is some invisable moral lawgiver, lets just deal with what we know. People in general dislike crime and criminals.
@thatgingauknow - Looks like number one already spilled into number 2. So I'll start here with number 3. Again, I don't know why suffering has to be accounted for in a worldview but let me try. Suffering is part of the human condition. Some of it just has to do with nerve impulses. Where there is damage to a nerve , there is pain. It's how our bodys tell us there is something wrong. Science has minimized the suffering of humans greatly. Better medicine, more sanitary conditions.
@TheEarthFirst, but don't you see, thats a faith statement? You have faith to believe in what you do is true. What if the Scientist is wrong? Its why I made the point before that if your a naturalist you have to subscribe to scientific experts (yet just people) being the positors of absolute truth. Let me ask as well, did you look up the man i suggested, out of interest?
@thatgingauknow -I only have time to make one comment, I have to go soon. Science explains everything enough so you know they are right. They can show you proof. No faith to it. You are subscribing to people yourself. There is no proof that what is in the bible is anything but the writtings of ancient man. I don't recall you telling me to look anyone up. I will look up your post when I get back and take a look at it. I look forward to chatting with you because you are a knowlegable christian.
@thatgingauknow If you have problems with faith statements why do you turn to faith for answers? Science is testable and verifiable. Belief in god is faith. 1) The murderer wouldn't get much out of his purpose. Hiding, lying , jail and possibly the death penalty. It probably wouldn't be a long life. Man can define morals. We can and always have decided what is good for mankind. I don't see the work of a diety in that.
@thatgingauknow - 1) contd. - Let's look at how you deicde on what is moral. Murder. If men got together to decide if murder is ok. Who would say yes? If you did decide murder was ok, you would be put a big bulleye on your own forward. You would be making it open hunting season on yourself and all of mankind. Who would want that? Not even murderers would, because they want protection for themselves but they want to break the rules , do what they want and it still be illegal to hurt them.
bible is not a scientific book..it just contains storyes that may be interpretated by it's reader. i believe in evolution, and all scientific descoveries over the years, from the bible i just learned that respect and love are important parts of life. Think by your own, read the books and know about what you are desagreeing before saying ur atheist or a believer., then just make a stand and respect others!
@VitoBandito, look up some of Ravi Zacharias' material on youtube if you are interested in discerning how Christian worldview answers these questions. I assure you, Jesus the man is credible and reliable, Jesus the Lord is well worth you time geeting to know.
@thatgingauknow Isn't Imaginationland great. Talking snakes, boat rides, zombie's walking around, people being smited left and right by invisible forces.
What other supernatural beliefs do you still cling too?
Any worldview must answer five fundamental question, and that includes naturalism (the scientific explanation of everything. 1) what is the meaning of life? 2)How do we determine morality, or moral law? 3) How do we explain suffering? 4) What is man's fate following death? 5) From where did this universe originate? These questions in their resolution within us shall define who we are, and I insist with you that it is only the Christian Worlview that can satisfyingly answer all those questions
@VitoBandito, the questions you raise are legitimate and thank you for raising them. The one question I pose to you if you do believe science is dependable is if the resulting extrapolations of the collaborative efforts of men can be held to be absolute? If not, how can we trust any of it? The truth is that either side that you two intelligent people take, it is a faith stance and commitment you take.
@TheEarthFirst, why are you retorting this way? Your comments and replies are hardly in the Spirit of Jesus' teachings and character. I believe with all my heart that Christian worldview is objective truth and that Jesus is the way to embrace the relationship God means for all humans to have with him. But to approach this relationship without the mind (and all other faculties- heart, soul and strength) is not to love God entirely.
@thatgingauknow - I'm an atheist , Vito is the christian. If I was rude it was because I was given the old christian hell threat which I will never respond well to.
Yes the mind works best when it is open as Einsteing says. He means when it is open to God. Your mind is like our mouths it opens and closes on something solid. If your mind is perpetually open then it doesn't have anything solid to close upon. Your beliefs are that people should stand there with their mouths continuously open and never receive norishment in which to close itself upon and eat. You are in a constant state of open and thus in a constant state of starvation.
@VitoBandito1 Do not shoe horn your god into quotes from famous scientists. Even if Einstein was jewish and believed in a god. God did not help him figure out the Theory of Relativity.
Also FYI do not spew nonsense on a video about keeping an open mind, since you obviously haven't done that or you would accept the videos point of view and leave it at that. Instead you decided to try to bend his words to make knowledge out to be the devil. Its pathetic
@XxSequndaEtapaXx You are worse than pathetic. You're lost. You accuse me of the same tactics of bending truth that you yourself are as guilty as sin of doing and from the very beginning. Satan tried to sell knowledge to Adam and Eve in the Garden and that resulted in all the misery in this world that you so conveniently blame God for It's the same old lie of the serpent used to dupe Adam and Eve. What's pathetic though, is that after all this time, Satan has no new tricks
@VitoBandito1 Please if you are going to insult me calm down and form proper sentences. I am not lost, I know exactly where I am. I am in my bedroom arguing with some one who obviously is so brainwashed by his religion that he believes in the story of Adam and Eve. Since you like that story so much let me pick it to pieces for you.
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Don't let me get your nose bent outta shape. You're in your bedroom arguing with someone who will not allow your brainwashed assertions to go unchallenged. Why not attack the Quran or any other religious book? I'll tell you why, because to your father Satan whom you serve, those other books and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee. Let me see you attack the Quran and leave an address then I'll know you're not a coward like your father Satan is.
@VitoBandito1 If god didnt want them to eat from the tree of knowledge than why did he put it there. If god made Adam from dirt than why was he able to make Eve out of just his rib. Since female bodies are more complex than males. Also why would Satan take the form of a snake? Wouldn't he take the form of some thing that could actually speak? Also why did Eve not question the fact that a snake could talk? Maybe they should of ate from the tree if they didnt realize that snakes could not speak.
@XxSequndaEtapaXx He put it there because God gave them free will and a strict command to obey Him. The tree symbolized what course the human race would take. As you can see from history it was not a good choice nor happy outcome. I'm sure Satan came in the form of something attractive and seductive, but after he ruined God's plan for mankind, God referenced him as the slithering snake that he is in a symbolic sense because that's how much respect He had left for your Satan.
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Well take a good guess? Adam and Eve didn't become celibate because of the apple did they? My guess is it probably made them hornier than hell and they were spitting out babies like no tomorrow! HA HA HA! It's probably that God did not mention the other childeren what were born to Adam and Eve after they corrupted themselves with the sin of disobedience. God took no note of them, but only the ones that were made of His spirit. Too easy, buddy.
@VitoBandito1 Interesting how you only answered one of them. But thats a cop out answer. If god abandoned them when they ate the fruit then how come he spoke to Cain and Able? Why wouldn't he speak to Adam and Eves other children. Ill tell you why: because it is nothing more than an ancient fairytale. Im sorry but anyone who takes that story literally is a fool. I have no problem with people who believe but do not take the bible literally. But when you do you just through all logic out the windo
@XxSequndaEtapaXx What other question and who said God abandoned them? Not the Bible. He still had to protect them from Satan whose whole intent with this deception was to regain his place in Heaven that he lost by some hare brained idea of trying to proving to God that man was as much a sinner as he was and therefore did not deserve the dominion over the earth that he thought he was intitled to. He thought God woud see His error and reconsider, but God doesn't make errors
@VitoBandito1 Not only did he disobey God in Heaven and try to overthrow him there, but in his arrogance he questioned the wisdom of God's creation. So, righfully, God punted him again and NOW, he's pissed. He's enraged that a being made of fire such as he cannot receive salvation over beings made of dust. So God still punished man for their trust in Satan in the Garden but simultaneously protect them so Satan didn't do then what he's been trying to do ever since in his fury....
@VitoBandito1 ...Kill them and failing that try to carry them away from the Salvation of God by somehow deceivng people into rejecting the Word of God. It's all he can do now. He tried to prevent the coming of the Christ by killing the firstborn of the Jews under two years. Fail. God did not abandon them and does not abandon anyone, except for all you new age bastards who ask endless questions and mistake that for wisdom and enlightement.
@VitoBandito1 Sorry I posted the same thing 3 times by mistake.
However this is going nowhere I do not like arguing in circles. Especially since you do not realize that your own explanations disprove your points.
Im sorry you do not see this perhaps one day you will, or maybe its to late for you. Regardless try to understand where Atheists are coming from and not be so bigoted and close minded. Enjoy your remaining time on Earth you only get one shot. =)
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Nice cop out. You got nothing on me, pal. As for close mindedness let me help you there. Our minds and our mouths are made to open and close on something solid. They are not mean to be in a perpetual state of openess. Neither are your eye lids. Try keeping your eyes open without blinking and feel what happens. They begin to burn. Again, like your mouth your mind was made to close on something Solid and True. Otherwise it can never come to the truth.
@VitoBandito1 Yes life is short. Too short to waste on the loser rhetoric of the New Age Movement. Your numbers will not justify you in the end. You can deceive 7 billion people save for one and all 7 billion save for one will not withstand the crushing weight of the enormous boulder of the Almighty that will fall upon you and ground you altogether into nothingness. In the end, only the Truth will prevail. Earth will return to the Earth and The Spirit will return to The Spirit.
@VitoBandito1 - Genes from one man and one women are not enough genetic material for all of mankind to have come from. They would have had the same problems as when brothers and sisters have kids. The genes would be too concentrated. There would have been too many birth difects and humans would have died out quickly. That's why evolution makes more sense. Humans evolved from large populations of apes.
@VitoBandito1 - There is not enough genetic material for humans to have come from two people. Science has shown that. So the adam and eve story is just a fable like the rest of the bible.
@TheEarthFirst I don't understand that. What do you mean, not enough genetic material? Jesus fed thousands of people on 5 fish and a few loaves of bread. How do you explain there being enough material in the universe that if the earth were a golf ball, Canis Majoris would be so large that you could fill the SuperDome with golf balls, 3,000 times over. What science finds confounding, God considers even these mysteries as nothing but foolishness. God is massive and He is miniscule.
@VitoBandito1 If god does not make errors than why did he make an angel that would betray him? If he is all knowing and all powerful why would he create him in the first place. Also you said "God did not mention the other childeren what were born to Adam and Eve after they corrupted themselves with the sin of disobedience. God took no note of them" God took no note of them, meaning he abandoned them.
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Genes from one man and one women are not enough genetic material for all of mankind to have come from. They would have had the same problems as when brothers and sisters have kids. The genes would be too concentrated. There would have been too many birth difects and humans would have died out quickly. That's why evolution makes more sense. Humans evolved from large populations of apes. (I like this question. Why did you remove it?)
@TheEarthFirst I don't see it on my end. It worked for Adam and Eve because God ensured it would, but the Illuminati like the Rothschilds tried the same thing in order to keep their blood line clean because they didn't want their blood intermingled with the rest of those they look down on and have utter contempt for. They tried the same thing as Adam and Eve but their attempt was not blessed. Of the 6 children most died and the ones who didn't were mentally challenged.
@VitoBandito1 So your answer is "god did it". Very scientific. He waved his magic wand over adam and eve. Maybe he even had to blow some fairy dust on them.
@TheEarthFirst No He did not wave any magic wand. He WILLED it. The father of your wisdom and beliefs, the devil, waves magic wands around in order to deceive you. How easily you follow and cast under his spell. How easily you reject God and grieve Him with your endless questions yet fail to make inquiries of the twisted foolishness you so easily accept.
@VitoBandito1 - I reject anything that has no proof. If you want to believe fables that's OK with me, but I don' believe anything written 3000 years ago that has no evidence behind it. When you can give me some convincing evidence I would believe but stupid ancient stories won't do it.
@TheEarthFirst It's not that proof does not exist. It does. You are just being prevented from seeing it. Jesus is the proof and if you want to understand, you need to ask Him to help you. Your means of knowlege cannot reveal Him to you but only Spirit can. Jesus is the answer to all your questions. Even the most learned Christian can only carry you so far. Ask Jesus to reveal to you why the Bible IS the Word of God and He will show you in a way that has personal meaning.
@TheEarthFirst This is not reality. This is dirt. This is the realm of molecules. The realm of Spirit is the True reality. All your reality can never give you joy. You will die in your misery. All your knowlege will never give you the peace that you yearn for. Your conclusions and declarations are all trodden under His feet. You will call upon the Name that you reject. Be it here where He will answer you or in hell where He will not.
@TheEarthFirst What have you accomplished here? Who has had the last laugh? Just so we're clear on this, The Lord sent you away empty handed. Proof again that your demons are no match for the Spirit of God!
@VitoBandito1 And really how many times have you asked the same questions before? Like the Pharisees, it's not that you genuinely want understanding but you want to confound and you will never confound me. I am done answering your questions that lead nowhere. There is nothing edifying in that empty pursuit because you are completely non redeemable anyway so I got better things to do with my time. None of you come with a pure and open heart but with the spirit of the Pharisees.
@XxSequndaEtapaXx That was not an error. God would have erred if the Angel had defeated Him. Lucifer as he was know when he was an Angel in Heaven and bore light became Satan when he could not handle his immense beauty and became proud. So much so that he was not satisfied and wanted more. He wanted power. God's power Satan is an all or nothing kinda guy. Since he can't have it all, he gets nothing. His becoming Satan was a punishment and that still puts God very much in control.
I wonder how you can be so naive as to believe the lie in the Garden of Eden when Satan tricked Eve into disobeying God by telling her that through knowlege she could be like God and that God is afraid of that happening. Well, sir, as you can see, Satan is still up to the same deceptions. Heck if it worked in the garden why not go with that plan again but the thing is and you have to admit, Satan has no new tricks whereas Jesus is bringing people to Christianity thousands of different ways.
I'm happy that you are now happy with who you are though i must say i disagree with your thought process. Things don't need to be so black and white. I identify as a Christian but i still accept the findings of modern science. I've studied the Bible and it's historical context for years and i understand how it was complied, by who and for whom but i'm not offended by it. Christianity is more than simply dogma but an entire culture, Believing is a choice no more or less valid than not believing.
Jesus Christ promies to reveal himself to all who seek him... when he reveals himself to you.. you'll have all the proof and evidence of his existence that you'll ever need, and you'll be forever changed like I was! :D
And the age of the earth is not even told of in the bible. There are Christians who believe in an old earth and even evolution. And the Bible has been proven time and time again to be completely historically accurate. I'm a Christian and I don't freak out like you did; I do my best to love everyone and look at things with reason. I know that Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and that this world is heading towards the beast of Revelation.
You claim to of been a Christian, you may have believed that to be true, but i can deny that you ever were a Christian even without having ever met you, this is how i know. Firstly lets ask the question, what is a Christian?, answer, someone who is in relationship with God through Jesus. Being in relationship with God, means experiencing God, a true Christian does not have faith in His existence, but instead their faith are in His providence. So i advise you to pursue God for real.
@FightingAtheist this is sick. there is a God. someone had to create the world and its creatures it couldn't just appear out of nowhere. miracles are happening everyday and if you just took the time to think about how magnificent the world is you would realise that someone had to make something so amazing and unique! and that someone is God. THERE IS A GOD and you need to open your eyes and realise that before its too late.
@immacstar13 - Your argument has been refered to as the wonderment argument. Science has already showed how possible it is for everything to have come about naturally. Even if you could show there would have had to be a god for the universe to exist, it would not prove it was your god.
@imax1971 Yes, it's all just athiest nonsense known as science that is based on real solid observations that can be replecated also consistantly. Not like the real thiest religions that are 100% true because EVERYONE knows that there is infact an invisible being in the sky that cannot be actually be proved correct by any method, yep... Just regular, run of the mill athiest nonsense here dude.
@TheEarthFirst The term is a few thousand years old. It is found in both the old and new testaments and is relevant today... I would guess that you don't even know the definition of repentance..
@imax1971 - I don't think there's really anything wrong with christian beliefs. Just unproven. I have no problem with anything someone sincerly believes and I wouldn't want to change their belief. It's just them saying I need to believe it too. Also when someone admits it's a belief but also says it's 100% true. None of the basic "facts" of christianity can be proven. Ressurection, empty tomb or there were 500 wittnesses that saw Jesus after dying. No proof or good evidence of any of that.
@TheEarthFirst Not only has 2000 this have past since, the home land of Christianity was also burned to the ground in 70AD by the Romans, so should this be suprising that hard factual evidence would be existent?. However we can take cirtain things into consideration, like if the story in the gospels were just stories, who in their right mind would of had women be the first to discover the empty tomb of Jesus, when women were second class citizens?, this would be knowingly doubtful?...
@shakinahstorm - Well that is curious that women would have discovered the tomb but the fact they couldn't argee on how many women were there doesn't look good.
@TheEarthFirst Interesting, so called biblical contridictions?.
They are simply not errors or contradictions at all. Each writer is picking and choosing which details to report, so that one writer chooses to describe only one angel out of two or leaves out an earthquake. That isn’t a contradiction; it’s the author’s prerogative to choose which details to report as long as an omission does not distort the story, in the same way with the women. Bless ya
@shakinahstorm - Leaving out critical information would be a bad way to write. It doesn't look like that's what happened anyway.Look at the different accounts of what the angels said at the tomb. No way to hammer those together. They conflict.
@Genechanger And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. (Is. 61:4 ) My friend why do you try so hard to discredit the word of god ?I no ,you dont anything about me but i will tell you that there are not many quite like me. The lord is saying to me that if you dont come back to him soon it will be to late. There is not much time left.
@Desdenova262 Clearly, you have never been to England. Religion isn't even given a single mention in our politics! I feel sorry for you if that isn't the case in your country. I thought I explained that, or do you just have selective reading?
@Desdenova262 Yes, because intelligent people often cling so religiously to a single concept or idea. He sounds like he is reading from a pre-prepared script! And not very well, I might add. Also, he hasn't given up his religion at all - Like so many militant American atheists, he is using atheism as a substitute for his former religious beliefs and is defending them in the same dogmatic fashion as the religious.
This shows your ignorance to the meaning of Atheist.
Atheist is the absence of Theist; by itself, it is not even a belief, much less a belief system. And as such it cannot be consider a religion, or even an ideology.
@Desdenova262 You defend your militant atheism with the same zealousness as those who defend their gods and religions. Care to offer an explanation for that hypocrisy? FYI, I don;t believe in gods or religion; I also don;t believe in being a loud zealous american in denial.
@TheEarthFirst People call me a troll, but then most people don't like to have their faults pointed out for them. If you refuse to accept your faults, then yes, refer to me as a troll if that makes you feel better about your own shortcomings.
@SuperQweertyuiop - You call me out for bad spelling , yet you spelled rationalization wrong in the same comment. Good one! No wonder you removed the comment
@TheEarthFirst I didn't delete my comments, YouTube screwed up and I couldn't be bothered re-typing my messages. FYI, rationalisation is spelt with an S not a Z. Look it up. Bet we feel a bit silly now, don't we? Also, you have an unnecessary space before a comma; that is grammatically incorrect. You also forgot to use a full stop at the end of your third sentence.
@TheEarthFirst Took you long enough to figure that out. A wiser man than you would have notice it right away! Also, to Desdenova262, there are many sources that allude to the impression of this militant, dogmatic branch of atheism as being a religion. How can you be so sure that you are right, and they are wrong? Are you American extremists truly so infallible that everything outside of what you believe to be correct is untrue? Sounds like a religion to me.
@Desdenova262 Similarity number one: Narrative. Religion has it's religious texts; Atheism also has it's texts (Dawkins,Darwin etc). Similarity number 2: Social. Religion has vicars, bishops, popes; Atheism has theorists, scientists, writers, Richard Dawkins. Similarity number 3:Doctrines. religion has several doctrines e.g the holy trinity; atheism has it's doctrines e.g. secular humanism. Want me to continue? I have plenty more examples!
@Desdenova262 You misunderstand me when I say that atheism is a religion. I'm not saying it should be one; quite the contrary. I am merely saying that dogmatic zealots such as yourself shouldn't turn it into one, because that defies the point of atheism.
@Desdenova262 Scientology doesn't believe in a God. they believe we are all the children of aliens, or something like that, but they don't believe in a God. What would you class Scientology as then?
I personally define religion as a group with a set of shared beliefs of values, who try to convert others to their way of thinking. The religious try to convert the irreligious. The irreligious try to convert the religious. How is it different? Explain it to me.
@Desdenova262 Every time I try to raise the issue, I am simply told that it means the lack of belief in a God or gods. By that definition, I am an atheist. Would you disagree? If so, then explain to me in your own words the definition of an atheist. And try not to sound too preachy, it may come across as a bit hypocritical and oxymoronic.
@Desdenova262 Ah! Well there it is! You just reaffirmed my belief that most American atheists are former religious converts, which goes somewhat to explain why you defend it so dogmatically. I myself, being born and raised in a multicultural society, but with no religious beliefs, have been raised to be atheist yet tolerant of other peoples beliefs. At least now I understand why you people can't do the same - you can't think for yourself. You need Jesus or Richard Dawkins to do it for you.
@SuperQweertyuiop Your a fool, and a religious troll no doubt, pretending to be educated.
I could care less what superstitions people believe or worship.
As long as they stay out of my government, and out of education system they can do whatever batshit crazy stuff they like as long as it harms no others.
Dawkins is just a smart man, i did not even know of him when made my own conclusions about the gods being made by man.
@Desdenova262 If being born and raised as an atheist in a predominantly atheist country make me a religious troll, then yes, I am a religious troll. Your logic seems somehow flawed.
@Desdenova262 England. Religion has no bearing on politics over here. Although there are plenty of people here who practice religion here (many of which from the Asian communities) the majority of people here do not believe in any kind of God or divine being. Even those who DO practice the religion are usually immigrants practising it to preserve their own culture, and not because they believe in some kind of god. We have a lot of freedom in this country.
@SuperQweertyuiop The Queen, despite being 'Head of the Church of England' is just a figurehead - That title is merely a trophy title. She has no real power over politics - The Royal Family is just another tradition, a tourist attraction. Nothing else.
@Desdenova262 Clearly, you have never been to England. Religion isn't even given a single mention in our politics! I feel sorry for you if that isn't the case in your country. I thought I explained that, or do you just have selective reading?
@SuperQweertyuiop "Clearly, you have never been to England." Again you assume.
This guy makes a video, expressing his view on who he was, and what critical thinking has lead him to let go of stone age superstitions. And you accuse him of practicng a religion called Atheism.
Your Apologetic circle talk is more in line with a christian, and to consider England a Atheist govern country demonstrates your inability to understand what a Atheist is and what it means.
@Desdenova262 Clearly, you have never been to England. Religion isn't even given a single mention in our politics! I feel sorry for you if that isn't the case in your country. I thought I explained that, or do you just have selective reading?
@Desdenova262 Clearly, you have never been to England. Religion isn't even given a single mention in our politics! I feel sorry for you if that isn't the case in your country. I thought I explained that, or do you just have selective reading?

@Desdenova262 Also, you didn't explain the point I made about conversion. Are you not trying to convert the religious, the same way they are trying to convert you? Your lack of an ability to see flaws in your own beliefs clearly shows a lack of critical thinking.
@SuperQweertyuiop - Further proof you are a christian or muslim troll. No atheist would refer to atheism as a religion. Your anal retention, using spelling and grammer instead of a valid argument are all signs you are religious. You are just trying to present atheism as being against itself, the same way you religious people argue against each other.
i am a anti religious person that have studied in a christian school for 14 years. I am glad that i am not a christian in my life. You people are real brave and I will fight along side with all of you!
@1ecajun "This is why people have trouble believe something they can't reason with. It takes faith. You can't reason with God. You all who don't believe WILL stand before him one day." And while we're at it, you who don't believe in Allah and his most holy prophet Muhammad (peace be unto him) will stand before him someday. See, we can make statements with no evidence too.
@1ecajun The "World" also says, "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves." and When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money."
@1ecajun "The Word" also says that Yeshua told his followers about his return, "this generation will not pass away until all these things come to pass", "There are some standing here that will not taste death until they see the Son of Man come in his kingdom," and "whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you shall not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes." Remember how Deuteronomy says to recognize a false prophet? :)
Should be titled 'Confessions of a Former Fundamentalist Biblical Literalist', too many things that are being talked about are far from being common to all Christians.
@SuperHorseman22 You tell a lie long enough it becomes true. This sums up Jesus and the bible. The real truth is science. If you want to embrace God or a Creator embrace the natural world and the universe, not some ancient book that men living in caves wrote thousands of years ago. Open your eyes to the real world! Reality. Quoting the bible solves no problems here on Earth.
i hate to say this, if these so-called 'caveman' wrote the bible, how is it able to maintain 4important rules for so long? yeah science i love it, but i have to acknowledge its limits as well, if science were the answers to everything, i would be very happy
Science is the best tool for examining our world (reality). Science doesn't have all the answers, but in time, I venture to say that it will!
The problem with the bible, and all religious books, especially monotheistic ones, is that they profess to have all the answers and tells us that we need not look any further! Bcuz we can study the J.-C. Religion more thoroughly today than ever before, we know the bible is riddled with errors and contradictions.
i was looking up who or how religion came to be and i found one theory was that rulers made it up to make therepeople believe and behave or they would go to "hell"... makes sense to me
@fringeelements Not from my experience, and I also don't agree with you because I don't think 'better people' means people who want others to suffer for eternity. I don't want people to suffer for eternity because I think it's so very sick and disgusting, unlike christians I suppose.

If you want, I can supply a faithful, yet rational answer to these problems/mysteries
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow - 5) Science can't say definitely how everything came about yet. That's why I say unknown. Yes they have it down to a singularity now. They went from knowing jack squat a hundred and fifty years ago all the way back to how old the universe is. That's going a long way in 150 years. Some day they may be able to go back all the way. If they don't in my lifetime I'm fine with it. Some things may always be unknown.
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
@thatgingauknow - I think I already know how the christian worldview answers these questions. 1) God gives you purpose. Your purpose is to glorify god in everything you do. 2) Morals are absolute and come from god. 3) Suffering is because of the fall of man. Because of this, sin came into the world and caused all the suffering. 4) If you are "saved" you go to heaven to be with god forever and sing his praises. If not you go to hell to burn forever. 5) God made everything. Is this right?
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
Where is your commitment to a former love? Your memories of past experiences? What defines 'self?' A conglomeration of atoms? A complex neural reaction? When the plug comes out, what happens to that 'Imaginationland,' since matter is the be-all and end all? How do we trust our senses epistimologically, that they are the positors of truth? Does 'you' actually experience anything at all? What is 'you?' Naturalism doesn't allow properly for a concept of you, and I believe 'self' evidences the soul.
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
atrocities, or saw the ravages of disease, it would be hard to maintain in the midst of that that its meaningless anyway; cruel i think additionally to tell someone in the midst of that that it doesn't mean anything.
4) There is a part of us that is more than matter. The body averages an entire cell cycle every 20 years or so. If we are but matter, then it could be said by the time that cell cycle finishes, you are no longer the person you once were- where is the continuity?
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow - 4) I have to stand by unknown in the end but I would say that as far as we know, we rot in the ground or sit in a urn in ashes or etc...That's all we really know. Sure, the christian worldview of going to heaven is nicer but is it true? Can you really say it is? Based on what? The word of ancient sheep hearders who claimed to hear god tell them things? So it is unknown, but most likely we die and that's it. I have had a good life. When death comes it comes.
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
If you lost parents, or witnessed..
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow - Humans have a better standard of living now because of science. We can end suffering such as hunger but only with science helping us achieve it. By the way I never said suffering is meaningless. I said what does suffering have to do with a worldview? So you screwed my words around.
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
1) if what you said is true, purpose is relative. You could devote your life to humanitarian work, while another murders serially, an neither of you would be wrong in pursuing that as your life's purpose; isn't that a bit uncombfortable?
2)Transcendental Humanism yes? That hopefully we'll eventually evolve to rationalise better, think better, moralise better; what of objectivity? If you say that something is wrong, you are immediately calling upon a standard outside yourself to justify...
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow - 1) So we know we wouldn't murderers around. Thats very simple. So imagine we are at a meeting on morals. People look around the room and the leader says : Anyone want murderers around? Everyone says NO. How about rapists? No! Hows bout child killers? NO! As you see it's pretty simple. Instead of trying to figure if morals are absolute, if there is some invisable moral lawgiver, lets just deal with what we know. People in general dislike crime and criminals.
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
@thatgingauknow - Looks like number one already spilled into number 2. So I'll start here with number 3. Again, I don't know why suffering has to be accounted for in a worldview but let me try. Suffering is part of the human condition. Some of it just has to do with nerve impulses. Where there is damage to a nerve , there is pain. It's how our bodys tell us there is something wrong. Science has minimized the suffering of humans greatly. Better medicine, more sanitary conditions.

Is God your only superstition? Or do you cling to other wives tales?
Desdenova262 20 hours ago
@TheEarthFirst, but don't you see, thats a faith statement? You have faith to believe in what you do is true. What if the Scientist is wrong? Its why I made the point before that if your a naturalist you have to subscribe to scientific experts (yet just people) being the positors of absolute truth. Let me ask as well, did you look up the man i suggested, out of interest?
thatgingauknow 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow -I only have time to make one comment, I have to go soon. Science explains everything enough so you know they are right. They can show you proof. No faith to it. You are subscribing to people yourself. There is no proof that what is in the bible is anything but the writtings of ancient man. I don't recall you telling me to look anyone up. I will look up your post when I get back and take a look at it. I look forward to chatting with you because you are a knowlegable christian.
TheEarthFirst 4 days ago
@thatgingauknow If you have problems with faith statements why do you turn to faith for answers? Science is testable and verifiable. Belief in god is faith. 1) The murderer wouldn't get much out of his purpose. Hiding, lying , jail and possibly the death penalty. It probably wouldn't be a long life. Man can define morals. We can and always have decided what is good for mankind. I don't see the work of a diety in that.
TheEarthFirst 3 days ago
@thatgingauknow - 1) contd. - Let's look at how you deicde on what is moral. Murder. If men got together to decide if murder is ok. Who would say yes? If you did decide murder was ok, you would be put a big bulleye on your own forward. You would be making it open hunting season on yourself and all of mankind. Who would want that? Not even murderers would, because they want protection for themselves but they want to break the rules , do what they want and it still be illegal to hurt them.

@thatgingauknow Isn't Imaginationland great. Talking snakes, boat rides, zombie's walking around, people being smited left and right by invisible forces.
What other supernatural beliefs do you still cling too?
Desdenova262 6 days ago
Any worldview must answer five fundamental question, and that includes naturalism (the scientific explanation of everything. 1) what is the meaning of life? 2)How do we determine morality, or moral law? 3) How do we explain suffering? 4) What is man's fate following death? 5) From where did this universe originate? These questions in their resolution within us shall define who we are, and I insist with you that it is only the Christian Worlview that can satisfyingly answer all those questions
thatgingauknow 1 week ago
@thatgingauknow -To answer those questions 1) The meaning of life is what you give to it. Your own purpose.
2) We determine morality by looking at the well being of humans. What progresses us.
3) Why do we need to explain suffering?
4) Unknown. Not enough evidence to have a conclusion.
5) Unknown
TheEarthFirst 6 days ago
@VitoBandito, the questions you raise are legitimate and thank you for raising them. The one question I pose to you if you do believe science is dependable is if the resulting extrapolations of the collaborative efforts of men can be held to be absolute? If not, how can we trust any of it? The truth is that either side that you two intelligent people take, it is a faith stance and commitment you take.
thatgingauknow 1 week ago
@thatgingauknow - There is no faith in the scientific stance. Science tests and verifies. Religion simply makes claims it cannot substanciate.
TheEarthFirst 6 days ago
@TheEarthFirst, why are you retorting this way? Your comments and replies are hardly in the Spirit of Jesus' teachings and character. I believe with all my heart that Christian worldview is objective truth and that Jesus is the way to embrace the relationship God means for all humans to have with him. But to approach this relationship without the mind (and all other faculties- heart, soul and strength) is not to love God entirely.

VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 Do not shoe horn your god into quotes from famous scientists. Even if Einstein was jewish and believed in a god. God did not help him figure out the Theory of Relativity.
Also FYI do not spew nonsense on a video about keeping an open mind, since you obviously haven't done that or you would accept the videos point of view and leave it at that. Instead you decided to try to bend his words to make knowledge out to be the devil. Its pathetic
XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago
@XxSequndaEtapaXx You are worse than pathetic. You're lost. You accuse me of the same tactics of bending truth that you yourself are as guilty as sin of doing and from the very beginning. Satan tried to sell knowledge to Adam and Eve in the Garden and that resulted in all the misery in this world that you so conveniently blame God for It's the same old lie of the serpent used to dupe Adam and Eve. What's pathetic though, is that after all this time, Satan has no new tricks
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 Please if you are going to insult me calm down and form proper sentences. I am not lost, I know exactly where I am. Since you like that story so much let me pick it to pieces for you.
XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Don't let me get your nose bent outta shape. You're in your bedroom arguing with someone who will not allow your brainwashed assertions to go unchallenged. Let me see you attack the Quran and leave an address then I'll know you're not a coward like your father Satan is.
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 If god didnt want them to eat from the tree of knowledge than why did he put it there. If god made Adam from dirt than why was he able to make Eve out of just his rib. Since female bodies are more complex than males. Also why would Satan take the form of a snake? Wouldn't he take the form of some thing that could actually speak? Also why did Eve not question the fact that a snake could talk? Maybe they should of ate from the tree if they didnt realize that snakes could not speak.
XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago
@XxSequndaEtapaXx He put it there because God gave them free will and a strict command to obey Him. The tree symbolized what course the human race would take. As you can see from history it was not a good choice nor happy outcome. I'm sure Satan came in the form of something attractive and seductive, but after he ruined God's plan for mankind, God referenced him as the slithering snake that he is in a symbolic sense because that's how much respect He had left for your Satan.
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 And here is the big one, they had 2 children right? Cain and Able both men how did the human race survive with just 3 men and 1 women?
XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago
@XxSequndaEtapaXx Well take a good guess? Adam and Eve didn't become celibate because of the apple did they? My guess is it probably made them hornier than hell and they were spitting out babies like no tomorrow! HA HA HA! It's probably that God did not mention the other childeren what were born to Adam and Eve after they corrupted themselves with the sin of disobedience. God took no note of them, but only the ones that were made of His spirit. Too easy, buddy.
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 Interesting how you only answered one of them. But thats a cop out answer. If god abandoned them when they ate the fruit then how come he spoke to Cain and Able? Why wouldn't he speak to Adam and Eves other children. Ill tell you why: because it is nothing more than an ancient fairytale. Im sorry but anyone who takes that story literally is a fool. I have no problem with people who believe but do not take the bible literally. But when you do you just through all logic out the windo
XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago

XxSequndaEtapaXx 1 week ago
@XxSequndaEtapaXx What other question and who said God abandoned them? Not the Bible. He still had to protect them from Satan whose whole intent with this deception was to regain his place in Heaven that he lost by some hare brained idea of trying to proving to God that man was as much a sinner as he was and therefore did not deserve the dominion over the earth that he thought he was intitled to. He thought God woud see His error and reconsider, but God doesn't make errors
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 Not only did he disobey God in Heaven and try to overthrow him there, but in his arrogance he questioned the wisdom of God's creation. So, righfully, God punted him again and NOW, he's pissed. He's enraged that a being made of fire such as he cannot receive salvation over beings made of dust. So God still punished man for their trust in Satan in the Garden but simultaneously protect them so Satan didn't do then what he's been trying to do ever since in his fury....
VitoBandito1 1 week ago
@VitoBandito1 ...Kill them and failing that try to carry them away from the Salvation of God by somehow deceivng people into rejecting the Word of God. It's all he can do now. He tried to prevent the coming of the Christ by killing the firstborn of the Jews under two years. Fail. God did not abandon them and does not abandon anyone, except for all you new age bastards who ask endless questions and mistake that for wisdom and enlightement.

@XxSequndaEtapaXx Nice cop out. You got nothing on me, pal. As for close mindedness let me help you there. Our minds and our mouths are made to open and close on something solid.

They tried the same thing as Adam and Eve but their attempt was not blessed. Of the 6 children most died and the ones who didn't were mentally challenged.

@TheEarthFirst No He did not wave any magic wand. He WILLED it. The father of your wisdom and beliefs, the devil, waves magic wands around in order to deceive you. @VitoBandito1 - I reject anything that has no proof. If you want to believe fables that's OK with me, but I don' believe anything written 3000 years ago that has no evidence behind it. When you can give me some convincing evidence I would believe but stupid ancient stories won't do it.

So i advise you to pursue God for real.
shakinahstorm 1 week ago
@FightingAtheist this is sick. there is a God. someone had to create the world and its creatures it couldn't just appear out of nowhere. miracles are happening everyday and if you just took the time to think about how magnificent the world is you would realise that someone had to make something so amazing and unique! and that someone is God. THERE IS A GOD and you need to open your eyes and realise that before its too late.
immacstar13 1 week ago
@immacstar13 - Your argument has been refered to as the wonderment argument. Science has already showed how possible it is for everything to have come about naturally. Even if you could show there would have had to be a god for the universe to exist, it would not prove it was your god.

imax1971 2 weeks ago
@imax1971 Yes, it's all just athiest nonsense known as science that is based on real solid observations that can be replecated also consistantly. Not like the real thiest religions that are 100% true because EVERYONE knows that there is infact an invisible being in the sky that cannot be actually be proved correct by any method, yep... Just regular, run of the mill athiest nonsense here dude.

@imax1971 - Haha Repent. Thats 18th century nonsense.
TheEarthFirst 1 week ago
@TheEarthFirst The term is a few thousand years old. It is found in both the old and new testaments and is relevant today... I would guess that you don't even know the definition of repentance..
imax1971 1 week ago
@imax1971 - I learned that definition long ago. I was indoctrinated (brainwashed) very early in christian ways.
TheEarthFirst 1 week ago
@TheEarthFirst What exactly were you "brainwashed" to believe?.. What is wrong with Christian beliefs? Be specific.
imax1971 1 week ago
@imax1971 - I don't think there's really anything wrong with christian beliefs. Just unproven. I have no problem with anything someone sincerly believes and I wouldn't want to change their belief. It's just them saying I need to believe it too. Also when someone admits it's a belief but also says it's 100% true. None of the basic "facts" of christianity can be proven. Ressurection, empty tomb or there were 500 wittnesses that saw Jesus after dying. No proof or good evidence of any of that.
TheEarthFirst 1 week ago
@TheEarthFirst Not only has 2000 this have past since, the home land of Christianity was also burned to the ground in 70AD by the Romans, so should this be suprising that hard factual evidence would be existent?. However we can take cirtain things into consideration, like if the story in the gospels were just stories, who in their right mind would of had women be the first to discover the empty tomb of Jesus, when women were second class citizens?, this would be knowingly doubtful?...
shakinahstorm 1 week ago
@shakinahstorm - Well that is curious that women would have discovered the tomb but the fact they couldn't argee on how many women were there doesn't look good.
TheEarthFirst 1 week ago
@TheEarthFirst Interesting, so called biblical contridictions?.
They are simply not errors or contradictions at all. Each writer is picking and choosing which details to report, so that one writer chooses to describe only one angel out of two or leaves out an earthquake. That isn’t a contradiction; it’s the author’s prerogative to choose which details to report as long as an omission does not distort the story, in the same way with the women. Bless ya
shakinahstorm 1 week ago
@shakinahstorm - Leaving out critical information would be a bad way to write. It doesn't look like that's what happened anyway.Look at the different accounts of what the angels said at the tomb. No way to hammer those together. They conflict.

SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop "Also, he hasn't given up religion at all."
This shows your ignorance to the meaning of Atheist.
Atheist is the absence of Theist; by itself, it is not even a belief, much less a belief system. And as such it cannot be consider a religion, or even an ideology.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 You defend your militant atheism with the same zealousness as those who defend their gods and religions. Care to offer an explanation for that hypocrisy? FYI, I don;t believe in gods or religion; I also don;t believe in being a loud zealous american in denial.

@TheEarthFirst I didn't delete my comments, YouTube screwed up and I couldn't be bothered re-typing my messages. FYI, rationalisation is spelt with an S not a Z. Look it up. SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@TheEarthFirst - It seems either way to spell that will do. I think it's a shame we are talking about how to spell. You are just a petty troll.
TheEarthFirst 2 weeks ago
@TheEarthFirst Took you long enough to figure that out. A wiser man than you would have notice it right away! Also, to Desdenova262, there are many sources that allude to the impression of this militant, dogmatic branch of atheism as being a religion. How can you be so sure that you are right, and they are wrong? Are you American extremists truly so infallible that everything outside of what you believe to be correct is untrue? Sounds like a religion to me.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop Like i said, you have no clue what the words religion and atheist mean.
The only people who try to call atheism a religion, are some christian, and Muslims.

Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 Of course! And whilst you're doing that, I'll look up the similarities between militant atheism and religion! Let's see who wins!
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 Similarity number one: Narrative. Religion has it's religious texts; Atheism also has it's texts (Dawkins,Darwin etc). Similarity number 2: Social. Religion has vicars, bishops, popes; Atheism has theorists, scientists, writers, Richard Dawkins. Similarity number 3:Doctrines. religion has several doctrines e.g the holy trinity; atheism has it's doctrines e.g. secular humanism. Want me to continue? I have plenty more examples!
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 You misunderstand me when I say that atheism is a religion. I'm not saying it should be one; quite the contrary. I am merely saying that dogmatic zealots such as yourself shouldn't turn it into one, because that defies the point of atheism.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop When you consider yourself a Atheist, maybe then you will grasp a better understanding of the meaning.
Atheism is the absence in belief in gods. There's nothing to practice fool. I don't own any sacred books of such, or worship any men, or nothingness.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 Scientology doesn't believe in a God. they believe we are all the children of aliens, or something like that, but they don't believe in a God. What would you class Scientology as then?
I personally define religion as a group with a set of shared beliefs of values, who try to convert others to their way of thinking. The religious try to convert the irreligious. The irreligious try to convert the religious. How is it different? Explain it to me.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop
Are you a Scientologist? If so, that's your bad. No proof of souls either.
I don't need to classify them, being taxed exempted in my country is proof.
"I personally define religion" this seems to be your malfunction in exercising critical thinking.
Your not in charge to define words.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 And you're not in charge to define beliefs. My personal opinions are just as valid as yours or anyone else's.

@SuperQweertyuiop
Never said i have control of what any one thinks fool. Nor should i.
Just as you do get the right to define words you do not even take the times to research.
Like i said, you do not understand the meaning of the word Atheist.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 Every time I try to raise the issue, I am simply told that it means the lack of belief in a God or gods. By that definition, I am an atheist. Would you disagree? If so, then explain to me in your own words the definition of an atheist. And try not to sound too preachy, it may come across as a bit hypocritical and oxymoronic.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop If your a true Atheist, you would not consider it a religion.
And you would not have dis-respected this person who took the time to make this video.
I use to be a christian...i know what its like to de-convert.
Talk about hypocritical.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 Ah! Well there it is! You just reaffirmed my belief that most American atheists are former religious converts, which goes somewhat to explain why you defend it so dogmatically. I myself, being born and raised in a multicultural society, but with no religious beliefs, have been raised to be atheist yet tolerant of other peoples beliefs. At least now I understand why you people can't do the same - you can't think for yourself. You need Jesus or Richard Dawkins to do it for you.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop Your a fool, and a religious troll no doubt, pretending to be educated.
I could care less what superstitions people believe or worship.
As long as they stay out of my government, and out of education system they can do whatever batshit crazy stuff they like as long as it harms no others.
Dawkins is just a smart man, i did not even know of him when made my own conclusions about the gods being made by man.
You seem delusional.
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 If being born and raised as an atheist in a predominantly atheist country make me a religious troll, then yes, I am a religious troll. Your logic seems somehow flawed.

@SuperQweertyuiop What Atheist Country might this be?
Desdenova262 2 weeks ago
@Desdenova262 England. Religion has no bearing on politics over here. Although there are plenty of people here who practice religion here (many of which from the Asian communities) the majority of people here do not believe in any kind of God or divine being. Even those who DO practice the religion are usually immigrants practising it to preserve their own culture, and not because they believe in some kind of god. We have a lot of freedom in this country.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop The Queen, despite being 'Head of the Church of England' is just a figurehead - That title is merely a trophy title. She has no real power over politics - The Royal Family is just another tradition, a tourist attraction. Nothing else.
SuperQweertyuiop 2 weeks ago
@SuperQweertyuiop
And the Church of England is just my imagination.
Unlike my country, our government supports no religion.....England does.
My country is closer to being secular. If that's how one would define a "atheist" country.

@SuperQweertyuiop - Further proof you are a christian or muslim troll. No atheist would refer to atheism as a religion.
I'll stick with science.
