Alexandra, I disagree with the "you've got too much classical in you" ... I've been teaching piano (everything jazz, blues, rock, pop, broadway, film etc) for over 20 years ... your swing is effective ... Jazz is NOT "all about improvisation" ... it's a feeling, a smoothness, and of course the tonal language and swing ... and you've got it :-) ... David Zwisohn

You got too much classical in you. You need to throw out the classical stuff and listen, listen listen! Jazz is all about listening and improvising.
