I revealed this information before to stress the fact that I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Just read an average book on addiction and it will tell you the withdrawal symptoms. I read some of that book you were talking about and it sounds like it was written by some religious person with an agenda. If a real doctor does his job, he doesn't have an agenda.

He mentioned setting up cameras in a waiting room for someone who was going through withdrawals before they met the doctor and they seemed fine but when they went into the office they started putting on an act like they're sick. In my opinion they could have been very sick before they met the doctor but started acting more sick because they were terrified of not being helped.This author seemed naive.

@pixelated111 Most people who become heroin addicts will go back to the drug several times and have to go to rehab several times before finally kicking it for good. That is if they don't die or go to prison for a long time first. Sometimes prison gets people clean for good actually...it's a rough road to go but it works sometimes. Hopefully people go to rehab before that. The nature of addiction is people will usually relapse several times before finally kicking. It's unfortunate but true.
This is an addict you can actually respect because he has a brain in his head... he's just not using it very well. Hope he gets help he could actually make something of himself if he got detoxed
Find something you really REALLY enjoy, to keep your mind occupied. I was addicted to Oxycodone for a few years, but i kept myself busy doing productive things; working on cars, helping family, etc. Even if it is volunteer work, you will feel better knowing you helped a total stranger. It is never too late to change! :)

I revealed this information before to stress the fact that I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Just read an average book on addiction and it will tell you the withdrawal symptoms. I read some of that book you were talking about and it sounds like it was written by some religious person with an agenda. If a real doctor does his job, he doesn't have an agenda.

He mentioned setting up cameras in a waiting room for someone who was going through withdrawals before they met the doctor and they seemed fine but when they went into the office they started putting on an act like they're sick. In my opinion they could have been very sick before they met the doctor but started acting more sick because they were terrified of not being helped.This author seemed naive.

But you have goosebumps? your legs kick because someone has a vice on them and squeezes tighter and tighter(especially at night while trying to sleep which is impossible except for 10 minutes every 5 hours or so) You shit liquid while you cramp and when you run out of liquid you cramp harder. You sweat in a warm room and it makes you beyond cold and clammy and to top it off you have 20 dollars left to fix it all...try not using...

@pixelated111 Most people who become heroin addicts will go back to the drug several times and have to go to rehab several times before finally kicking it for good. That is if they don't die or go to prison for a long time first. Sometimes prison gets people clean for good actually...it's a rough road to go but it works sometimes. Hopefully people go to rehab before that. The nature of addiction is people will usually relapse several times before finally kicking. It's unfortunate but true.

Find something you really REALLY enjoy, to keep your mind occupied. I was addicted to Oxycodone for a few years, but i kept myself busy doing productive things; working on cars, helping family, etc. Even if it is volunteer work, you will feel better knowing you helped a total stranger. It is never too late to change! :)
