  • como me gusta este tema!! :D

  • both artists are great (blur and oasis) both create a different feeling, blurs music is undeniably deeper and probably more intelligent, but oasis is simple genius and genuine rock n'roll. it just depends what feeling you like more

  • INMINENT RAPING

  • dude I was listening to the blur playlist and I thought this was the studio recording at first, not a live performance

  • This is a wonderful performance of a wonderful song.

  • It's sad that people can't just enjoy music and have to argue about who's better-if you don't have anything better to do, SHUT UP!

  • Why are people STILL arguing about Blur vs Oasis? They are over it, and you should be too.

  • Look how beautiful of a man Damon Albarn is. He looks so innocent yet his voice is so deep and uncharacteristic to what you'd think he would sound like. I am going to meet that man one day. Oasis and Blur are no comparison. They're in the word of Herman Cain "apples and oranges". You can't compare Beethoven to The Beatles can you?

  • OASIS RULZ.U CUNTS WILL NEVER GET IT AND I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY BUT OASIS IS BETTER THAN BLUR.OASIS LIVEFOREVER

  • @britpopisthebest 4 letters S.T.F.U!

  • @lego991

    Cunt!

  • @britpopisthebest omg u suck. fuck man, blur is so much better. you dont even know.

  • @britpopisthebest Live Forever man

  • @britpopisthebest

Liveforever dude!!U r the best.Blur was never better than Oasis.Oasis>Blur

  • you can just see how much damon wants to jump around but can't cause of how slow the song is.

  • his voice is so powerfull and he is soooooo handsome

  • I'm so in love of Damon Albarn!!! he turns everything he touches into gold!!!

  • his voice is so powerful

  • The horn section at the end of the song has a Burt Bacharach touch to it. What a beautiful song...

  • Best song ever, and damon has awesome voice and personality, go fuck Liam Gallheger

  • Ahhh Blur. The 90s were so good to us....

  • Fuck you, BT.

  • I love Blur, but in this version Damon was a little out of tune. Id prefer the studio version.

  • Must have been 2D's old band.

  • Curiously, I like both Oasis (first 3-4 albums) and Blur. Neither is better to me than the other. Both made some great somgs.

  • CUriously, I like both Oasis (first 3-4 albums) and Blur. Neither is better to me than the other. Both made some great somgs.

  • this is a fucking masterpiece

  • la mejor banda de la historia

    el resto son todos muertos

  • best band, best song, best music video, revolutionary. Although i have a love and hate relationship for coxon for leaving, still guy's a great guitar player

  • 7 people are not universal

Yeah I know, that was lame.

  • @YoungFlannel Very Lame dude, but don't worry all the ''x' people don't like/ don't know, etc' comments are actually lame.

  • who are those 7people dislike this vid???

  • i actually like this better than the album version o:

  • Brill.

  • My favourite band of all time. My favourite song of all time.

  • i used to be a massive oasis fan but then i grew up. there is only so much 'lad rock' you can take before you get bored out of your head !. ....now im more into Blur and Radiohead :)

  • @X4mat yeah... until about '98 er so

  • @X4mat I LIKE THAT BANDS TOO :D

  • @X4mat

    Hey fuck U cunt,

ur never gonna realize the power of Oasis.Just bcoz these bands play complex music doesnt make them better than Oasis,Oasis liveforever

  • @woohoopopsucks who mentioned complexity? i like radiohead because they try to move foward. Oasis made 2 undeniably good albums but even Noel admits hes made some bad songs. maybe you should open your mind.

  • @X4mat

Move forward??out of ur fucking mind??Its boring shit.I like radiohead and I have all their albums but seriously stop saying that Radiohead and BLur are better than Oasis.Have u heard noels solo album??Oasis's Dig out ur soul??Dude moving forward has nothing to do with music being better.Oasis not changing their style doesnt mean that Radiohead is better.

  • @woohoopopsucks Noels album is brilliant. Dig out your soul not so great. I like all three bands. its an opinion so take it or leave it.

  • damon looks so difrent after 4 yearsm aybe hes stressing xD

  • play back :D 0:16

  • This song alone pisses all over Oasis' catalogue.

  • OH GOD! The whole song is gorgeous but that bit that starts at 3:09 is undescribable!

  • Gratuitious sexy violins :)

  • this band made my bad life good

  • im surprised how many comments about oasis there are on blur videos. shows how much influence the media has on music and music fans. cumonnn cant we all just get along. oasis make great music, blur make great music and they both make good use of violins.

  • @shitstainedb4lls Sorry but I love Blur and think Oasis genuinely suck, I hate all of their songs and think they are talentless and dull

  • @MikaShelley99 well theres hundreds of millions of people in the world who completely disagree with you but i guess your oppinion is more important than theirs. makes sence

  • @shitstainedb4lls I have no fkn clue what you are talking about but I rarely rate the opinion of people who can't spell 'sense' properly so we'll just ignore you and move on

  • @shitstainedb4lls There are many more people in the world who know of them and choose to listen to them. There are many hundreds of millions who like Cliff Richard, Take that, The Spice Girls, Aqua. I guess, by your reasoning, I must be wrong about these bands being talentless tripe too then. Oasis are just sh!t. Sorry. Just a tired boring wailing dirge, meaningless boring songs one after the other. Sorry to burst your bubble

  • @shitstainedb4lls i totally agree with,i love oasis and i love blur, doesn't seem to be many people who think the same as me,i personally think oasis have better songs ,i do really like some of blur's songs though and like some people i think liam is a total tool

  • somewhere in my mind this seems like the last place someone wrote an interesting song. ive had weird dreams. that i dont like.

  • totally awesome

  • I wonder if people feel intelligent continuing an argue from the past

like the oasis - blur issue.

    : P

  • Oasis was good, but blur was perfect. Their first 5 albums confirm that over and over ;)

  • Oasis 0 - Blur 1

    Forever

  • q1ue buen tema este de blur me encanta

  • excelente versión un temazo de blur no soy muy hincha de ellos pero este tema es un manjar coño.

  • Good old Damon! His a pure music genious!

  • search "tripod oasis medley" on youtube. it's funny

  • Comment removed

  • fucking perfect! i want this song in my BURIAL!!!

  • @yukies21

It Does say something about "your lucky day" haha

  • Fucking amazing...I'm an American but I have to say I'm really a Brit at Heart! I drive a Land rover, play bass on ashdown amps and Brit Rock is my favorite! Thanks UK! :)

  • the grate song!!!!

  • Great song. My fav by Blur. Fila tshirt I can't believe any respectable frontman would wear like this lol. But this was 1999

  • @madcowhunter

Except this was 1995. And Damon was still going through a 'football casual' phase. It was fashionable to wear Fila and the like at that time, and he did it more stylishly than most.

  • i think if that blur is better than oasis because oasis is just wonderwall, wonderwall is a sht song tbh people just like it because its was friggen uk mainstream

  • I get shivers watching this video. @_@

  • All Oasis got is Wonderwall, typical first album hit and thats it. You CAN say their other singles are good too, but don't they all sound the same to you? It's boring...

Oasis were great throughout their careers, exploring new types of music and always doing something new. Blur > Oasis.

    End of discussion.

  • @HLGGanoth i prefer blue to oasis but its the second album hit xD and btw i hate wonderwall-.- most americans only know oasis for wonderwall, Oasis in england is the real sht in america is wonderwallsht

  • @hedgehoge90

I'm American and have listened to MANY of their songs. They just seem kinda "Typical" to me is all. Liam sings a verse and the last note he sings drags on for like 5 seconds, leading into the chorus which mostly involves very little guitar changes from the verse, (This is repeated twice) then it's followed by a 30-60 second solo, then repeats the verse 4 times (Which seems like FOREVER! Take "Stand By Me" as a reference) and the song ends.

It's good music, but it gets old fast.

  • @HLGGanoth i know i use to love stand by me it was my favorite song.. for a week lol. Btw what means bohemian?

  • @hedgehoge90

    P.S:

I realized that album number mistake as soon as I posted it that first comment, but what can you do about it? =/

  • BLUR BLUR BLUR!!!!

  • shut up damon!

no i'm kidding love the song

  • And sorry, Noel, you are a great songwriter, but Graham Coxon is a better guitarist than you.

  • I like Oasis and Blur, but Blur was much more versatile. They tried so many different styles and sounded always authentic and competent. Oasis had great songs too, but they attached too much importance to guitars, in my opinion. Many songs sounded alike. Blurs arrangements were more polished and varied.

  • @kingofpecos defo!

  • Damon esta más viejito u.u pero deberia afeitarse y dejarse su pelo asi de ochentero y se veria genial jaja xD pero igual sigue siendo el mismo de siempre ;D

  • i like damon and blur band style,,,!!!!

  • ......and some idiots try to compare shite Oasis with this genius?

  • simplemente hermoso

  • This song is beautiful. Always brings back good memories

  • this is still really special after all these years,

  • Graham Coxon is the $hit

  • @NippleroniPizza u r but graham isnt

  • I like that Damon doesn't attempt to dance or something like that during the instrumental part, but just walk around like he's bored.

  • You could really tell damon wanted more then just a 4 piece rock band with this song, its almost the sign of things to come - theres no way blur could have continued with damon ambitions violins, trumpets, choirs are damons comfort field and we all love him for being so experimental

  • @SilentGig1

Have you listened to 13? That wasn't Damon on his own, you know...

  • one of the main reasons for Gorillaz maybe.

  • oasis can go suck it LONG LOVE BLUR!

  • @crackdown235 what are you on? they were both great bands. Were you even around in 94?

  • @crackdown235

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has called his former rival Damon Albarn a "great artist".

  • @SweetMatheson Noel is great ... I don't like all Oasis stuff, I like mainly the early stuff ... I saw him doing an accoustic set and it was amazing ... it doesn't stop me from loving Blur ... nor think that Liam Gallagher is a complete tool

  • @crackdown235 fuck you fuck you fuck you oasis is difrent and better

  • @aerofores hey douchebag. if oasis is so much better.

WHY THE FUCK YOU WATCHING BLUR VIDEOS? eh? riddle me that

  • @crackdown235 For variation you moron

  • @cremekongen1705 i don't go on oasis videos n diss em.

  • @crackdown235 Neither of us dissed Blur, however aerofores just stated that Oasis is different and better. IT'S SUBJECTIVE FOR FUCK SAKE

    Jesus christ

  • @crackdown235

    Hm...

    No, I love them both.

  • omg what a performance! wow

  • the best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best BAND OF THE HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How fucking great would it have been if the 'Battle of Britpop' had been The Universal VS Whatever or Wonderwall instead of the 2 shit songs both bands picked.

LOVE this version of arguably the best song Blur ever did.

  • damon sounds so good.

  • @marrymekate

    And looks so good too!

  • the guy on the chello is kicking ass on this

  • I think SO :D !!!

  • Ignitionnet, your right it is just your opinion but I don't agree.I am not a huge fan of Blur, only because I don't listen to them much, however, this is a brilliant version of a fantastic song.

  • your right, its a good thing that there playing on Jools Hooland then cause they sound awesome here.....

  • pretty damn good version of this great song...kicks ass!!!...

  • i can't remember in which movie was the beginning of the song. It's driving me crazy, if anybody knows please tell me.

  • Comment removed

  • quality shit!!! always cane this in The Bear

  • this song is so good. I Really love it, the best blur song ever

  • Love the tune but this version is a bit gutless. Feels like it lacks drive from weak bass and guitar. Purely my opinion!

  • bass is pretty damn driving

    listen through a better system

  • @dannybighair

James is an incredibly underrated bass player.

  • what he's playing on the album 'modern life is rubbish' is really hard to do. i thought he was just another bass player, until i bought that album a few weeks ago.

  • one of my favorite from blur. eat yourheart out oasis!

  • Es mejor oasis, aunque esta canción es muy buena!!!...

  • epic.

  • Excellent song by one the best bands ever :-)

  • men from england age very well

  • great song, but the drums in this version suck.

  • This song is sexy. Damon's vocals are great, and that instrumental is amazing :O. I can't stop listening to it. Blur <3

  • and damon shows good ballroom skills at 3:40

  • such a profetic song. the universal = the web nowadays.

  • Was thinking the same thing.

  • Fan - F***ING - Tastic

  • Amazing song! So glad they're back

  • Brilliant, incredible song...

The best Blur song together with Country House... Amazing... Oasis are a fantastic band, but this song is incomparable... Not even Live Forever is a great as this one... Blur FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Of all the songs Oasis have in their ars-anal they don't have a single song that comes close to this.

  • I'm also a declared Oasis fan, but I think is childish to dismiss Blur's great musical catalog. i find pathetic that people still argue about which of the two was the most emblematic of that period. Both are fantastic bands, both are legendary, both made a huge impact in British music.

  • Parktown? Girls like boys? It's Parklife and Girls & Boys for starters, two huge singles from their Parklife album which defined the same era Oasis made their name. Also, if you knew anything about the band and how they progressed from their debut 'Leisure' album to their latter two "13" and "Think Tank" you'd know they were not a pop band as you like to put it. Their sound evolved album by album as they started to experiment.. they showed their talent by continually making excellent (cont.)

  • albums despite changing their sound. The same can't be said about Oasis who have barely changed a thing and have made samey samey records throughout their career.

  • Mate, youre a genius. So right its untrue

  • I've heard their later albums, and I still stand by my statement.

  • this is such a top song - though is it me or do the orchestra seem out of time with the music at the beinging? lol

  • it reminds me of something david bryne would write lyrics-wise

  • he is beautiful, saw them at glastonbury i love Blur one of the best bands ever!

  • this song is an anthem

  • Saw these guys at Glastonbury - they were absolutely awesome!! This was there encore song and was perfect to end the night with.

  • genius

  • absolutely fucking brilliant

  • oh my cheese....blur is very very good live. i guess they didnt have to do much sound and adjustments to the track. very good singer and band

  • looks like hes making fun of gallagher from the way he is standing.

  • I miss 1999

  • wow, fukkin wow.

so many groups tell us who they are, and eloquently. Blur tell ue who they are and who we are. best ever, better than the beatles

  • Gorgeous song, captures decline. The wee confused kid, how did he learn guitar that good, must've been practising from he was 6 months. Damon is like a boy Edie Sedgewick, can't keep your eyes off him.

  • Love this performance! Damon's voice is so rich. Funny how he's taking the piss at Liam Gallagher's mic stance here...

  • how is he doing that?

  • hmmm what you mean??

  • slagathor14 says damon is taking the piss at liam gallaghers mic stance here, but I don see how?

  • hmmmm

well i think he means 1:50 to 1:54

    but i'm not very sure......

  • Rewatched it, and yeah, he probably isn't. It just looked like his mic stand was higher than usual, so he was leaning up toward it. When I watched this before, it was right after watching the video for "On Your Own," which had the whole "D'You Know What I Mean" parody at the beginning, so I probably had Oasis mocking on the brain. Brilliant performance, regardless.

  • On Your Own does not have an Oasis parody anywhere. Damon and Blur could have cared less about Oasis. Specially in 2003. It's been 14 years since that whole bullshit media fueled feud. Give it a rest.

  • At like 0:44 to 0:50 He look's like Liam Gallagher looks when he stands at the mic

  • yeeeeeeeees

  • If he is 'taking the piss at Liam Gallagher's mic stance', which i really doubt he is - then start referring to it as Damon Albarn's mic stance.. and deservedly so, as Oasis would never be able to write anything near as musically brilliant as 'The Universal.'

  • totally agreed with you, Blur is the best

  • cant beleive its been 13/14 years since this song was released

  • It's a trip. i like to listen to the music I did when i was a small child. Blur's good. Remember Gorillaz-Not a coincidense. don't inform me anyone. i've been a long time fan of both blur and gorillaz. : )
