I have never seen this sketch before and I'm a little confused. Did you point a camera on a tv playing this or is this how it originally looked? The sound quality is very decent and that's why I'm wondering if the flickering was an artistic choice from the KITH.

I've seen this sketch several times and that's what it looks like. It was first shot on video, then kinescoped on film. It's as if "you (the audience)" are watching TV to emphasize that it's a press conference. It's a stylistic choice.
