gtx460 is THE BEST CARD YOU CAN GET until ati comes out with there 6000 series

but it is still a very nice card and you can sli them and they run better than a 480

also runs at super low temperatures despite being a fermi also you will likely get better performance with a good motherboard and an AMD processor

@Fowtowsjop It locks the frap rates to you're monitor Mhz. If you have a 60Mhz monitor, you will never see more than 60FPS. Some monitors that support 3D from NVIDIA are 120Mhz, so with V-Sync on you lock FPS to 120Mhz and so on.

I did a search for gtx-460 cards on a major vendor's site, and wouldn't you know, ALL of the competition's cards also came with mini HDMI. The same vendor doesn't even sell an mini-to-regular HDMI adaptor, so what gives?

I do a fair amount of video conversions so I would definitely look into a gt series card for their CUDA support if nothing else. You could have mentioned that in your review.

Weird, my 5850 scores just over 1600 in vantage clocked at 775/1125. This is with a i7 at 3.3Ghz so...what's up with that. GTX 460 1GB is a sweet card btw. Nice review.

It's interesting how other developers haven't learned from Crysis. They made a game with such high specs that it rewards you when you upgrade your system years later by playing it again maxed out. Why aren't they making things like AVP with an ultra high polygon count mode for future graphics cards. It gives lasting appeal. At the moment my card rules any game out now, but still struggles with crysis maxed out.

@StupidityKings mini HDMI just fits on the card easier, it actually comes with a mini HDMI to normal HDMI adapter in the box (usually, depends on what brand you get I guess)
