I was more than pleasantly surprised, I was/am utterly enchanted by this wonderful recording by the European Union Baroque Orchestra. Perhaps it is Roy Goodman's direction? Perhaps it is the fact that this band consists of young and enthusiastic musicians?

Mireille is the greatest. Her perfomance and her voice is unbelievable. She is a french "national treasure". I keep her in my heart.

Rameau's idea to make maddness a character is really great; but to also have her direct the orchestra is just ingenious. Marc Minkowski's recording of this work is superb. All you have to do is imagine the surreal excesses of baroque costumes it was originally performed in. A daring work even for today's standards.

Ich kannte die Delunsch vorher nicht und habe die Oper Plattee im TV gesehen und war begeistert! Die Delunsch ist nicht nur eine Schönheit, sondern hat auch eine unglaubliche Stimme! Ausserdem spürt man dass sie Spass an der Rolle hat. Sie ist eine tolle Komödiantin und Schauspielerin und verzaubert einen unglaublich!! Schade, dass sie selten in Deutschland auftritt.
