German engineers and workers had high pressure from the military! they had no choice but to obey their orders!they had to work for longer hours and military provided them food and shelter!they almost lived a life like in concentration camp!
@CouldntFindANam3 the americans also had propaganda. once i saw some american propaganda of solders running up and easyly killing a MG42 gunner, saying "its bark is worse than its bite" the exact oposite is true.
Nazis add such awesome and beautiful uniforms. Too bad they had to be utter assholes, so now I can't use their uniform when I want to draw stuff. Oh and yeah, they forever put a bad stigma on swastikas, wich actually used to be symbols of good stuff like renewal of life in most Asian cultures...
What a great concept. Sadly, though, the idea was decades ahead of the technology and it was ultimately a failure. Of course, from an allied perspective, I am glad it was a failure! :-D
"Hey Fritz, look what i got!" "What'd you get?" *dudes unwraps box containing GOLIATH* "It's a Goliath!" "A toy tank! We're in the middle of a war zone! And you bring a toy tank with you! You could've used that room to carry ammunition!" "Ah, but i did!" *dude pulls out controller thingy* "TANK!!!!" "Oh shit, hey! What the fuck are you doing!" *dude is sending Goliath towards Sherman* "They'll never know!" -over at the Sherman- "Aye, what the fuck is that?" "It's a to-" *Boom* "AWESOME!!"
lol to bad when the russians did that the dogs ran under their tanks more than the germans cause the russians trained the dogs with their fuel so the dogs looked for that smell =|
Impressive, considering they had to have space for the controls and explosives in that thing. Really, it is a bit of a miracle they lost the war- they really did have some of the best technology in the war. They were fanatical and ill-guided, yes, though they were brilliant technology-wise.
They built tanks that could withstand several years of deployment but get shot down within months. This wasted precious manufacturing time while the americans were pumping out cheap tank after cheap tank.
Not a miracle to many of the heirarchy was stabbing eachother in the back.. if they would have set aside their petty differences the war would have been won and we'd all be speaking german..
i know if i were in that tank id be stupified as to what this slow moving thing crawling toward my tank was. o_0 "what is that thing??....." ......"I dont know shoot it" BAM!! "ok whatever that was its gone now" =D
given the tremendous amount of technology and advanced weaponry at the time, germany would have won the war, had those new weapons such as nightvision scopes, MP44s, goliaths, tiger tanks, etc... hadn't cost so much not to mention Hitler's idiotic waste of troops against russia.
Maybe its just me, but the video quality on that clip was outstanding!! I don't think i've seen an WWII vintage video that didn't look battle damaged.
actually the germans copied the goliath off of something similar tht the french were using, i cant remember if it was remote controlled or not but i do remember seeing that they got the idea of making goliaths from something french
exactly they had it... but hitler wanted wonder weapons like the v2 or v3.... but if he used the me262 as a jet fighter, instead of a fighter bomber... the war may have been longer... and the nazis may have had more time for better weapons...
They also had assult rifles, LMGs, guided missles, multi colored camouflage, spaced armor (immunity to shaped charges), protective coating (immunity to magnetic mines), light weight effective anti tank weapon (that is capable of destrying any allied tank and light enough to be given to every single soldier, therefore their infantry can become one man attack forces especially with their assult rifles)
@caiocollalto Well actually they had atomic weapons... Just to late and nothing anymore to fire them. The Americans were only capable of making an atomic bomb with the help of german scientists brought to the usa after the war in europe
Nice, I didn't know this video also had a version with sound. I posted the soundless version over a year ogo, but this one is much better with authentic voiceover!
it's the "army news". these footage were only shown to soldiers for entertainment and especially morale-boosters. also, this would make german soldiers familiar with it. so if they see it, they won't wonder what it is or god forbid it, start shooting at it. a lot of the Wehrmacht's power was actually in propaganda ;)

point! :))
and I guess this device cost twice as much construction time as new T-34/85 :)))
But can be useful against bunkers, heavily defended buildings or maybe to blow small bridges, dams etc.
