I think speaking to a bilingual person in their native tongue is a bit of an olive branch. Similar to tourists bringing bilingual dictionaries when they visit other countries. I never understood staring/eye contact...it seems like a no-win situation; you'll either snub or anger them. Personally, I'd think you would be attractive and alluring with your charm, wit and accent, even without you current comeliness. As for guys, remember even non-shy guys are intimidated by sexy women
