  • You really made the video fit well, especially the part when

the Arpeggio kicks in with the Red Warning Light in the plane,

while Rambo is sitting there, anticipating the combat thats about to follow.

I also like how you included the images of the real effects of the Vietnam War,

so that we remember the tragedy and not just the entertainment from these War films and games.

  • @waveformlove Thank you :) Always nice to hear that someone made it to the end of the video ;)

  • @prowokator

    LOL :)

Have you heard "First Patrol - Theme From Rambo II" yet prowokator?

I only discovered it recently, but it's a remix of the Rambo theme made in the 80s,

and it's the track Martin Galway covered! Never knew it existed until now.

  • @adriansmithmusic Thanks for the tip man! Hadn't heard it either!

  • I've uploaded the other tunes from Rambo first blood pt2 too - check those out people! :)

  • This is full of win.

  • Cheers all, 50000 views!

  • I miss my c64 years!

  • Hahaha, I remember if you even got 30 seconds into this song, you were doing good. This game was impossible. :)

  • @fearguis Use the knife Luke, use the knife.

  • @siipikarja lol :D

  • Wow... this totally takes me back in time! I used to play this game like crazy when I was a kid.

  • @discolando Same.. Man the good ol commadore 64 days..

  • Thanks for uploading this. Good memories. :)

  • @Skinski7 You're welcome, good times indeed :)

  • its like the good the bad n the ugly

  • Epic music, and a great video.. Thx alot for bringing back alot of good memories.

  • Martin Galway is a genius!

  • Rob Hubbard & Martin Galway ruled the 80's C64 music scene!!!!

  • And Jeroen Tel :)

  • @tuhind

    Amen.

  • @tuhind pls pls dondt forget mike gray (last ninja 2)

  • Why doesn't anyone have the music at the end if you die? It's a nice tune as well but no one seems to include it.

  • I see what I can do.

  • Thanks, you da man. If you can't do it I'll get off my lazy ass and dig up the C64 emulator I have on this computer somewhere (or just download another), and make a vid for it myself. Maybe I'll make a video of me playing it on the piano. I always liked that melody. lol.

  • Ok I uploaded something. Not sure if it is the tune you ment 'cos I really can't remember which one it was. But I'm pretty sure I got the right one, atleast I think I've now uploaded all the longer tunes from that game. There are a couple 3-10 second long tunes too, but I didn't bother uploading those. Let me know if it is the right one :)

  • MG took the C64 and doubled, tripled the entertainment value with the music of games he was involved in, still loved & enjoyed to this day, hats off to the "Hub" (Hubbard) of course... wonderful! - check the loader of paralaxx (name?) towards the end of that tune is utter genius.

  • Parallax by Martin Galway. It is amazing piece of art.

  • Bloody hard game, but the music keeps you coming back. Just like monty on the run

  • My vid looks so tiny with HD on.. Matchbox warrior!

Thanks for all the comments and ratings!

  • I think what you added at the end of the video was very important to in order to bring us back to reality. I love the tune though because it does bring back those great C64 memories of that game :)

  • Love it. 5*

  • which song is it that they have when the russians arrive? in the movie.

  • I really love that music.... my childhood comes back

  • brilliant. i love this. thanks for posting.

  • this is the shit

  • Just love it how the tune begins at 3.50!

    Great game and great song!

  • ...great for a c64....

  • Bad ass music... I can remember being 8 years old and playing this in 1988...

  • Composer was actually Jerry Goldsmith.

This is Martin Galway's brilliant adaption of the film score.

@prowokator: a wise decision, putting the real Vietnam war pictures at the end!

  • Thanks. Never thought that someone would actually watch the whole clip ;)

  • :O God damn epic music.. GIEF!! I want an mp3 or something of that music :D

  • Load"first blood part2",8

    Run

    ;o)

  • Epic music. I need it!

  • I waz in da spectrum gang right!!!

Alz you comador clit lickers can eat me.

i really liked this on the speccy although "green beret" always had my heart.

    poor hounds. . .

  • over 20 000 views! Cheers!

  • i wonder if they will release a new rambo game with rambo 5

anybody know if i can get the old rambo games for my windows vista?

  • You can get them for an emulator - but that is kinda illegal.. unless (I think) you own the original game.

  • commodor 64?

  • Commodore 64. Press "more info" in the top right corner for more info.

  • HahA amusing^-^

  • It really makes me happy to hear this music after so many years (im was a proud owner of c64 and rambo2firstblood game) :) Some major parts just were not there like the parts where the chopper abandons rambo and "im coming to get you, murdock!" but still, this is a great video and all the glory and thanks to Martin Galway for music and whoever did this for the video! Truly yours: Duumer!

  • I know there arent all the parts, as I all played the "main" theme of the game for this vid. But maybe I will add them too someday..

  • You forgot the tapeloader!

  • Actually, I've uploaded it already :D It's on the "Pictures from Prypjat and Chernobyl" video.

  • Good work prowokator. I played this game in my childhood, and the music is a timeless masterpiece!

  • Thanks! :) Brings back memories that music...

  • I didn't know anyone else out there could appreciate this shiat like I do. Hell yea. I had the commodore 64 game, the Rambo movies and everything. In first grade. LOL. This brings back childhood.

  • mad respect to the guy who made this and put it up

  • mad cheers to you for appreciating this! :) I must say it took some time to make this. I wonder if anyone has actually watched this whole thing to the end..?

  • yes.. Galway, Hubbard, Danglish, they're all masters of sound. but if you think the C64 SID version of the Rambo song is cool, go check out Jogeir Liljedahl's remix. best of luck in finding it. =)

and OTOH, I don't know if the Rambo series were so much anti-war. sure, when Rambo speaks, we speaks against the war.. but boy does he butcher the lot. you can't deny that.

  • Yep, he sure does. :)

  • You can get that mod file ( ate least i think its the one you mean) from Jogeir Liljedahl's homepage.

Its called "Martin Galway" is god and is sort of a medley between rambo and green beret.

If it not the same one youre on about would be nice to have a confirmation! ;)

  • I got the song from a different site, but yes, that's the one.

I never bothered to search for Liljedahl's homepage. but the internet is full of good computer music. I guess you only need time and dedication to find it.

  • He has a great page on the sid chip and on Legendary composers he liked.

And the best thing his page is full of all his mods which is cool of him!

  • Has a double dragon 2 tone. Imagine rambo in double dragon 2 pixels? Shit would rock.

  • I only just realised how similar that tune sounds to the one in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

  • No shit, goo call dude. lmao .

  • Now that you mention it...I can hear it too.:)

  • respect im on the commy version right now

  • Absolutely brilliant stuff. Well done! It is up there with my favourites such as Robocop, Commando, Cybernoid and Miami Vice. Do ya know where i can find the mp3 for Rambo - all I can find are remixes and sid format. Cheers, Delboy.

  • You can find the SID files from lemon64 dot com. Then you can get SIDAMP plugin for WinAmp player, that allows you to play the orginal sid files in it. If you wish to get info how to convert those sid files to mp3 files, contact me and I'll send you step by step instructions how to do it :)

  • Just to let people know, you can download mp3s of almost every SID track ever made. Just google soasc, and its the first result!

It was a gigantic effort to record each individual sid!

  • Thank you! I've been glued to the site for 3 days straight.

  • Lol nicely done! Never got a chance to check out the game, but I agree pretty damn cool music for an older game.

  • Thanks! Check out the other clip too with Martin Galways music :)

  • I'll soon upload the other song from the game. I first thought I would use them both in the same video, but decided not to. Note that the other tune is 3:30 long and it is not looping (or looped..) as this tune is.
