Wonderful enunciation. Fabulous! I loved it. You did great. The Awake! Awake! section sounded great, but I would have loved it to be with a little more punch, but that is just a personal opinion. That is my favorite way to sing the section.
i sang this song with my choir last year for a district honor choir... we had 18 people with about seven or eight guys and were going up against school that had forty plus kids... we rocked so hard on that song... we were the best choir there mostly because we loved this song so much.. even now we look back at singing this song and we want to sing it again.. we also took it too large group and received straight I's which is the highest you can get.. a nearly perfect score

i go to cascade high school in Everett Washington, we are singing this song, it sounds really good we are going to contest with it. it sound good but we are not confident with it, no one in our class is really confident

the parts to this song are amazing. i love how it goes from a minor part saying about sorrow and despair. then in the center of it all (around maybe 3:28 to 3:33) there is a glimer of hope then some one (perhaps god himself?) tells you to awaken and embrace the music around you. the ending of this song is true, "let music live!"

A Great performance of a Great song. I hope my chorus does as well by this song as yours did. Your chorus is large enough to be even quieter in the opening phrase. A little more work with dynamics in the withered and died phrase could have also added to the power of the piece. This is a solid performance.

This song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life eaisilly. Its an Amazing song to sing, at Monroe High for our New York Tour, the choir members are going and singing it. I love this song with a passion. Im so happy to have the honor of singing it. We are trying to do it with a smaller choir, around 30 people, only 3 tenors, and like 1 baritone. my concert choir is doing this and our director is using you guys as a model choir for us...great job..you all are amazing...however at 27-28 and alto voice is searching for a note and it is very obvious...idk if its the camerawoman or an onstage voice. first soprano voices are beautiful in this choir...you sound like you have some good leaders within your choir.

I performed this song with at South Dakota All-State Chorus in 2005. Simply put...it was AMAZING! There is nearly 1,000 in the choir, and we were accompanied by the orchestra...wow...It was one of the most amazing feelings I have ever had in my life. I love this song!
yeah i think everyone is singing this this year. but it's just such an amazing song.....it like embodies everything that music is and everything it does for us. personally, this song is very important to me because music is pretty much everything i am. :D anyways, our concert was last night - we rocked this out. :P so yeah.....good song.
I love this song to pieces, but it just sounds a lot better as TTBB. The soprano and alto parts seem to overpower the tenor and bass parts when I listen to it as SATB. My ear has been tuned to TTBB and I personally think it sounds better that way.
There waaaas going to be a video of our choir performing this song in TTBB, but my friend with the camera couldn't make it to the concert. I'm sure there's some on YouTube somewhere, but I'm going to sound a bit narcissistic for a moment and say that they weren't as good as ours (or this one, actually). I sang this with my choir in school about two years ago (my freshman year) and it became our FAVORITE song. We used to just gather around the piano when we weren't doing anything in class or even after school and just sing it. We absolutely loved it and I still absolutely love it. It is such an AMAZING song. I remember every word still and I always will. I seriously will never forget this song.

i love this song the alabama alstate ttbb choir song this as our finale and we convinced Joseph Martin to play the accompliment for us. it was one of the best moments of that year

I loved this song. I sang it my sophomore year in high school for large group and we got three one ratings and they were all 39 out of 40. My choir director has tears in his eyes when we finished the song.

I'd like to hear the TTBB as well, I performed the SATB but am curious to hear an all mens choir do this.. This is a great video by the way, 5 stars. The video kinda sucks but it's all about the sound with music!

I performed this song with at South Dakota All-State Chorus in 2005. Simply put...it was AMAZING! There is nearly 1,000 in the choir, and we were accompanied by the orchestra...wow...It was one of the most amazing feelings I have ever had in my life. I love this song!

yeah i think everyone is singing this this year. but it's just such an amazing song.....it like embodies everything that music is and everything it does for us. personally, this song is very important to me because music is pretty much everything i am. :D anyways, our concert was last night - we rocked this out. :P so yeah.....good song.

I love this song to pieces, but it just sounds a lot better as TTBB. The soprano and alto parts seem to overpower the tenor and bass parts when I listen to it as SATB. My ear has been tuned to TTBB and I personally think it sounds better that way.
But this performance was very good. Five stars.

There waaaas going to be a video of our choir performing this song in TTBB, but my friend with the camera couldn't make it to the concert. I'm sure there's some on YouTube somewhere, but I'm going to sound a bit narcissistic for a moment and say that they weren't as good as ours (or this one, actually). To me, those felt a bit...lacking in feeling - the notes were there and they sang them with no passion. Or something. >>;
But they're out there. :D

good song, but it's better when its TTBB. our men's ensemble sang TTBB and we did SATB for graduation but it wasn't the same. it's a good performance of it too

i think missouri state university sang this the best out of all i've heard :) some conductors conduct this song too fast or too slow :/ but this is just right.

I loved this song when I was in choir:) "I dreamed a dream", there were a lot of people who've actually had a dream like this...and I've had this song in my head when I'm sad. It usually makes me feel better.

this is one of my favorite pieces of choral music ever, and this group did a wonderful job. i was amazed at how well the accompaniment sounded with a stand up piano, kudos to the pianist.

Thank-you for your comments everyone! The North Kansas City High school Acapella Choir had the opportunity to host the fabulous Tower choir from Northwest Univ..To conclude the program, both choirs sang together in a unrehearsed performance. We left that day with many good memories..Director
