Why would I lie? In Spanish, "la" and "the" don't always have the same use. In Spanish, words have "genders". For example, la canasta (the basket), we're not saying it's The Ultimate Basket, we say it because canasta is a "female" word. Another example would be "el zapato" (the shoe) Since shoe is a "masculine" word, we use el instead of la. "Raza" is a female word, hence the use of the article "la", not "el raza", but "la raza". It's a bit hard to explain it, but I hope you understood me.

Their rich history has seen the rise and fall of great empires and dynasties that include those of the Maya, Toltecs, Aztecs and Spaniards. Unique historical figures such as Nezahualcoyotl, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, Jose Maria Morelos and Benito Juarez. Instead of always insulting Mexicans, maybe you should learn to respect who they are.

President Polk ordered that soldiers be moved into the area between the Rio Grande and Nueces River, with the intention of starting a war with Mexico. Polk strongly believed in the racist concept of "Manifest Destiny", and was doing everything in his power to expand the nation westward. Do more research next time:)

If the first migrants were indeed from Europe, that would not change the fact that their direct descendents would be found in the modern day Native American population. If the first migrants were from Asia, I doubt that modern day Asian-Americans would try to claim them as their direct biological ancestors. Be more respectful.

Why would I lie? In Spanish, "la" and "the" don't always have the same use. In Spanish, words have "genders". For example, la canasta (the basket), we're not saying it's The Ultimate Basket, we say it because canasta is a "female" word. Another example would be "el zapato" (the shoe) Since shoe is a "masculine" word, we use el instead of la. "Raza" is a female word, hence the use of the article "la", not "el raza", but "la raza". It's a bit hard to explain it, but I hope you understood me.
