totally agree, this is one of my favorite Lettermen tracks, I have every thing they have ever recorded having been a collector for over 40 years1 so if there are any tracks you want me to post please let me know.
Sorry for the delay in plying to your e-mail (been in hospital) when I thought I had all their tracks up pops a new one!! I have checked ALL my albums but have not got this one, I cannot find it in any discographies so perhaps it was a live performance or an un-released track, does anyone else know?
@blackrockguy1945 Hey Blackrockguy, Just read your post and I know it's been a year but hope your still alive. The Lettermen recorded this in 1962 and is one their second album called, "Once Upon Time"....
I challenge any group to beat the harmonies they did in "Dreamer" I must have heard that song 1000s of times, it just keeps getting better. They were a SUPER group, no doubt on my behalf.
Great song! The first version I heard of this was from TV's Laverne & Shirley (Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams)...I didn't pay much mind to my Dad's Lettermen albums then...I thought I was sooooooo cool..LOL
nah....BCR's not as embarassing as liking (ahem) Tony Christie....Is This The Way To Amarillo...I wore out 2 45's of that and bought it again when it became popular 3 years ago...LOL
It's impossible to hear this song too many times!

Connie Stevens actually helped The Lettermen launch their career. She and Tony had been friends.

One of my favs for a loooooooooong time Richard! I consider it one of their best. Of course being a briiliantly crafted song did help!
