I watched a Zennie video where it sure looked like a black lady was demanding jobs for only other black people.
I think such thinking is wrong.
I dont think any person should get or not get a job based on skin color.
However I do see the point in standing up and asking for priority hireing of local labor, and for allowing for a local contractor to have his best shot at winning bids.
You can protect local workers without a "whites only/Blacks only" hiring policy
Why would anyone want to build any stadium on land that has radiological elements and very polluted. The 49ershave said again and again that they do not want to be anywhere near the polluted - Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Some of you should read the Final Historical Radiological Report available at the Main SF Library. Some folks will say anything when some one promises jobs. Google Lennar and you will find out how this company - promises and delivers - nothing. Do not trust Lennar.
The meeting was held at the Southeast Facility Commission - 1800 Oakdale in the Bayview. The author does not know what he is talking about. The author of this video is clearly - on the take and taking money from Lennar. Lennar has poisoned our children and was fined $515,000 by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. The author of this video is ignorant of the facts and what is more does not live in the community. He has been prompted to show case an issuet he has no comprehension about.
Hunters Point is the first place depleted uranium was tested. Ninety five percent of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is prone to LIQUEFACTION. Why would anyone want to live at Hunters Point when you cannot plant or dig in your own backyard? Why would anyone want to live in the middle of Chernobyl? You heard the sellouts say - yes. And yes this sell outs on Lennar's pay roll - all of them do not have the better interests of the community at large. This video is so one sided.
I would never live near a ball park as parking would always be a mess, However I really like the idea of a new ball park.
New ball park projects do help an area in need of good jobs.
It seems to me that after 10 years of talking that everyone has had a chance to have their say, and now its time to start turning some dirt and pouring cement!
My hearing is not so good, but I dont really understand what the lady is saying at 2:24 Something about jobs? She wants them to hire local? Is that what she wants? Thats a good suggestion, are there many stadium builders in her neighborhood ? But then look at 3:42 She seems to ask for all the jobs to go to 'Black People"? She wants jobs for only Black people? What an evil racist thing to say! Is that how far we have sunk in America? and No one tells her thats wrong?

So I think the ballpark is a great idea and comes at a good time.
I like where they are putting the ballpark, and the number of homes they will also build as part of the deal
I cant find any reason not to support the whole project
Except for one thing
I do also understand that some contractors are bad
I dont know anything about this Lennar but if they are ok then use them
But if they are a problem then get a different company.
Just start building!

actually a ball park sounds like a great idea for that area.
Covers over the trouble and brings in needed revenue to a part of the Bay area that has seen a need for imrovement for decades.
From my study of this project is sure sounds like this could be the one thing to really kick-start redevelopment in that area.
Jobs, never underestimate the role of a good job to save a family, a neighborhood, and a city.

I believe that in this economy that the people of this city should be thankfull that this project will now get started.
My city is hurting, we would give anything to have a so many jobs starting up.
The new affordable housing, the use of open land that was just sitting unused, seems like there is no down side..
Just remember to take into account earthquakes in the design.

I got no problem with a large city project haveing some rules that make sure that whenever they can, they hire from the local Contractors.
It helps keep the money local.
But I have a BIG PROBLEM with anyone who stands up and says that hireing for jobs should be in any way determined by skin color.
That is Racist ...
That is Evil...
That is Wrong...

Also, the man speaking at 0:37 is asking - "Who the hell is we?, Who the hell is us?"
What is he really asking about?
