I'm afraid none of the Valenta's are left the last 2 were withdrawn in December 2010 these are Paxman VP185's, very reminiscent of the Valenta engine.

@MEKAYJIMMYNATHE Doh, so it does, was this shot yesterday? ours was, on the northbound leg.(shot by my 6yr old) you can see her better in mine though.lol. got a nice photo.

@Intercity47GBRail ok, just uploading the East coast scotsman, that was one miserable driver, he gave me a right b........g for going down the ramp at platform end, if it wasn't for the fact my kids were there i think there would've been trouble, might even report the tosser to east coast.

I like East Coast as an operator but it is annoying that the don't paint them! It's probably because it is a state owned company so the government will want to sped as little as possible, slap a sticker on the side and it'l be right!

@Intercity47GBRail EastCoast do NOT own the set, its on hire, and even then the set is on hire from Poterbrook or whoever.

Yes they are both on hire from Porterbrook as is the rolling stock. But I thought the set was now on long term hire to East Coast from Porterbrook rather than EMT. Thanks for the info.
