  • Heres the problem with this video non of the verses pertain to Christianity but to Judaism “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. Jer 31:31-32

this is an everlasting covenant that cant be changed

  • @alydamarte good comment. That's what I was going to say as well. The OT punishments are no longer binding. However, the Quran & Hadiths still stand and are the current "marching" orders of all Muslims. Muslims follow what Muhammad said and Christians follow JESUS' COMMANDMENTS as laid out in the NT.

    God Bless

  • Moral of the story? The Abrahamic religions are the perfect moral compass. :P

  • Quran is the newest version of all the books of God. Which is presented to human at the time when the start of Global village was realised thats y Quran fulfills all the needs of today's Global village as well as in future.

  • The Quran and the Bible are not aponents to one another, they both are the books of God, only versions deffers.

  • Of course the Koran would have things slightly better - it was written by fewer people over a shorter period of time, and was written almost 1000 years later by a more civilized people

  • Good video.

I don't want to sound like a Christian apologist, I'm an atheist, but I must say most of the cruel and morally debatable aspects of Christianity according to our modern standards seem to come from the Old Testament. Of course, Christians are required to believe in the Old Testament, but the New Testament, which is somewhat more important, does carry a more peaceful, forgiving, and loving nature, albeit sure it also contains some questionable morals.

  • @Wotanraven

Except the whole hell thing, which is only found in the new testament. Jesus says not a letter of the law is changed by his coming, though he contradicts himself on that, but certainly believes the scriptures, so it seems to go without saying that what the OT says IS what the NT says.

  • @unassumption you said: Jesus says not a letter of the law is changed by his coming, though he contradicts himself on that

Not true. Jesus said "I am not come to destroy(law), but to fulfil."

To "fulfill" does not mean to destroy/abolish. If you owe someone $ and you pay them, you did not DESTROY/ABOLISH your debt, you paid it. Christ did this ie the cross.

The promise was given 430yrs B4 the law. So, it is the LAW that can not disannul the promise; not the other way arnd. Read Gal ch.3-4

  • JESUS IS LORD

  • Fascinating! Thank you.

  • I'm glad that you noted "not taken in context" because the torah forbids kidnapping which equals death penalty, sex with any relative including cousins. It prohibits rape, concubines, multiple wives and harming children.

  • The laws given to the children of Israel were for the land of Israel and didn't subject foreigners to such laws because the covenant wasn't with anyone but the Israelites. Christians follow the laws of the Holy Spirit, not the laws of Moses for the possession of Israel, in order to bring us to Christ. We found Christ. Muhammad's teachings are polar opposite of the Gospel. And the Jews today are seeing the true meaning of the laws which are life, love and forgiveness because all need Jesus.

  • Basically, they're both disgusting books, but because the Qu'ran is newer it is not quite as bad by an infinitely small fraction.

  • The criteria to prove such actions are solid enough to ensure no one get stoned which is not an Islamic practice but a christian and jewish one. Stoning in the Quran is not mentioned there in as a earthly punishment. And do not forget Muslims were once Jews, Christians and pagan hence keeping some of the old habbits alive. But since ur a fake intellectual u would not take any of this to consideration. Its not part of the status quo.

  • Hmm, I'm not really into this Islam thing since its pretty old news. Most already know that its a cesspool of corruption, violence and greed. While Christianity still retains its veil of a moral guiding post and a force for good which should be expunged in the soonest possible time. Then again, I can't deny the amount of data you put into here. Good job! Keep it up. Subbed...

  • i notice u never criticise the torah and the tulmad lmao maybe cuz ur a jew huh?

  • @Unity4allhumans you do realize the torah and the old testament are the same, right?

  • @Unity4allhumans Another BS video by the le nazi anti-semite. No he hangs around those kinds and the polytheists. Quran 5:82. If he hung around scholars of the hadiths, ie actual scholars rather than those who claim to be scholars or are fringe scholars... then he'd learn something. But ... islam is a threat to his belief stance, so he has to prove it wrong. Otherwise he'll become a muslim, and I don't think he's a willing candidate.

  • @Unity4allhumans

The first five books of the bible (Genesis, Exodus, Levicticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) ARE what is called the Torah in Judaism. Most of these are mentioned in the video. In Christianity they are called the Pentateuch. What does being Jewish have to do with anything anyway?

  • @Xmuslim07 Because it shows your criticing all religions objectively. The Torah is the old testiment, BUT Christians do not follow this book. I have no problem that he is a Jew. I have a problem that he is a pro Israeli Zionist individual that is intentionally but indirectly attempting to incite hatred towards Islam/ Muslims through his deceptive minipulation of truth.

  • @Unity4allhumans Pat Condell does the same thing, he talks down islam & muslims but draws positive attritubutes to Judaism.

  • @Unity4allhumans

What evidence do you have that he is a Zionist or pro Israeli? You can't equate objective criticism of Islam with inciting hatred towards Islam and Muslims. In fact Klimschor/L'orientalist has quite clearly distanced himself from people who do incite hatred and bigotry towards Muslims like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. What part of the video is untrue? He quotes directly from the sources, both the Quran and the Bible.

  • @Xmuslim07 I have personal messages between me and him. Also its not objective if he is omitting parts and pushing other parts under the microscope.

  • @Xmuslim07 Also he does not use much Quranic referrences at all. He uses hadith and makes it seem a if its Gospel when its not. Its just narrations of the life of Mohammed. Story telling some true some not. Even the bigest hadith hugger knows it contains errors and contradiction. He may try to distande him self from them but they are alot alike then meets the eye. What person has 2 accounts, website dedicated to criticising peoples beliefs?

  • @Unity4allhumans Thats because the Quran is an astonishingly vague text. Very few of the rulings of sharia are derived directly from the Quran. For example the Quran commands believers to perform the five daily prayers but does not give the precise times or method. Almost all of the rulings regarding prayer (which is fundamental to Islamic doctrine) are contained within the ahadeeth.

  • @Xmuslim07 Klingshor opps i mean xmuslim... Thats where ur so wrong. The Quran does give specific times and the method was already inplace since The Quran came to reconfirm previous scriptures and prophets whom taught people to pray already. Hence how Jews pray similar to Muslims.

  • @Unity4allhumans On the point of criticizing other people's beliefs. I think criticizing Islam is important as it was in christian society during the enlightenment period. Its only through skepticism and questioning that society can evolve. My youtube channel is devoted largely to criticizing Islam, but this does not mean that I have any bad feelings towards Muslims or even necessarily towards Islam as a whole.

  • @Xmuslim07 The most important subject that needs to be tackled today is Zionismand western rulership. Islam is not the problem and if you think it is. Go look in the mirror because your in a trans. You are beyond brainwashed your hypnotised.

  • @Unity4allhumans No, I am glad that I live in a Western secular democracy that protects freedom of speech and religion and that I don't live under sharia. If I did I would be killed as an apostate for expressing my beliefs. Many muslims live under western secular democracies and take all the benefits of Western society. Muslims in the US, Australia or the UK are much more free to practice their religion than non muslims under sharia.

  • @Xmuslim07 Oh your such a loser. Have seen whats happening to the unarmed peaceful protesters boycotting ur leaders the ones that feed you the democracy card each time they want to pursuade u into war? Well the democracy pacifier is nothing but words. Never put into practice and if u had th faintest clue u would know u are more protected under sharia than u would be under western ruler. In sharia u can not be punished under islamic LAW since your not a Muslim fuck wit.

  • No you will not be killed as an apostate. You just need to mind your fucken buisness and stop causing and inciting hatred u dick head KLINGSHOR.You should know there is no punishment for apostates since ur suppose to be an ex muslim... Or is that your 3rd account which aims to ridicule Islam? Ya Zionist shill scum.

  • @Unity4allhumans LOL, You call me "fuckwit" "dickhead", "baboon" and "zionist shill scum" yet I'm the one inciting hatred because I dare to try and have a rational debate with you. Also, sorry to disappoint you but I am not Klimschor. I have never met him before in my life but I happen to like his channel. Don't try to tell me that Islam does not prescribe the death penalty for aposatsy, look it up.

  • @Xmuslim07 I am hating on your ignorance and your supported ideologies which is complete and utter hypocracy.. On one hand your pointing at aa doctrine which only applies to MUSLIMS which whom are not asking for you to protect them from. But you think its okay that your rulers have turned the world inside out massacring, raping most Muslim countries and on the verge of begining world war III. Thats what i hate about u. AND no death penality for apostates. ONLY for treachery. 2 different things

  • @Xmuslim07 If you were a Muslim before you should know that no penality at all for apostasy in this life. lmao another fake ex muslim exposed.

  • @Unity4allhumans Seriously, what the hell are you talking about? I have never been involved in or supported any massacre before in my life. Stop making sweeping generalizations that have nothing to do with the point I was raising. Anyway thank you for letting me see your true colors, I try to have a serious and reasonable debate with you and you get angry and start calling me names. Well done, what a great way to win an argument.

  • @Xmuslim07 By u saying you support western society your supporting genocide you pin head. Not only are you inlove with TODAYS CURRENT OPPRESSORS. YOUR dissing the oppressed. You are in a deep hypnotism. You still believe in democracy. lmao.

  • @Unity4allhumans I do not claim at all to know everything about Islam. Enlighten me, what has Klimschor got so badly wrong about Islam that needs to be corrected. I'm sorry but rants about zionism and Western imperialism don't make the problems with Islam go away.

  • Problem with some muslims= humans. Not Islam you baboon. Zionism and western imperialism is a contemporary crisis the world is facing. So its logical that we face the bigger threat. Which has caused masacres at epic levels. Its bombarded human sancitity aswell as intoxicated the earth. Ideologies which can not be misinterpreted, misread or misunderstood. Based on racism, superimism, imperialism. This is a genuine threat to humanity and u want to nit pick on a book sitting on a shelf.

  • @Unity4allhumans There is also a big difference between the two. As far as I can see klimschor/lorientalist has said nothing untrue about Islam. Whereas Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer tell blatant lies about Islam and Muslims such as that Muslims curse christians and jews in their 5 daily prayers and that the majority of muslims are secretly extremist and plan to overthrow western society. You can't compare liars and bigots with people who criticize Islam objectively.

  • @Xmuslim07 There is no difference and i think klingschor is worse. Because he hides behind intellect. Hiding important facts, and magnifying other facts is deceptive and targets a different audience which he is trying to achieve.

And you make it out like u know Islam inside out. He did say lots of infactual things and what he doesn't point out is what makes the entire difference.

  • Isn't the lashings pointless if they are going to execute you?

  • @finderfinder100

You would think so, wouldn't you? But who am I to contend with the logic of the Messenger of God :P

  • @Lorientalist

specially if you're going to excute them by....lashing them more

  • @finderfinder100 the point is to inflict pain...

  • @finderfinder100 Isn't it the lashings pointless if you are going to burn in hell forever and tortured forever...

  • @ramio1983

The Bible and the Qur’ān & hadīths both mandate horrible punishments for bullshit crimes – the latter just proscribe death in a few less circumstances. In most cases, they’re pretty-much the same. Yes, the Qur’an is more advanced in a number of cases, but mostly they proscribe similar punishments. Thusly, my analysis still stands.

As for the title, dude – youtube titles need to be short and snappy. That has nothing to do with anything - the real title is displayed in the video.

  • So my question to you is if all the laws are sealed within the Quran whilst the prophet was still alive, then why are we focusing on Hadith based laws and trusting that over the Quran? Isnt the Quran Gods word? Then certainly all laws and punishments are included within and i am happy to say the Quran mandates death for NO CRIME. Your video is simply the Bible VS the Quran and you know without including the hadiths, you'd have a baseless argument, and even with them you still do man.

  • For Apostasy, you use the Hadith only with no Quranic reference. So again, whats with the Misleading title? You state Death is ordered to Pagans, what- any Pagans? So i can go and kill the Pagan next door? The Quran mandates the death penalty for NOTHING. ALL of the death sentences are found in Hadith Literature, and all the laws are finalised and sealed within the Quran itself. The Quran states "Today i have perfected your religion and chosen for you Islam" (One of the last lines revealed).

  • Anyone arrogant that doesnt listen to their priest is to be killed. (Deuteronomy 17:12)

Whoever strikes his parents shall be put to death (Exodus 21:15)

If one person disbelieves from another town, the entire town and its inhabitants even its animals must be killed. (Deuteronomy 13:13). If your parents advise you to join another religion then kill them. (Deuteronomy 13:7). Anyone who works on Sabbath must be put to death. (Exodus 31:12). Qurans equivolent please? You get my drift.

  • None of the books appear to be harsher even though they are centuries apart? Really? Bible says Any person that curses his parents should be put to death (Leviticus 20:9). Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27) . Women that protect their husbands whilst they are fighting shall have their hand chopped off. (Deuteronomy 25:11-12). If you have a rebellious son, publically get him stoned by your community. Deutrtonomy. 21-18-21). Qurans equivolent please?

  • @ramio1983

Well, kill rebellious kids has no equal, I already covered practicianers of the occult in my video, and as for amputation, the Qur'an proscribes that for theft. As of such, my initial analysis still stands, I think - they're pretty much the same, but the Islamic texts are a little more advanced

  • @Lorientalist Yes but the context is different. A woman is protecting her husband is to have her hand chopped off. Theft is a crime in modern and ancient standards, so at least the Quran prescribes it for an actual crime, as opposed to protecting your partner? I read the Quran and nowhere does it curse me for eating shellfish, or wearing certain materials, nor does it tell me i was born sinful and that God killed himself for me- im sorry the Quran does and always will do RINGS around the Bible.

  • @Lorientalist Your early stance in your studies proved more accurate, you instantly knew the Quran was far more advanced than the Bible and you said it yourself. Your current change of state implies to me that you have back-pedalled and to say the Quran is only "slightly" more advanced than the Bible is certainly confusing. The Quran in its writing style itself is far more advanced than the Bible. I read the Bible in my hotel stays in my job and just scratch my head and squirm most the time.

  • @Lorientalist You also fail to address death for anyone arrogant to their priest. Death for striking a parent. Death for an ENTIRE town which has ONE disbeliever. Death for ANYONE that works on a Sabbath. Who are you kidding man, honestly? You stand by your analysis.? I call your analysis a fail, sorry to say.

  • @ramio1983

Ok, so let me get this straight: The Bible orders death for Priest disrespectors, Fornicators, Adulterers, Pagans, Blasphemers, Apostates, Sabbath-Breakers, Witches, Homosexuals; The Qur'an and Hadith order death for Fornicators, Adulterers, Heretics, Apostates, Pagans and Homosexuals. How exactly does that in invalidate my analysis? They're mostly neck-to-neck, but the Bible is worse. Where did I go wrong?

  • @Lorientalist First of all your video is titled Bible VS QURAN - not Bible vs Quran and Hadiths. So the title could do with a change. Also the Quran (in itself) does not order death for fornicators and adulterers...It is lashing and you know that. You backup Punishment for homosexuality as certain death in the Quran as stated in 4:16 but the punishment could NOT be death seeming the verse continue with "If they repent and amend, leave them alone". You've got it wrong, big time.!

  • @Lorientalist You went wrong because in the Quran there is no death penality for Fornication, adulterers, here=tics, apostates, pagans, homosexuals.. How ever before Islam came to be the JEWS, CHRISTIANS, PAGANS were buring female babies in the ground and were punishing all the above. ISLAM Aliviated human punishment for human sins. In Islam only treason, murder are illegible for death penality. Human sins are said to have punishments but Islam put criteria to proving such actions.

  • @ramio1983 he forgets to mention the criteria for the punishment. Like four eye witnesses of good character. lmao he is a zionist prick.

  • @ramio1983 Where's the verse in the Bible that says to kill all unbelievers like many in Islam? Deut 25:11-12 is hand removal for a woman getting involved in a fight and grabbing the man's testicles whose linage might bring forth the Savior of the world. Jews are blessed Arabs cursed. If anyone annoyed or spoke the truth about muhammad, they'd be mutilated and murdered 33:33-40 and ppl like Uqba bin Abu Muayt, Kab bin al-Ashraf, a slave-mother, etc.. allah will send them to hell too 9:81-83 lol

  • @MrSheniah LOL you're so funny yeah anyone that spoke against Muhammad was mutilated and murdered? Yeah thats why in his last years of life he allowed a delegation of about 30 priests/monks to come to his mosque and debate with him about Jesus Christ for a couple of days. Heck he even allowed them to pray in his mosque and openly debate him, was there a single bit of blood shed? NO! The Christians left knowing he was a true noble man and he let them be. Bible is a hot mess of MURDER and mayhem.

  • Comment removed

  • @ramio1983 Sick to make excuses for a murdering, thief, who was a pedophile and slave trader, who tells you to put your faith into his words. That's how islam is, it's a cult. I've don't recall the "debate" I know the heretic Ebonite cult last dwelt in Mecca, bin Nawfal told Muhammad that what Muhammad thought was Satan speaking to him, must of been Gabriel. lol. He convinced Muhammad he was a prophet even. lol Ebionites created a false gospel, that's what Muhammad's understanding comes from.

  • @MrSheniah Then you would know the "war cries" in the Quran are also for a specific time period, during the battles that Mohammed were involved in, not for us to use as an excuse for terror today. It was actually a Christian that convinced Mohammed it was Jibreel communiating with him. You can call the prophet any insult you like, if that makes you feel better it doesnt effect me. Your Israel/USA pride and alliance says enough for me, your just a conservative retard at the end of the day.

  • @ramio1983 Ebionites aren't Christians, but heretics. They were banned from Israel by the Sanhedrin and Pharisees because they created their own torah before Christ was even born. After Christ they made their own "gospel" too which was also heretical and not from the Holy Spirit and the disciples of God. Christians forced them down to the wilderness with their blasphemy writings. An Ebionite, Waraqa bin Nawfal told Muhammad the spirit was Not Satan but Gabriel and taught him lies.

  • @MrSheniah So you follow the Christianity of the 4th century right? The fabricated trinitarian version of Christianity equating Jesus to God himself exclusively right?! I never knew Paul was the "Holy Spirit". If you want to win someone over to Christ you might want to stop your hate crusade first, im just saying. You believe that everything else is of Satan, no wonder your so deulded. What about the Hindus, Buddhists, Catholics, Bahaii's, Atheists? Are their ideas God inspired? ;-)

  • @ramio1983 That's frightening that you put all of your faith into one man who's actions you find "insulting"? Why would you risk eternal life for that? What benefits you to inherit the earth and lose your soul? Please, look at what you are saying. This is your soul that's at risk and you don't want to be following the blind into the eternal pit. Muhammad added the Ebionite blasphemous heresies to other religious teachings at the time and his own desires, to form Islam.

  • @MrSheniah

Ebionites make a lot more sense than trinitarians ._.

  • Your reference links in the blog entry is all messed up!

  • @sp00x

    They're all correctly numbered though

  • You can try to make it appear that Judaism and Christianity are just as brutal as Islam but it doesn’t work for this reason.

Judaism and Christian have gone through reforms (because they are allowed to examine and change) – which Islam can’t seem to do.

Tell me, where do you find any Jews or Christians, stoning, beheading, amputating limbs, hanging, whipping their adherents of their faiths or condoning slavery TODAY?

Yet all these things are happening in Islam TODAY. Iran just executed 2 gays.

  • @arussan

Ah, shifting the goalposts, eh? Now its the only CURRENT religion?

"Tell me, where do you find any Jews or Christians, stoning, beheading, amputating limbs, hanging, whipping their adherents of their faiths or condoning slavery TODAY?"

Africa - that's where Churches and Christians they'are murdering 'witches', conducting anti-homosexual pogroms and committing genocide.

  • @Klingschor

Yes current – right now, the only time that really matters.

You may find some crazies doing weird things in Christianity/Judaism but they ridicule themselves and those occurrences are not accepted–unlike Islam where the barbarity of sharia law is widely practiced and condoned.

Do you know what Muslims are doing to Christians in Africa? Especially Nigera? You wanna talk about genocide? or is it Jihad?

  • Props for the use of Jez & Choopie - Yim (Hybrid's 'Sunrise' Remix) :D

  • @COEXISTential

Well, what can I say - it's an awesome song ;-)

  • @Lorientalist Yes indeed, and Hybrid are awesome, full stop :D

  • Shirk is the biggest, baddest and the most unforgivable sin. This concept is so comical. Yeah, an all powerful God's biggest concern is that humans get his name right for which he will even go to extend of physically torturing those who got his name wrong in an eternal torture chamber...How the fuck can muslims believe this today ? This is such an obvious bronze age mentality..Sigh !

  • @captaindisguise What is interesting is that Muhammad committed Shirk-e-Akbar, the biggest shirk, when bowed down and worshiped Al-Lat, Uzza and Manat. By those standards Muhammad would have been put to death and condemned to roast in the Hell fire.

  • @00ismaeL001 you mean before he became a self proclaimed "prophet", right ?

PS- i thought all muslims accepted the story of the satanic verses...

  • @captaindisguise Actually the incident happened AFTER he became the prophet of Islam. Muhammad wanted his tribe to join his faith so he went them and while he was among his tribe he bowed down, worshiped Al-Lat, Uzza and Manat. Muhamamd than said it was OK to use the 3 pagan goddesses as intercessors to Allah, associating idols with Allah. He committed Shirk, the worst kind. He also reportedly put that into the Quran. Later he said Shaitan tricked him and put the verses in the Quran

  • @captaindisguise Ibn Ishaq documented this in one of the earliest biographies of Muhammad called the Sirat Rasul Allah, later many of famous early Islamic scholars and biographers wrote the same. It was not considered of importance amongst those who were Muslims and lived in an era when one could not questioned Muhammad and his deeds, until later on. Many Muslims have been saying that this incident is not true and the debate continues, but why would early Muslims lie about something so bad?

  • @00ismaeL001 That is interesting, would you happen to know what the chapter title of this story is ? I have ibn ishaq's translation

  • @captaindisguise it is on pages 165-166 of Sirat Rasul Allah.

  • Today many Muslims deny that the Satanic Verses occurred, what is your position on the Satanic Verses @Lorientalist ?

Satanic Verses - did the incident occur or it the incident a fabrication?

    What do you think?

  • @captaindisguise ...later after placing the verses that you should pray to Al-Lat, Uzza and Manat as intercessors to Allah in the Quran, Muslims came to him and asked why he had gone against his early teachings of monotheism. He RESCINDED the verses claiming the Angel Jibreel had come to him and told him that he had errored and those verses came from SHAITAN, not Allah. So Muhammad had those verses removed and put in new ones.

The incident was called THE SATANIC VERSES

  • @captaindisguise "Shirk is the biggest, baddest and the most unforgivable sin." yeah next to suicide

  • @AHopeforPeace1 Yet Muhammad tried to commit suicide many times when he first received his "revelation".

Muhammad tried to throw himself off a cliff several times believing he was a possessed by demons when he had his revelation. It was a his wife Kadejah and her cousin who "convinced" Muhammad he was not possessed by demons, but was a prophet.

  • wow double check your stuff lots of misquotations this vid

  • @L3V92

If you can point some out, I'd be happy to post annotations.

  • The Bible vs The Qur'an..... Which joke is better? all i know is if both these books where never made alot of people would still be living 2day.

  • Excellent video! Balanced, fair and to the point.

  • @discussislam

    Thank you sir

  • Interesting that sirk is a great crime in Islam since Mo's goal was to unite the squabbling tribes by uniting the many gods they had into one god. Hence the importance of sirk and the 'slogan' there is no god but Allah and Mohammed was his messenger'. Mohammed became the prophet his new 'one god religion' needed. He invented the revelations the rest is hundreds of years of accrued mythology cultism and the ever busy scholar industry. Islam is too comical to be real but it is Mo's great hoax

  • Excellent comparisons ...but where is Ramio?

  • @asymmetricsymetry

From what I can tell, the Catholic Church (which, for a very long time, pretty-much defined Christianity) seems to have drawn heavily on Roman Law rather than on the Bible per se, but I'd have to do more research on that.

  • Very well researched.

  • @00ismaeL001

    Thank you

  • Is the Bible the direct word of God or text by prophets on stories of Jesus and old Jewish law?

I know the Qu'ran is regarded as the direct word of Allah spoken through Muhammad, but is the Bible the same?

  • @00ismaeL001

The Bible is the 'Inspired' Word of God, rather than the 'Literal' Word of God.

  • @Lorientalist So the Old Testament in the Bible is like the Torah or ancient Jewish law, and the new Testament is when Jesus came and are stories by Jesus followers of what they knew of Jesus, his life and what they witnessed? They are two books.

Oh regarding your thesis on Dhul-Qarnayn (Alexander the Great) on your blog, excellent research. I always heard it was Alexander the Great, but never knew if it was true or not.

  • @00ismaeL001

The Torah is the five books of Moses, the New Testament is all those pertaining to Jesus, but there are a whole host of other books inbetween, purtaining to the history of the Jews.

  • @Gnomefro

This video is in response to the commonly made claim that the Qur’an and the Hadith Literature are way worse than the Bible. The fact of the matter is that they’re pretty much the same.

I VERY CLEARLY said that the subject of this essay was an examination of these texts AT FACE VALUE, disregarding exterior interpretations. As of such, your comments are completely redundant, and you appear to be attacking a Strawman; I never compared Christianity and Islam, just their scriptures.

  • Didn't Sahih Al-Bukhari say the the Quran had the Stoning Sura, but yet today the Stoning Sura is today not in the Quran. I know that a sheep or a goat ate the Stoning Sura,, but I wonder which came first?

    1. The Stoning Sura was already in the Quran and but taken out by Uthman who put the Quran together?

    or

    2. The Stoning Sura was eaten by the goat or sheep BEFORE it was to added to the Quran?

    I never understood that

  • @00ismaeL001

The Verse of Rajm (Stoning) was eaten by a goat when Muhammad died, and 'A'yshiah (who was in possession of the verse) was distracted by the funeral, etc.

  • @Lorientalist lol....the goat did the world a big favor because there would've been more stonings if the goat hadn't ate it.

  • @ItsTheSuperFly

Coming from you, sir, such praise is both vindicating and a relief! I was worried that maybe the version of the Bible I was using had mistranslated a key word or term, etc.

  • @asymmetricsymetry

Jesus never abrogated the Old Testament; rather, he endorsed it:

    tinyurl . com / y981

    tinyurl . com / 3t478gg

However, thanks to the Reformation, the Renaissance and all of the subsequent Social, Political and Scientific Revolutions, Christianity at Large no longer follows the Old Testament.

But of course, the issue of interpretation wasn't teh subject of this video.

  • @kawaiigardiner

I was astonished to learn that Judaism doesn’t really follow the Torah at all, instead following the Rabbinical Literature and Commentary. I was especially fascinated at how the Rabbis effectively abolished the death penalty by ensnaring it with all kinds of legal restrictions and checks.

It was one of the most interesting things I learned in that Class.

  • Christians live by the Spirit of the Law not the letter of the Law. "For we know the law is Spiritual" Romans 7:14.

Muslims live by the Letter and are under there laws and all its severe punishments.

  • @ahmalala

Modern-Day Western Christians do, certainly, but Christians in Africa (for example) seem to be following the Old Testament as well. As I mentioned to asymmetricsymetry, Jesus never abrogated the Old Testament, but actually endorsed it.

  • @Lorientalist I would agree that many may misinterpret, but Jesus came to set us free from the punishment of death. He came to Fulfill the Law by dying in our place, since all have sinned. Paul also fully explains everything Jesus was talking about in Romans 7 and 8. As Jesus said the Truth has set believers free from the laws of sin and death.

  • @ahmalala

As I don't know very much about Christian Theology, I don't wish to get into this debate - I recommend ItsTheSuperFly for such a discussion.

  • Good work.

I wonder if there is a ranking list of the most violent or vile sentences.

  • Thank you, I know virtually nothing of the Qur'an. Your videos seem to give a balanced comparison. I hope the information you give will keep my mouth, foot free..

  • No wonder things tend to turn nasty wherever people believe these old texts to be the unquestionable truth.

  • who wrote your opening/closing music? It's pretty sick :)

  • @purplegem23

Yim (Hybrid's Sunrise Mix), by Jez & Choopie.

You don't even get to hear the best part of the song on this video :)

  • islam has the best PR team. we have to wait a couple more centuries before people start questioning and evolving out of this desert religion.

  • @halflifeproductionz

Despite the common misconception, Islam isn't a Desert Religion - Muhammad lived most of his life in the cities of Makkah and Madinah, where he received his revelations, and furthermore the Hijaz region of Arabia is in actual fact one of arid shrubland.

  • It's all the same ancient bullshit. You'd think we'd be over it by now, but it just seems to go on and on and on. Always look forward to a new Lorientalist and watch them straight away. Your scholarship is very impressive.

  • @colourmegone

    Thank you kindly :)

  • Dude, you are the fucking man can you do a video which throws the Torrah in the mix.

  • @TheZamario Basically, for the purposes of this video, the torah is the bible, as all of the biblical laws are from old testament sources.

Now look at the laws and punishments actually used in countries that follow these religions today and see what has changed.

  • @mrsanity I think the interesting part is to read and compare the interpretations - especially when comes to comparing mainstream Jewish interpretation vs. mainstream Muslim interpretations :D

  • @TheZamario bible is old testament too basically the torah

  • @TheZamario

The Torah consists of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. In the Christian Bible, the Torah is known as the Pentateuch.

  • I've had many conversations when people don't believe my claim about how similar the bible and qur'an are. This is getting favorited and will be shared if I end up in such conversations again

  • @Scarletpooky

This essay was inspired by a common claim made by anti-Muslim bigots I argue with, that the Bible is way better than the Qur'an and the Hadith Literature.

The impetus to make this video came a few days ago, however, when I entrered a Christian anti-Muslim Paltalk room, and after listening to their shite I pointed out (in the context of their claims) that the Bible was just as bad, if not a lot worse than the Qur'an and Hadiths. They called me ignorant - this is my response >:-)

  • @Lorientalist Now, Just to be clear, I'm an atheist, but doing comparisons like this is moronic and Christians have a right to be offended by such a comparison for the simple reason that Christian beliefs involve the establishment of a new covenant, so virtually everything you point to in the bible is not followed by *any* Christian. You can object to the content being barbaric and about it refuting God's unchanging nature, but it's not a moral guide for Christians and never was.

  • @Lorientalist Of course, the opposite is true for the Qur'an and Hadith. The Qur'an must be taken literally in its entirety because it's written by Allah and contains commands you'll burn in hell if you don't follow, and the Qur'an also contains a command to emulate Mohammed, which gives the Hadith almost the same status. At least a person has to maintain that Hadiths are forgeries to ignore them, which is not exactly easy given muslim traditions.

  • @Lorientalist Overall, you can just glance at which groups are performing the most violence in the name of their religion today to conclude which is the most antisocial. I'd like to see them both go, but given a choice, only a retarded person would choose Islamic theocracy over modern Christianity.

  • Jesus vs Muhammad... ill choose muhammad.

Muhammad banged more women, drank more beer and beat and killed more bad guys than Jesus ever did.

Muhammad was a total gangsta, which is fucking cool. Jesus was just a smelly hippie.

  • @JegHarEnLillePik a mass murderer, child molester, rapist is totally cool? Then you wonder what is wrong with today's society when people refer to evil as cool.

I doubt that Jesus even existed, but if he did, I would definitely side for him not for a kiddie fucker like Muhammad

  • @TXHalabi Glad to see you're still active! Hope to see more videos of yours soon :)

  • @JegHarEnLillePik Muhammad drank beer? I thought Muslims couldn't drink.

  • @BusinessEdgeRadio Yeap, he drank alcohol (he it in moderation when compared to his hill-billy counterparts) right up until it was 'banned'.

Side note, interesting that Muslims tells us non-Muslims that Islam is a religion of moderation - what is so moderate about an outright ban of alcohol?
