Those were great cars...you used to see them everywhere...too bad there aren't very many left. My next door neighbors, an 83 year old couple, just traded one in at my local dealer for "Cash for Clunkers"....got a new Grand Marquis for under 20K with all the rebates.
I had a 1988 Olds Cutlass Supreme Broughm with the European Front end I bought it in 2000 for $4,000 it has 58,000 original miles and the interior and exterior were in excelent condition like new and paint was perfect as well. I loved that car I remember even having some woman complain I loved that car more then them problem was they were probly right. Use to wash and detail it 3 times a week always armor all tires and interior was such great car suck it was stolen and stripped down to frame
Good point. Hose it off with a generous amount of fresh water and wash when you're done and you should be OK. Just wish I had a car like that to be concerned about.
Mine was a dark metallic blue '85. Got stolen from I-240 and Santa Fe in '91. I miss mine, too. I think about all these guys who build '55 Chevys for themselves now, I'll be building myself an '87 or '88 Cutlass in a few years.
Many years back, I remember reading that the most stolen car in America was the mid 80s Cutlass Supreme ('84s especially). This was about 1991. Thanks for posting this.
God I loved Cutlass Supremes! Mom had an older one for years, and an older one when I was a kid (that one was brand new). When I took drivers ed with Ernie Daniels, we had a brand new 1985 or 1986 Cutlass, light blue. We used to drive out to nowhere, and he'd let us play Prince or The Time on the cassette player. hahaha
Wow lmao
