  • IS this on CD?

  • @ScrewAttackEurope it's from Takako Ohta's 1989 album "Thanks".

  • Composed by Zuntata?

  • 太田貴子サンといえば、クリーミーマミの主題歌歌ってましたよね。

  • Would anyone happen to know the name of the song during the credits?

  • Song name is "A boy who crosses the rainbow(虹を渡る少年)".

    A singer is "Takako Oota(太田貴子)".

And I wrote lyrics in the description area. Thanks.

  • Thank you!

  • Composed by Zuntata?

  • No. The ending song is a popular song in those days, and has nothing to do with the Arcade version. It is a bonus track of PCEngine version. When I cleared this game, I was surprised at this song. Incidentally, the composer of "Rainbow Islands" is Shizuo Aizawa. He is not a member of Zuntata.

  • There is "Sound : Hisayoshi Ogura" in Arcade version ending(at 1:50 the following movie id; UGXm3FjiavE). Actually, Ogura ordered music from Aizawa, and Aizawa composed it. Ogura was Zuntata member.

  • so is this game called bubble island?

  • No, the game is called Rainbow Islands. This level is Bubble Island.

  • i wasnt sure cause i completed rainbow islands on the c64 and never saw this level. Nor did i see those kind of waves that shoot out left and right from the character. Plus this music is from bubble bobble. that all confused me.

  • This version featured secret levels including Bubble Island, with the music paying homage to the first game of the series.

  • @KatziiYataki That's because this is a straight-up port of the arcade version. I don't think any of the other home ports at the time featured the extra three islands (Fairyland Story, Darius and Bubble Bobble).

  • Thanks 4 up!

    I love this song.

  • this is the BEST version from console

  • lol bobby then it before it says end of the ending it looks ike megaman looking at protoman from megaman 3 and wily getting away and on this it was just a rainbow lol.

  • I have played this version of the game, glad they used redbook audio for the music and sound effects, very true to the arcade, even if it isn't quite arcade perfect.

  • If it had co-op then it would be been virtually a perfect port.
