I sing bass, but I think the Alto part is what I listen most for, its a wonderful line of music I appreciate the strong alto here. It is fun to stick those pedal notes though, and I'm always grateful for the literature that allows for expressing them. .
@mailmanjim57 I have to agree with you. It has been said that the altos are the border collies of a choir - the herd goes where they direct. But one has to love the deep "Russian" basso profundo. This is a wonderful work!
Very nicely done! I hear an alto occasionally sticking out a bit, but overall, just lovely. One of my absolute favorite choral memories, especially as a 2nd Bass, with those veeeeeery low notes!
