thanks for your help, I found out that converting to 720p AVI with xvid at 24fps 2600 bitrate works really well for me. I like shooting at 720, much more smoother
how did you upload this video to youtube while not losing any quality? I have a t3i shoot at 1080p 24fps and upload to youtube as .mov. But it looks like the video loses quality. help please?
@wwfera00 I did the same...sure you're exporting at 100% quality in the render settings? Altho I don't think your video has lost any more quality than mine :]
@PeterWilliam10 assuming you are using Final Cut Pro, export using Quicktime conversion, then select "Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ)" keep the quality at 100%, and you wont lose any quality
@wwfera00 Try h264 because if you upload a mov itll be compressed again to work with youtube. most nle softare has a preset for youtube now, try taking a look at that
@wwfera00 It's all part of your export settings. Make sure that you're selecting something that's high quality (.mov does not count as such a file) and that your bitrate is somewhere over 10 Mb/S. That should help out.
it would be better if you didnt show the camera in that mirrow and put the ring on (damn I sound like beyonce..) on the very last shot for more drama (guy wearing a suit, glasses and the baaaam ring with a skull).
@PeterWilliam10 I think he meant your picture style. But if you didn't mess with it, it should have been on standard, to answer @flyingcloudprod 's question
it looks brilliant!! I also use a canon 550D and I've been trying to get this kind of effect.. which program do you recommend for an amateur director?
@muraguilles Cheers...the lens has a lot to do with it, I would recommend the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens which cost £89. I also cropped the footage to make it more like a 1:2.35 ratio and colour corrected slightly all in After Effects, which is my personal preference :)
Hey which lens is better: the 50mm f1.8 or the 18-135?

Shallow DOF spam. Movies are usually shot at F/4-F5.6, many seek even deeper DOF.
Use shallow with caution.
