  • Hey which lens is better: the 50mm f1.8 or the 18-135?

  • cool!

  • very nice

  • phantom's day off !!

    @ the ring!!

  • your name is peter and you look like peter parker..ha

  • yeah geat job

  • Your ring is retarded. That is all.

  • can someone help me.. when you have filmed with a DSLR.. what format do you get? i get a mp4 from mine and it looks a bit bad in quality

  • How did you get done the selective focus like that on video? :o which aperture did u use?

  • yeah! gr8 nice ring

  • @LLCARMY

thanks for your help, I found out that converting to 720p AVI with xvid at 24fps 2600 bitrate works really well for me. I like shooting at 720, much more smoother

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • I LOVE SO MUCH THE 50MM 1.8 II....

  • how did you upload this video to youtube while not losing any quality? I have a t3i shoot at 1080p 24fps and upload to youtube as .mov. But it looks like the video loses quality. help please?

  • @wwfera00 I did the same...sure you're exporting at 100% quality in the render settings? Altho I don't think your video has lost any more quality than mine :]

  • @PeterWilliam10 assuming you are using Final Cut Pro, export using Quicktime conversion, then select "Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ)" keep the quality at 100%, and you wont lose any quality

  • @wwfera00 upload to vimeo instead :P

  • @wwfera00 Try h264 because if you upload a mov itll be compressed again to work with youtube. most nle softare has a preset for youtube now, try taking a look at that

  • @wwfera00 It's all part of your export settings. Make sure that you're selecting something that's high quality (.mov does not count as such a file) and that your bitrate is somewhere over 10 Mb/S. That should help out.

  • it would be better if you didnt show the camera in that mirrow and put the ring on (damn I sound like beyonce..) on the very last shot for more drama (guy wearing a suit, glasses and the baaaam ring with a skull).

  • DEAR SANTA

  • What did you have your camera set on? Standard or something else.

I like your work and am subscribing.

    Thanks

  • @flyingcloudprod Did nothing special with camera settings, the lens makes all the difference to the depth of field. Thanks very much

  • @PeterWilliam10 I think he meant your picture style. But if you didn't mess with it, it should have been on standard, to answer @flyingcloudprod 's question

  • @PeterWilliam10 I reckon what he means is what picture still you used.

  • looks good

  • you should whip ur glasses before putting on ur ring :D

  • cool! :)

  • So excited to get this lens in about a week :) This is beautifully made.

  • Shallow DOF spam. Movies are usually shot at F/4-F5.6, many seek even deeper DOF.

    Use shallow with caution.

  • :)

Though I do not go in for filming yet, I enjoyed watching your work. It looks professional.

  • Great Video!

  • looks like a hollywood movie

  • @madcowmenton looks like todays Hollywood movies

  • Just picked up a 40d and plan to use my t2i for video. I see a lot of fabulous t2i work here on youtube. Well done.

  • This is very nicely done - unbelievable it's on a 550D. Well done.

  • iii waaannnt iiiitttt :(

  • it looks brilliant!! I also use a canon 550D and I've been trying to get this kind of effect.. which program do you recommend for an amateur director?

  • @muraguilles Cheers...the lens has a lot to do with it, I would recommend the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens which cost £89. I also cropped the footage to make it more like a 1:2.35 ratio and colour corrected slightly all in After Effects, which is my personal preference :)

  • @PeterWilliam10 exactly Same thing I use.
