If it's from a home with people who live clean lifestyles, they probably would have noticed this and cleaned it. No doubt some of it is from the cigarette smoke, but most of it definetely has to be dust.
I have done this work for 30 years and have seen 2 types of cigarette smoker damage. One is a shiny brown lacquer that covers everything. The second looks like this. The tar in the smoke combines with dust and collects on all the statically charged devices in the set. This 'dust' reeks of cigarettes and is sticky to the touch unlike 'normal' dust. This is just as nasty and filthy as any other smoker residue. This is more visually moving than the first type but just as telling.
Couldn't it be cigarette residue clinging to dust that is already there? Either way, it's quite disgusting. I'm just not exactly ready to believe you whole-heartedly that this is 100% cigarette residue, I'd need more proof.
yeah smoking is awful, i took one drag off a cigarette a few weeks ago and i will never do it again, a bunch of my friends do it so i thought it would not be too bad to take one drag off a cig. It tasted horrible and coughed a lot for about a half hour straight, it sucked.
This was EXCELLENT. The tv bit was a shock. I never smoked because growing up I had to put up with my parent's smoke...and I got sick of it. Glad you stopped smoking. :)
Thanks, this version is the unrated version. I have seen worse than this. Some that don't have dust will actually have a lacquer covering everything sticky and nasty. Ew. I can't believe I smoked as long as I did!
I'm 20 and I don't smoke...there was never an appeal to me and plus in this day and age there's so much around to let you know that it isn't worth it in the end but I have to say this demonstration is a first, thanks for the video!
I think Twain said "...quiting smoking is easy. I do it all the time" I quit 3 times before it stuck. The second time I was off it for 5 years. Yeah I know....
I use to work for a local ISP. People, from time to time, would bring their computer it to be worked on and you can always tell who smoked; the smell was baked into the motherboard.
I smoke....I don't just smoke, I smoke cigars. Quitting is extremely hard....I've tried several times already.
Besides, I've seen the amount of dirt found in a computer in a smoke-free office. Even outside of smoking, its amazing how much junk we put in our bodies by the very act of breathing.
It's amazing how much crap is thrown up into the air near an interstate highway. This has nothing on that. The particulates from tobacco are much finer and more damaging...
I stopped smoking a year ago, 3 days ago I started again, I thought I could handle just one, well it did not work out :-(
Proud of you!

I've tried to quit a number of times and it's very hard. Yes, it's a nasty habit...and a hard one to kick.
You got your point across. LOL
