Where was the Chitty Car kept? because i saw it London but they stored underneath the stage and it doesnt show Chitty being stored in this video so was it placed in the wings or hung from the ceiling? thanks
truely fantastic, went to wolverhampton grand,if you have'nt seen it you must go big and bright and chitty the car was amazing, thanks to everyone in the show it was brillllllllllllllllllllllllliant.
I went to see chitty on the 16 th of december at the edingbrough playhouse and it was fantastic
the bits that i enjoyed the most was when chitty floated i was at the edge of my seat and when she flew but when i first saw the car in all her glory i gasped in delight because she looked so wonderful
But if i had the chance, this is the show that i really want to be in
Hi there, This is the professional tour of the production straight from the West End. It is possible that some of the sets have been slightly reduced due to spacial issues.
Hi, I've check with our tech department, and the red line is the advance bar for our house speaker system. However as Chitty comp brought their own speakers, ours were not needed and removed from the advance bar which was then left half flown in until the last day. Hope this helps and makes sense.
Im with a theatre group that are currently producing chitty chitty bang bang. We have roughly exactly the same set to the UK tour. They cut a lot of set pieces out from the london stage just to save space and travelling etc. The only thing we dont have is the mechanical arm, we have something very similar but no where near as expensive. and i dont see any red lines on the deck?

It took 18 x 45 foot articulated trailers, 36 people doing 12 hours per day, 14 days (a total of 7168 man hours)to build the stage ready for the arrival of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Here's a small insight to how it all came together

@gags24601 Luckly space was not a problem, as Chitty can fly!! So storage was not a problem. Theatre is all about the magic.
