I actually think its a wonderful design. The curves, the size, the headlights, everything! Its very different and its something I would buy. It something you dont see everyday...you know what I mean? Its not ugly, its different, in a spectacular way!
I like it. For the price range and new fresh design, it'll give other manufacturers some competition. Even though most people will go for "Proven" and "Conventional" design, Juke gives younger and young at heart drivers some excitement to hit the road again.
A+ for Nissan to bring their new daring design to the public.
Is "Daring design " polite for UGLY? Nissan used to have nice designs but they screwd up with their new Z series, inside is pure cheap plastic, has anybody ever seen the NISSAN CUBE? I don't want them to change the design , just change the name to NISSAN PUKE,only nissan design that has impproved over the original one is the ALTIMA,Iused to call it UGLYma but it looks much better than the original design.
I'm not bashing Nissan only, most new cars look alike and UGLY, I think it's the public's fault , people don't have an eye for automotive design anymore , anything with 4 wheels and an Ipod connection is concidered art, plus I think many stupid car designers came from pasadena art institutein clifornia, the new car designers should be designing woman's clothing or kitchen apliances, leave the car design to people who know cars, not people who think they know cars.
The Juke is different - not ugly. It certainly needs some time to get used to it, but the car is not that bad in real. Taste is always a personal thing, but I am happy that there are still companies like Nissan around, who risk something. VW and Audi are perfect examples for a boring car design language (not bad, just boring). I personally would not want to buy the Juke, but it's at least not a car everyone likes.
@BehMWeh I'd rather be in this car compared to something like a 98 accord. I prefer hard lines, but I'd rather be hard-soft, than totally soft like a 98 accord.
it's unfotunate that most new cars look more like a disneyland ride than a real car, I don't understand whats the idea behind this ugly ugly cars, is UGLY now he new Pretty? I rather drivea 90s BMW than a new of these cars, these cars are not efficient they are just lighter , made out of plastic,, one accident and you end up changing tons of plastic parts, and they become totaled much faster than older cars, in the long run they are not even eco friendly.
@BehMWeh You're right, there's something about this car, it's like a yellow paint jobm kind of obnoxious... Sales say it's doing well though, so expect more.
@BehMWeh I understand your argument about have many plastic parts. The engineers design newer cars that way is to absorb the impact energy in an accident so it won't transfer to the passengers, hence a safer car.
Anyone would want their cars totaled than to have themselves totaled.
it's funny how hes trying to justify the ugly look of this car,
go try to fix the transsmission problems that they dont stop at 30kmiles, i don't know who died and made these guys designers , did they work for Maytag before?
Um... Honestly, it's not my cup of tea, but for the money, it's a good car. I'd rather just get a single cab short bed pickup for the same amount of money.

"wanted to see how far we can push the boundary of adventurous design".
You obviously crossed that limit, so please go back and have another look for it - and make sure to settle down on the right side of fugly the next time. A torrent of fancy words (i.e. BS) such as in this video does not make the car pretty.
@fishatgolden wow, that's a misinformed opinion. It's always good to know designer's intent as well as objectives of concept to fully appreciate the end-product.
Any 5th grader with a french curve can 'design' a DeLorean or Corvette which has the most simplistic objective of "looks good."
If you're going to give your opinion on an industry, do some research instead of going on an inexperienced "hunch."
@JasonERF Hey, I dont think the Juke is as bad looking as the Aztec, the Aztec is straight up ugly. This car would be pretty cool if it wasnt for the headlights, that is the part i dont like. The tail lights look like the ones from the 370 Z and the interior is awesome.
its a no brainer for nissan to put the 1.6T in the upcoming Versa, Cube and maybe the sentra. im just hoping they do a 2.0T/2.2T for the SpecV sentra B17. along with a short chassis that keeps the car low on ground! please NISSAN PLEASE! i am the hardcore'st fan you'll ever find!
@tobearockstar0706 they've always been all about what makes money, but now they are concerned with EPA and CARB regulations, why do you think nissan went with a brand new Direct injection 1.6T and not the typical 2.5 I4 or the VQ? DIG is the way to go from now on, better VE which means a better and cleaner burn. all about emissions my friend!
IT WAS INTENDED FOR GUYS WHO DRIVE SPORTS BIKES AND SNOWBOARD ?

At 2:54 you can see the reflection of a car in the parking lot of the Nissan Design Center -- not a Nissan. Whoops.
