I have a eight year old son with down syndrome and I am truly inspired as to him being able to live a good life after I am gone. You are amazing Luke. My grandson also has down syndrome and are very high functioning. I wish they had someone like you to teach them.

My sister is very similar to Luke. She doesn't have down syndrome, but she has a form of autism that puts her at about the same functioning level. I constantly worry that she won't be able to ever be independent and that I'll always have to look out for her. However, seeing Luke do these things by himself give me so much hope that I'm not going to have to see my sister as someone to look after, but as someone who is just someone close to me that can have their own life.
