Easily one of the greatest games I have ever played. Not too easy, not too challenging. Awesome crazy adventure to ridiculous places, something I've always been looking for, and a great emotional blend. At the start, you feel powerful being part of a great army, with an inspirational speech from the chairman, and then it spirals downhill from there. And the soundtrack captures it all perfectly. 10/10

The First game in the series that I played was GoW2 and playing the story and seeing how fluid the story characters and gameplay coincided, made me want to go and try the first one. The story i believed was amazing in the second game was overun by the first's campaign! Gears became my absolute favorite game series hands down...

This is not only my favourite piece of music to come from a video game but definately in my top 5 favourites of all time. Summarises the story so perfectly in a peculiar way - by this I mean a raw gritty determination to carry despite all that has happened. The piece at 1.35 I find deeply saddening for some reason, it just feels like inevitability has struck again. Still, goosebumps all around! Epic, and excellent when trying to finish seminar work due in for 3 days ago!

This and L4D are the only reason I keep my xbox.

I also realized that if you guys have ever played uncharted for PS3 the gameplay is a lot like gears except you can climb shit and its less gory. Gears is way more badass.
