  • What if my camera doesn't have a shoe

  • @AddictingVideos4U then you'll need the pistol grip

  • can u use it for EOS550D

  • I just got the videomic pro and it's really good for its size. Plugged into my M-Audio microtrack ii recorder, it just sounds amazing. A very simple way to record high quality sound. I have never tried the Rode straight into my cam though. I prefer to have both soundtracks to mess with.

  • epic review!

  • In short, even if using magic lantern and an external mic, does an external sound recorder such as Zoom H1 give you better material to work with in postproduction? I've searched the web for days without finding a any info on the differences of quality in using external mic + magiclantern vs. Zoom H1 (or H4). Anyone tried?

  • @MrHofda You are always going to get better quality with 2nd system sound because the recorders have better pres, and you can record in 24bit, which gives you more headroom - allowing you to record at a lower level, which is safer for clipping protection. Still you can get a dectnt sound with this mic going straight into a T21 with ML. Set the mic to 20db boost (that's key) and the ML set to 10db analog gain. Check my videos with all these settings. I have one using a JuicedLink mixer too.

  • at 3:32 when the Rode VMP windjammer comes off what is that white plastic looking tube? is that a shotgun mic ?

  • is this mic has stereo plug?

  • @oyapon
