I remember reading the article recently on how contests affect street skaters. After reading it, i can definently say that it negatively hurts the skater mentally. Im almost positive that this kid loves skating, but with the contests he goes into, you can tell hes not skating for fun, he's just skating to be the best. I mean look how it affects him if he doesn't win/misses a trick, looks like he dies alittle. In conclusion, i hope that nyjah puts a hold on contests and remembers why he started.
