Following the idea of my previous comment, if there thing you cannot proof or disprof with logic, and if you dont know which of these things are, then scientifically if you state "God does not exist and that is 100% truth" then you are distorting science itself and you are lying in order to support your point of view. The maximum that science can say is "God is not likely to exist".

I like the sentiment but the message is a bit naive. Thoughts and ideas and beliefs DO change reality. They are the only things that do! Fairytales inspire kids to grow up and myth, whether personal or cultural is the language through which we experience meaning in our lives and ultimately make decisions. Yes the cosmological function of religion has been superseded by science but the unconscious mind will always find a way to be heard even if we don't like what it says. It pays to listen to it.

Buddhism is a prophecy of the "Meaning of Life" and nature that actually exists on this earth, not some story way up beyond the universe. is absolutely rediculous. My older brother was born Mentally Retarded. My sister died in the womb and nearly killed my mother. The list goes on. But that happened because THOSE THINGS HAPPEN, not because it was the will of God. He didn't sign any decree saying that my little sister needed to die or that my brother would have significant disabilities, but instead mourns at every loss we feel. And just as a side note my brother lives in a happier state of mind than most of the people I know.

I believe that is why he equipped us with such powerful organic computers - to discover the mysteries which are clear to him but take us longer to figure out. This argument of God isn't the God he says he is if he LETS horrible things happen, etc.
