Okay, in the console you don't have to worry about your video card, space, etc. But on the PC you can install mods, wich really extend the game's ''life span'' for a huge period of time, shooters and RPG's have smoother controls, aim and require a lot more of reaction and concentration. PC is a great platform, but some people (like you) can't see it. Not saying that it's the best platform, but is a really good one, like X360 and PS3. And i have an good old 360.

People who think that console games, or even consoles for that matter, are better than PC games and PC's clearly have no idea what they're talking about. I have both. Console games are LITERALLY DUMBED DOWN for consoles and console players. They're great for casual games that don't require a lot of tactics or thinking. PC games tend to be much more technical, tactical, and realistic.
You may THINK CoD or BC2 require tactics, but you've obviously never played Arma or Project Reality on PC.
Lol, the ole' tactics debate rears it's ugly head again! Tactics are required for just about every shooter out there. Are you a lone run-and-gunner? There are tactics you will use to make sure you dominate the boards. The thing that sets ArmA apart from the rest are the increased options for how to deploy tactics. I agree that console games are dumbed down for mass appeal. I wouldn't imply that console games require no tactics though.
Depends on how deep you get into the game. The ArmA series requires careful, calculated tactics. In BFBC2 you have to use split second tactics that can make or break a match in minutes. If you're good at using all of your assets to your advantage you can actually apply similar tactics in either game. You could say that tactics are more plentiful for ArmA 2, if you include the whole process of moving all assets to an AO. That shit can get tricky.
@Quebster I tried to play the demo years ago but my PC at that time and was slow. These are the games you cannot just run and jump around shooting enemies at random. This is like real stuff, you get shot, go to ground and get cover. Coordinate with your team next strategy and attack if possible. You will not be able to see the enemies sometimes, just the bullets. Is a camping paradise.

I do understand as far as controls that whatever you're used to is going to be easier,but I've gotten used to both (again, I do still play an Xbox). I agree that the controls are simpler on an xbox or PS3, but I also find that I don't have as much control as I would like. Fewer buttons = fewer actions. And I also find the keyboard & mouse to be MUCH more accurate. What you said about tactics, the servers, and communicating is simply not true.

It was extremely limited, and feels arcade compared to all of it's predecessors (1942 - 2142) However, the PR total conversion mod for BF2 and even the vanilla Arma make THOSE games feel arcade. So, in other words,Bad Company and CoD are shit compared to PR and Arma if you like teamwork,tactics etc.

If this were to be ported to consoles the graphics would have to be lowerd multiple levels just for it to be playable. What most people dont understand is the fact that consoles are outdated when they first come out, its just something to play games on and not stress. @IGNsucks I said a more superior computer would be cheaper yes, as long as you dont aim for top of the line products your PC will still be amazing trust me. Truthfully the video adapters that both the xbox and playstation use these days would NOT run this game. The main CPU on them would not be enough to booster performance to run it either, there would have to be serious changes with the game for this to happen.

@IGNsucks To me crysis 2 is a pandoras box, something to finally utilize the new tech. we have YET to see a PC gameplay trailer or anything of the sort, seeing as this build began on DX11, its a PC port and had to be dumbed down for consoles. if you havnt heard, something like this hit the PS3's computing limits, and seeing all the trailers from console, graphics look very low to low at best. I can betcha they wont do a PC trailer yet just so we wont be so jaw-dropped lol.

Anyways I just hate it when i have to upgrade, which is why i hate PC's. I like consoles cause for a few years thats all you need and you can focus on games. I still have many PC exclusives im waiting to play, cause i usually upgrade every 5 years. then of course theres the whole annoyance you can have sometimes which just trying to get it to run.
@IGNsucks ive never had many problems, i paid 400$ but if u upgrade your video card every couple years thats only a little over a hundred. Like i said if u dont go top of the line its a money saver. RAM, power supply and CPU however is something else. and dont get me started on hard drives, it all depends what your looking for too but for every couple years and perhaps 500$ as a limit you will remain a happy camper :)

It simulates combat.... Mainly it has more freemovement and you have to let your guy do things if you select the option.
EX1: MW2 to pick up a gun (Xbox) you hold x and it pops into your guys hand and he brings it up
ARMA 2 to pickup a weapon your guy drops his gun, bends down, grabs the gun, and you bring it back up.
EX2: ARMA 2 you can search bodies for weapons etc
EX3: the movement, you can lean left or right in ARMA 2 but not in MW2

If this were to be ported to consoles the graphics would have to be lowerd multiple levels just for it to be playable. What most people dont understand is the fact that consoles are outdated when they first come out, its just something to play games on and not stress. Dont get me wrong i love consoles but i hate it when people say they are better graphically when it is deffinately not. It is cheeper to get a more supperior computer but most people dont want to go through that. My 2 cents.

@IGNsucks I said a more superior computer would be cheaper yes, as long as you dont aim for top of the line products your PC will still be amazing trust me. Truthfully the video adapters that both the xbox and playstation use these days would NOT run this game. The main CPU on them would not be enough to booster performance to run it either, there would have to be serious changes with the game for this to happen.

I mean dont get me wrong PC games will look better but to say that this wouldnt run period is bullshit. Ill give you an example, Crysis. 3 years ago they said it wouldnt run on the consoles but now we have Crysis 2. And IMO Crysis 2 on consoles looks better then Crysis 1. But the hardware is the same, so what changed? nothing.

If someone likes good graphics then I can understand but personally I play a lot of games and If i cared about that shit I would never be able to pay for anything cause I would have to constantly update my PC. I mean its not like console games look like shit, they're gorgeous. I dont need to be able to see the hair on my character move in order to enjoy a game.

@IGNsucks To me crysis 2 is a pandoras box, something to finally utilize the new tech. we have YET to see a PC gameplay trailer or anything of the sort, seeing as this build began on DX11, its a PC port and had to be dumbed down for consoles. if you havnt heard, something like this hit the PS3's computing limits, and seeing all the trailers from console, graphics look very low to low at best. I can betcha they wont do a PC trailer yet just so we wont be so jaw-dropped lol.

Its really only a niche market that will actually play the game on max settings. i mean look at starcraft and Wow they try to optimize it so that it can work on as many computers a possible.

I never really got the PC market until I met a friend who was a hardcore PC fan and for him hes really not a gamer, if a game is on a console he wont play it. his joy comes out of building his PC and the way he shows that off is by running high res games. thats fine but for someone who doesnt give two fucks about cpu and dual quad cores, I only care about games.

@thephoenix134 ive know you can get one for about 700$ but the problem with that is that is that its still more then a 299 console. Anyways I just hate it when i have to upgrade, which is why i hate PC's. I like consoles cause for a few years thats all you need and you can focus on games. I still have many PC exclusives im waiting to play, cause i usually upgrade every 5 years. then of course theres the whole annoyance you can have sometimes which just trying to get it to run.

@IGNsucks ive never had many problems, i paid 400$ but if u upgrade your video card every couple years thats only a little over a hundred. Like i said if u dont go top of the line its a money saver. RAM, power supply and CPU however is something else. and dont get me started on hard drives, it all depends what your looking for too but for every couple years and perhaps 500$ as a limit you will remain a happy camper :)

ArmA 2 will be released in spring 2010 for xbox 360. 2010. Well what can I say about 2010 ? Just search these 3 words : ps3 2010 exclusives .
