Reading from Bob Katz of this process for the first time... Couldn't quite understand it... You laid in a great perspective as so mortal man to understand it without using hightech analog compressors. :D
Parallel compression is a mastering tool, meant for your final mix or your mix down. If your in a situation where you are needing to use it on a Synth - you could pull it off - but it's more of an overall dressing tool. For me anyways, and some of the guys I have worked with. But hey, id rather you pump volume out with compression - the use a limiter right away - which is what is causing this audio diareah we hear on beatport.

@funkocoriko in track A he had a stereo left, right track then he duplicated it in track B . your right tho

This is good, but what about parallel comp, on midi, i mean on vst instruments not audio, do you still have to worry about phase problems ?
