  • After seeing this I'll start saying "let's go before a helmet hits the jet engine" and whatnot. RIP helmet.

  • "Take a look at this amazing video..." of a man dying a quick, but horrible death.

    :/

  • @M4rkh0lm um he lived

  • he survived...the fireball that got thrown out of the turbine was his helmet

  • just saw this on tv, wanted to see it again. its crazy!!

  • doesnt the compressor at the beggining of the jet engine have several rows of stator vanes with revolving vanes spinning in between those with clearances of about 1/16th of an inch to move the air towards the ingnition section of the engine. How did he get through there. maybe fighters planes have less moving parts in the engine.

  • interview:

presenter: so, how did it feel?

    man: it sucks

  • press the number 5 nd ull c something that you dont to expect to c here

  • It's not fake....The thing tht looks like cloth....yeahh well thts his head....and thank god he survived.

  • he defiantly shit himself

  • I hate when that happens... ruins my day.

  • He probably Cum on his pants when he realize he was alive lol

  • He's probably Chuck Norris, ya know.

  • @GraeSkiesSiastra nothing close to Chucky Norris lol

  • all i can say is, Nom Nom Nom!

  • Napalm standing b...hold on a guy got sucked in to the engine.

  • HE LIVED!

  • sucks to be that guy

  • Comment removed

  • How the fuck did he live through that?

  • I got sucked at the back of a plane once. A flight I'll never forget.

  • @haircutbob2 he came out NAKED!!!!

  • I just talked to a man who was on the fireball end of the intake. He said the only reason he lived was because his arm snagged on a flap inside the intake, and stopped his legs from hitting the blades with a few inches to spare, and came out with a broken collar bone. And the fireball was just from his jumpsuit and headgear.

  • worst day ever....

  • his helmet saved him it would have cut him but his helmet screwed the blade in the engine up

  • AHAUHAUHAUHAUHAHUAHUAHHUA

  • HOLY SHIT OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT THE FUCKIMAFACE HE JUST WENT DOWN AN AIR INTAKE AND SURVIVED HE MUST BE CHUCK NORRIS'S CHILD OR SOMETHING

  • how the hell do you live through that

  • @drummerdudex017 I just talked to a man who was on the fireball end of the intake. He said the only reason he lived was because his arm snagged on a flap inside the intake, and stopped his legs from hitting the blades with a few inches to spare, and came out with a broken collar bone. And the fireball was just from his jumpsuit and headgear.

  • Jet hungry!

    Nom nom nom!

  • he later was denied workers compensation for his injuries.

  • that commentator is so thick he is saying the story wrong

  • any 1 else hear a SWOOSH

  • This guy.........is Chuck Norris' cousin who is an air mechanic.

  • haha, just like a cartoon, he just wears some bandages.

  • I know what happened. He got sucked in and he was lucky the intake wasn't immediately there because otherwise he would have been saved. His helmet broke off and got sucked in andhe got his life saved. However he was probably deaf after that.

  • fake.............

  • @swaich1 no it's not

  • @swaich1 No, not a fake. This is a video I was shown in 1991 during USAF F-16 Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist (Crew Chief) school then later again in 1994 when I was in USAF JSUPT as a warning on why you don't get near an intake. On a carrier, the A-7 had one of the worst reputations for sucking people in because of it's low-slung intake, followed closely by the A6 above. If you sealed the room, an F-16 could suck all of the air out of your average high school gym in a few seconds.

  • @swaich1 how is it fake. Fuck'n retard

  • Man - 'Hey jet, you're a douche'

Jet - 'Come here and say that'

    The moral of the story?

Don't fuck with a jet of course.

  • Jet engine: "Fucking Lag >8-["

  • I hate Intruders!

  • Ever such a lucky man. I wish people would take safety more seriously at times.

  • 0:34 - What did ya learn??

  • He survived and his helmet saved him

  • it is true that man survived

  • He was cut in 12.000 pieces by turbine, but a genius surgeon stitched him back together.

  • But he survives HAZAR

  • Comment removed

  • it was like he was a ragdoll just how his body turned tooothpick skinny and the way it bent

  • Not fake. It was all over the news at the time. Jet draw in huge amounts of air even at idle. That's why these plane have warning signs all of the intake area. But, all it takes is a moment of inattention. He is very lucky to have survived, His Kevlar helmet is credited for saving his live.

  • i remember watchin tht on TEVEE

  • This was on 1,000 ways to die

  • wtf...

  • How is that possible for him to survive? Now he knows what the inside of an airplane engine looks like, but saw it the hard way.

  • omg he survives? but how!?

  • @SQIRT25 his helmet fucked the blades up before his body.

  • @alaskanhuskeee92 i guess that makes sense. But the amount of pain he must have gone through in there i would have just wanted to die D:

  • pilot must of throttled to max for anything like that to happen

  • woah wtf

  • W...T...F!!! I am literally jaw dropped. I have seen some incredible videos before but this was...how in the hell does someone live through that?!? That is a story to tell the grand kids, and if they don't believe you, you got proof.

  • Comment removed

  • This is really horrific !!!

  • I NEVER find anyone getting hurt funny but the first time I watched this I laughed HARD!

    Lord have mercy on him.

  • well that sucked

  • He had a reputation for having his helmit loose. So his helmit flew off and jammed the engine. He was fine. (Saw it on "worlds most amazing vidios 2")

  • Hes one lucky SOB

  • WTF !....this has to be bullshit !

  • @ronnied828 ITs not... Thats some scary shit right there!

  • i don't think someone could survive that.. even if there wasn't a engine there.. to be sucked through that tiny hole at that speed.. no way!

  • I thought it's going to be biggest and most powerfull meat blender...

    Thanx God he's alive...

  • Now that guy *kinda* knows what it's like to be sucked into a black hole.

Also, I wonder if this incident inspired that scene from Season 1 of "LOST" where the crash survivor gets sucked into the jet engine.

And I call bullshit on that crewman surviving being passed thru a jet engine.

  • hes very lucky for typing iddqd before

  • wha-ha-ha!!

  • that is crazy but it looked like the engine was a little kids mouth and he was a piece of spagetti.

  • he's alive but the fucking luckiest man on earth. HIs helmet came off and hit the engine rotors to make them blowup just before his head reached them.

  • His thoughts: "Ouch! That sucked!"

  • FFAARRRKKK!

  • and he's alive!!! thats incredible...

  • God, and I thought birdstrike was a problem

  • cannot believe he survived

  • holy crap it looked like he turned into a ghost and destroyed the engine

  • Oh and im shore you'ed look like a ragdoll if you had just been sucked into a jet enginE! LOL

  • abseiduk,

I have seen this on various television programs and it is definately real. it was his hard hat that caused the turbine to cut out. thanks!

  • Correct.

  • something dont seem right about this video!!! the action of the people arround the guy who got sucked int the jet. i think its a fake supported by government officials. further more check the right before the man is taken into the ject it apears as if its just some clothes no person inside.

  • Very real indeed. I worked on the deck of a carrier. You cannot imagine the power of those jet engines till you have been there. Thankfully, I have never been around when someone got sucked in an intake, but I have met those who have. This video is exactly how they describe it. The victim was sucked up like a rag doll.

  • This video is indeed real, it was all over the news.

SptifireAce got the explanation right, thank goodness he was wearing the helmet.

It was even on World's most amazing videos.

Hey, sometimes reality just surpases fiction and knees it right on the groin (?)

  • im watching this on against the elements right now

  • lol get a bath hahaha not possiable

  • the man was really sucked in to the jet intake, it's not fake. He survived because he got stuck in the jet intake and his helmet was sucked of and destroyed the engine, taking the sucking power away.

    srry for my bad english

  • I don't know enough about jet engines obviously... How the FUCK did he survive??????????????

  • isnt that helping the engine then?

  • The sucking power seems to warp his entire body like a black hole or something...

  • @leeham991 That's exactly what it looks like man, it's fucking crazy!

  • @leeham991 I know that freaked me the hell out.

  • thats a clear sign for the believing, when your death is destined, you will die.

  • Comment removed

  • what a hard guy you are, we are proud of you

  • watch his body, it just gets sucked in like it was made of cloth o-o (not saying this is fake, but its just so strange looking)

  • sorry my bad

  • he got sucked into it and his helmet jammed the engine, so he didn't die, at least that's what i heard on "worlds most amazing videos" tv show.

  • yeah heard that too

  • I think he set a new word's record for the most brown stuff dumped into underwear.

  • Buxtor, I have read all about it, and I know exactly what happened, so there for, I could also said that I knew this guy too :p

  • yes he lived. he was the blonde one. close friend of mine. ask me and i'll tell you all about it. i was there.

  • you are a geek

  • LMAO the one with all the bandages?

  • Right, when did this happen?

  • when it shows guys at end which one was he lol

  • No way this guy lived!

  • I haven't been sucked off that hard since I stayed the night with Michael Jackson.

  • ouch... i suprised he lived after that...

  • His name is Chuck Norris, folks...

  • hahahah lol

  • from what documentary is this ?

  • 2nd birthday for him

  • holy shit, this guy's a champ!!!

  • OMNOMNOMNOM

  • nah isnt fake, its been on the news and several programs on Nat Geo etc.

  • This is real. It was in 1991, during Desert Storm Operations.

But the sound was edited. The helmet protected his head.

  • saved his head lol...helmet helped jam and shut off the engine

  • Couldn't have been in 1991 it's black and white the world turned color around 1950 or so.

  • The first colored video I saw was filmed in 1919, a British parade in Paris, celebrating one year the end of war.

If you don't believe it's 1991, look at the top of the video and you will see "02-20-91", which means "February 20th, 1991" :)

Just because colored movies are available nothing forbids the use of black and white movies. Haven't you seen those security cameras?

  • U idiot color video cams don't work in the dark duh! Its O negitive a type of video that allows u to see in the dark...like night vision gogles

  • CALVIN AND HOBBES you idiots.

  • noooooo wayyyy my dad was born in 1951 and they were still listening to radio back then and my mom was born in 1962 and they still had black and white

  • THAT GUY FUCKING LIVED

  • his helmet was loose and jammed the fins yha I just saw it on TV so thanks for posting, that is one rid from hell :O

  • A-6 intruder

  • Not fake.. sound effects are. I was on this ship when this happened. The shop that recorded this vid was right across the hall from me. Desert storm launches. Read vid. 71= Roosevelt 20 Knots of wind, date and time. Flashing F = foul landing deck. His flashlight damaged the engine then pilot quickly shut engine down. On longer vid you can see that no one even noticed he was sucked in cuz he was an extra body on the cat.

  • I love the sound effect they use.

  • ya its like zioooup

  • The homme à been in par the tools which it carried on him, which broke Visa slave away, allowing him to survive. (They see that the motor blows up BEFORE the man is indoors)

  • It is true. I served on the ship on which this occurred. It has happened before as well, but with death as the final result. The amazing part isn't that it happened, but that he survived. The Navy is not as safe as people may think. Just because they aren't out getting shot at, doesn't mean they don't get killed, or that there are not associated risks.

  • cannot possibly be true

  • fake?

  • nope file footage

  • it looks fake because of how he gets sucked in sort of

  • your rite. it seems like it is to rag-dollish

  • Its 100% real...with that much air getting sucked in at that fast it will turn any man into a rag doll!

  • i totally agree. 100% real
