  • I bought one a few years ago and still have it and it works perfectly this chap must have been unlucky

    Lee x

  • 1:15-1:22 No. It's called Sex...

  • @Masteracci thats funny

  • Dang bro I bought that same one.

  • Bought the same cable, and it works fine with my PSR-E223/YPT-220 and Logic Pro... People must be buying from a bad batch of cables. :\

  • Is anyone running their keyboard of the mains? If you are running the midi keyboard of this cable and the power from the pc then this might be why it is lagging? Just a thought ;)

  • My simple thoughts.... In goes to in, out to out. Nope. Searchin 2,5 hours to a solution, and i came to this simple video, he explains.... Thanks. If I will ever become a famous producer, i'll thank you

  • wast of money wht i did was buy midi control at a pawn shop for 40. bucks and guess wht plug and play service pack 3 will give wht it needs and yea it works with fl lol and i got xbord 42 lol

  • I bought this shit and plugged it in with fl studio and it can only play one key at a time. Waste of 5 dollars

  • 1:15 thats what she said

  • I ordered one from amazon and it worked for 2 days. now the output/inputs dont even light up

  • i got mine from amazon too same one i need to run it on fl studios help me please

  • I got mine from Ebay, and I want to know if this would work with an Adagia Piano, it has a Midi In Out

  • mine doesn't work... ebay, right?

  • plz answer asap do keyboard midi to usb work on electronic drums

  • what program did u use to record? it doesn't seem to be working with my current program.

  • Thanks man, I was goin to get one too but since it lags & makes fuzzy noises then I guess I'll flag it.

  • Thank you, I was just going to buy one of this on ebay but thanks to your video and its coments, I will buy a more expensive one.

  • can someone recommend a very good MIDI to USB cable

  • wow you just teached me how to plug a wire.. good job buddy

  • How to use it request!

  • Yamaha UX16 USB MIDI all the way!

  • Faggot.

  • I just purchased two of these cables and found that I can't get them to work in FL Studio 9 on Windows Vista with older keyboards like the Korg Triton. It seems to be all but a complete waste of money.

  • traducción del español al inglés

hello friend i already connect the cable but do not know how I get my computer working on bone to set at least for use with fl studio or cubase do not know how to configure it if you tell me please

  • my laptop wont even reconize to cable anymore! its asking for the disk that came with the cables but none came with it. any help on this?

  • senn yapcan işe sokayım geri zekalı 4 dk da bi kabloyu bağlayamadın.

  • do you have to plug both in and out to the back in order for it to work? because i have a midi to usb cable with just one connector and i dunno if it's becuase it doesnt have an IN and OUT

  • This guy (the video maker) should start talking like a man.

  • @hardpeep watch a newer video btw i do so stfu

  • @TechTubeCentral: Cut your dirty nail a little bit! Looks like from a woman!

  • @hardpeep

<.< he can talk as he want

  • @hardpeep and how do you do that? Lower your voice an octave to sound grown? paleez brudda

  • @hardpeep you should start acting like one.

  • Strange, a midi cable has got nothing to do with sound, so that the cable should by itself cause sound noises would be a really weird trick...

  • @TechTubeCentral Hi! I bought a MIDI Interface/USB. Like the one you have. I already have installed it to my computer. The problem is I don't know how to record songs or piano songs like what others do. I want to record piano on my computer. Can tell me or show me how to? Please please reply. Thank you!

  • do not bother buying it its a waste of money... I recomend going to a real music store and paying 2 or 3 times as much for a better cable.. cause even tho i payed £8 for it... its £8 basically thrown down the drain...

if i spend £30 on a cable from a music store it'll be £30 well spent cause the cable will actually work....

this cable the signal lags,, so when you hit the drums theres a huge delay which basically means its useless as music has to be intime.. it also cuts off for no reason

  • @quickmantan agree 100% totally forgot about this video. I thought i put an annotation saying that i highly dislike this cable

  • @TechTubeCentral

yer i hate sellers on ebay that sell junk like this.. basically your just as well buying a piece of string with midi connections attached to it cause thats how much of a job it does...

i really really recomend this with all things,, dont buy cheap chinesee products off ebay, or anything electrical that is cheap...

always spend extra if yu cant afford top of the range, then get cheap - midrange things that are also sold in UK or US stores..

  • @TechTubeCentral tried asio4all? WORKS!!

  • @quickmantan I've had one for a while and never had a problem and only paid £4 for it.

If you have signal lag (latency) it's down to your sound card and driver not the cable.

  • @rogermsw

i own a top of the range mac book pro so i doubt it very much it has anything to do with the sound card or driver, as it works but lags, and ive gone out and purchased one from a music retail store and it works perfectly... thanks

  • That cable is complete crap, I have already tried two of them and neither worked. One worked for a few days actually then broke without being moved. Total crap.

  • In goes to out and out goes to in! man that solved my problem! thanks!

  • CAN YOU PLZ TELL ME HOW TO RECORD WITH THIS CABLE, i won this cable but i dont know how to record! btw i have the same keyboard like u

  • @hujekc id tell you but sadly mine broke! Sorry i used the software synthfont (free on windows) and plugged in the piano then i used audacity and recorded what noise my computer makes. Not the best way. I was a n00b at the time and didn't know anything good luck!

  • @hujekc I have the same issue. I bought a MIDI Interface/USB to connect my keyboard to my computer. The problem is I don't know hot record songs on my computer. Do you already know how to?

  • @hujekc you need software like ableton

  • @xlv10x troll. Hey that means you will end up working for me one day

  • @TechTubeCentral Hi man, i bought a cable similar to this but with a big problem, i want ask you to try this cable with the software MIDI-OX and tell me if the On - Off events are right compared to your actions with keyboard. Cause my cable it's fuc*ed up and it play notes in delay of one note! It is always one event behind. It only seems like it's playing the note on key release until you play more than one note.

  • @antoniogiordano1989 Then you see that it's sending the correct data but always lagging one event behind the key being pressed. Basically if you press and release C4 you only get the 'Note On' for C4. Then if you press D4 you get the 'Note Off' for C4. Then if you release D4 you get the 'Note On' for D4... and so on. Please tell me if your cable has the same problem!!! Sorry for my english!

  • mac is the best

  • @AyDro7 macs suck

  • @techtubecentral you suck for owning a windows pc.

  • @cod4madass your so lucky its christmas and I can't say anything mean. LOL Happy Holidays

  • @cod4madass

macs rule. cause i got a pro and i also have windows but only for games...

im gettign one of these cables screw paying £100 for a interface... but if it makes fuzzy noises when your recording then its pointless..

  • @AyDro7 YOUR COMPUTER IS GAY COMPARED TO MY SUPER SEXUAL TESTOSTERONE MUSIC MACHINE

  • do you know if this cable works with a midi guitar and windows 7?

  • Comment removed

  • Where can i buy a usb to midi cable?

  • Ha 1:58

  • Hey man! Can you make a negative?

  • I have a question. My midi keyboard doesn't have any midi inputs or outputs, it all runs through USB. This sucks for me because my soundcard is terrible. Could I use this cable backwards and plug the usb end into my keyboard and the Midi inputs and outputs into my audio interface??

    Thanks. :)

  • @PatDog11

    a) no, you can't

    b) even if you could, it would be useless since midi has nothing to do with the actual sound

  • great video :)

    one quick question:

does the computer realize that it's a MIDI-input or does it realize it as an USB-input?

because I'd like to use this cable to play sampled synthesizer in a sample-software called "SampleDecks" which is only able to work with midi-inputs...

I hope you can follow and answer my question :)

  • @MarvTheBassist id tell you but honestly mine broke and i don't remember but i this it is recognized as a MIDI input Google it first though

  • if you plug it into a mac it just works. and on my mac there is no buzzing sound like you said there is no scratch sound it works seemlessly with no lag and its awesome

  • Yes Please Teach The Willing

  • how about to show us how to do the setup man ! we already know how to hook that up ! , but what to do after hooking up the keyboard to the pc !

  • @AmmarVII if you have a mac, just launch garageband and start playing. if you have a pc, get some viruses and idk what else.. lol i dont know.

  • @TheJacobHolmes macs get viruses as well

  • @techtubecentral i disagree. i know there are a few viruses for mac but honestly, i dont worry about it. i'll never install anti virus on my mac, i never worry about anything. I don't care if I got a mac virus, my mac automatically backs itself up everyday so if my machine was rendered useless i could have it working again in an hour, easy. i find everyday windows users dont usually back up their systems because it takes too long and slows down their systems when its happening.

  • As far as the buzzing goes, it shouldn't carry over to the recording if your just recoding midi data for use with like a vst or something.

  • Do you know if it works with Studio One by Presonus?

  • @TheGonzaloDiaz i'm not sure hey subscribe and i have a giveaway that ends like today better hurry

  • Awesome! this helped

  • can you use it with reason

  • @mrorendoff

Just about any midi keyboard can be used with reason through usb, so I am going to say yes.

  • @ToX23in dude your a fucking genius thanx a million

  • @mrorendoff

That's a little over the top, but okay you're welcome :P

  • Hi! I have the same cable, but I have problems. When I play the notes they stay ringing and ringing, don't stop. The led is always on (blinking), even when I don't play anything is that normal? your cable have the led always blinking too? Sorry for my bad english. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • just ordered this cable!

  • @Alexmg123 great what are you using it with a synth or a piano?

  • @techtubecentral piano (casio keyboard). Im progressively getting myself into making more music with the PC. Im going to check out what I can do with the keyboard and some software like Logic Pro/FL Studio. What software do you recommend me to start off with? My idea is to make some loops, perhaps grab some beats online and try to make some kind of acid jazz music. Herbie Hancock style if you know what I mean. Try to imitate the Fender Rhodes sound as well.. who knows.. endless possibilities..

  • @Alexmg123 ok first of usually u use a syth that is hooked up to the piano and the synth is hooked up to the comptuter. I was misinformed when making this video. I was however able to use syth font when it is hooked from my keyboard to the computer. Then I tured it on played something and syth font would make the sound on the computer then i used audacity to record my computer's sound input not the best way but it works if u dont have a syth

  • Its not recording audio tracks its recording midi tracks!!!

  • @siemensserbia i know that

  • I have the exact same piano and the same MIDI USB converter. Had that piano since I was in grade school, but anyways, could you enlighten me on how to actually get my PC to recognize my piano, it's plugged in and it's installed, but I still get the background noises when I try to record. Need help asap.

  • hey techtubecentral! i bought the same USB cable and when i pluging the synth to computer (laptop windows XP) i can not install drivers [error 25001] any idea what is it? and secend question. does in and out buttons have to flick bouth or just in? becouse mine flicking only "in"

  • @Granini400 sorry i cant answer number one because I dont use a synth and i dont get what your asking for the second question

  • @Granini400 man i have the same cable and keyboard and it dosent work plese help

  • @lordjames2670 thats because usually you need a synthesizer. However using syth font ant audacity i was able to get it to work i will make a future tutorial on it in the future if you would like

  • Yamaha PSR-240 :DDDD This hella helped me thank you dude!

  • @formuna101 yep thats what i have its sooo hard to find this keyboard anymore

  • I know Im still glad I have mine though its in my other country lmao

  • @formuna101 The CABLE how it works? when you connect cable to PC it shows red light button if its on, right? and next to red light it is said "in" and "out" light buttons ,.. my cable only flicks yellow light "in" button is that right or it needs to show something else? ....[yes my english is bad but i thing you can understand what i mean]

  • @Granini400 ohhhhhh yeah the colors are right

  • @Granini400 idk i used synthfont and audacity to record and it worked ok

  • wow not the best video mate ... no more please
