  • Agree the picture is aweful, hard to get the folks in Nashvegas to use great photographers, they want to go cheap...

  • This guy blows. I threw up in my mouth a little :-/ I want 4 minutes of my life back.

  • i seen Taylor live & he asked who has family in the military, i raised my hand. he played this song & looked at me the whole time. love this song, makes me think of my family. my cousin just came home from Iraq saturday, my brother is in the Air Force as well as my sister in law both in North Dakota. my other cousin is in the marines and is in Japan, my other cousin is in the Navy. My heart goes out to anyone who has family in the military. Love this song, it means so much.

  • the one person who disliked this was the sniper

  • i have no idea how this Guy could win American idol..he has sold less Records than the people who did not win lol..i believe he is the loswest selling American idol so far..even out of the losers..Glad he has a job doing Grease though, seems like a good guy but singing professionally just is not for him..he sux.Better off doing stage plays.RIP taylor or atleast your music lol

  • @OutlawzSBT

He won because he was the most talented of the bunch. Just because he hasn't been selling millions of albums doesn't mean he shouldn't have won. Your logic completely fails

  • did he take that from tom hambridge?

  • crossin dixon is 100x better love their version

  • I dont see how anyone can be negative to him with these lyrics......So Cal Soul Patrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE this song :) beutiful

  • Not bad, but I prefer Crossing Dixon's version much more.

  • The most passionate and soulful song on his album. Definitely a favorite of mine, the artist and the song. Sometimes people need to realize music is supposed to bring a message to the listener, not just hate, anger, wildness, and big sound. Taylor hicks is music, the everything and anything of it :)

  • This song is amazing. It's beautiful. and touching. Thank you. =]

  • Taylor's voice is perfect for this song. He touched our hearts with this moving message of sacrifice for something the young man beleived in. Taylor stirs our emotions with the depth of his presentation and honors those who committed to their own sacrifice for the rest of us. Taylor did an awesome rendition!

  • Amen. luvhicks you said it so well.

    I love Taylor as well.

  • Amen to that. I've been in love with Taylor and his music since I saw him on AI. Saw him in Grease when he was at Portland, OR. I collect his pictures and videos via the internet. I hope he continues to share his love of music with us. Nothing fake about him. He is so real and unbelievably talented. Nothing fake about him. May his star continue to rise. I love his excitement about music, his skills and his sense of humor. I try to follow his activities which brings so much joy into my life.

  • Amen to that too. I agree with you, so cool you have got to see hom concert.

Your are right, there is nothing fake about Taylor, you can see his love and passion he has for music, he is so unbelievebly talented and sexy!

I hope to get to see him concert someday!

  • Taylor is a phenom and I can hardly wait for news of his activity. His Whomp At The Warfield DVD will be released soon -in the next few months. Yeaah! It's a way for me to see him in action. The next best thing to a live performance. Chances of him performing in my neck of the woods are slim. There are none like him.

  • Very moving!!

  • Beautiful.

  • Powerful song sung by a gorgeous voice. Love the emotion Taylor brings to the story. An honor to all of our servicemen and women.

  • I served at Brooke Army Medical Center where many of the most severely injured were sent , and will always remember Jonathan Benson, a young Marine who lost a valiant fight for his life. His courage, strength, dignity affected everyone who knew, worked and served to save him. This song could have been written for him.

  • Thank You Taylor Hicks for such a beautiful song that touches many hearts! WOW!

  • this was originally done by waycross i love both versions though! I got a big brother in the Marines

  • i'm against the whole war thing, i think it's a ridiculous war, BUT this song still had the power to move me. now i know how you feel.

  • Great artist...great song. Written by multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer Tom Hambridge. Check out his new cd "Boogieman" which includes this song. Taylor does a wonderful job with the song, as well as all of his other work.

  • im a sucker for songs which tell touching stories..

  • "Nineteen", truly an awsome song!

  • This is a great song very moving.

  • Love the song and I still love Taylor Hicks. Keep up the good work.

  • I usually don't like songs that pull on the heart strings. But I really love this song, the man and his voice.

  • Love ,love love this song,it's just gorgeous. Taylor's vocals are amazing !

  • there is other previous released of this song by Waycross and Crossin Dixon, very nice too.

  • Great song. My mom is a big fan and we saw him in Grease last summer in NY and she got to meet him. I was so happy for her. Last Christmas my mentally handicapped brother passed away and listening to Taylor is one of the things that helped her get through it. I'll always have respect for this man for the joy he brings my mom. She is coming to visit me in SF next month and we are seeing Grease again and seeing him at a small club here. Used to be I'd be excited for her, now I'm excited for us.

  • That is beautiful man. Coming from a large military family myself as my Father and Brother are both buried at Arlington. I cannot say enough about music that has helped my Mother, Brother and myself carry on.

  • There is a great version of this song by an Army guy out of Florida who's brother was killed in Iraq. This is a good version of the song, but I think Taylor Hicks didn't do as good as the other guy. Just looked it up- his name is Ryan Weaver.

  • My son was a 19 year old Marine when the towers came down. He's still a Marine. An extremely moving song, sung beautifully by Taylor Hicks. Thank you, and thanks to all those who have served and sacrificed.

  • Beautiful song from a beautiful man!

  • i heard it on the rick and bubba show myself and took all i had not to cry but didn't work greatest song ever way to go taylor

  • i never have really listened to taylor but i recently heard this song when he was on the rick and bubba show and it is awesome so i guess im converted

  • It's true that fans have better pics than those on the album(s). I just saw him in concert last week, and what a handsome guy.......but its what's inside the album that counts.

  • Love the song -- hate the photo. Is that the cover? Two bombs in a row? The low budget UTR was better than this.

  • yes, thats the new album cover.

  • Thanks for sharing this beautiful song.
