Alright, so Christianity claims that humans are created in Gods image. God makes no mistakes and humans do, therefore its our mistakes that differentiate us from God. The conclusion rests on the truth of the original premise—that humans are created in Gods image. Its circle reasoning.
As a replacement standard just look at the best among us and try to live up to them. Judge a rock by other rocks, judge a dog by other dogs, judge man by other men.
I hate it when people argue that imprefection defines our humanity. Uch.... FIrst of all, SAY SOMETHING ORIGINAL. Christianity has been telling us that message for the last 2000 years... Secondly, when a dog can't learn higher mathamatics you don't say its an imperfect dog. It's not in the nature of a dog to learn math. Well, human's do make mistakes. But that doesn't mean we're imperfect. It's in our nature to never make mistakes. We are still perfect according to our nature. Sheesh.
You really didn't address my point. Dogs are prefect according to their nature, regardless of an inability to learn math. I could point out that rocks are perfect regardless of their inability to move. We don't say "bad rock, why can't you move!?" Humans are prefect according to our nature regardless of making mistakes. In all cases, humans, dogs, rocks, the standard for perfection, is stems from the nature of the thing in question, not from some outside source, i.e. god.
We don't compare dogs to humans and say, "bad dog, why can't you learn algebra!" Why would we compare humans to god and say "bad human, why don't you know everything that's happening in the universe?"

Yes but who is the one setting this standard? you?
Mostly in the western view of things christian faith is the one setting these standards and defineing mans nature
as divine as opposed to that of dog,
that we only see as mortal and simple.
we were created in his image and were given wizdom.
Just to explain I am not christian I was born a jew.
So I might be wrong in blaming christianty.

Simple and rational.

I very much disagree :
What is humen nature? what do you mean by saying humen nature?
the western view of the world is in its core a Christian view
you see,In modarn Christianity-God is what prefection is. a god does not make mistakes (How can the creator of all things make mistakes?)
and saying that we are not fully only behings of logic and soul but also that of body
we define our self far from godliness
and that is our humanity in those imprefections
