@daweon no idea what the piece on the trailer is called but the music from the film was by Leo Abrahams & David Holmes. hope that can help you find what you want !
the irony of this is that this film is banned in the North of Ireland by the so-called democratic unionist party. I thought the bigotry had died away here but obviously not
The true victims? Most of these "terrorists" as you call them were victims. All brought up in Catholic neighbourhoods, spat on by protestants all their life. Sands himself burnt out of his home when he was younger. Not all the IRA killed innocents, in fact, the majority aimed at killing military and official targets, yet you ignorants seem to suggest all of these men were murdering terrorists. i am not a terorist supporter, I am a freedom fighter supporter.
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
"They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of one Irishman who doesn't want to be broken."
"Our revenge will be the laughter of our children."
As Irish plans go this was a cunning plan it was akin to the "kamikaze", pilot but without the plane or a defined target (cut out the middle man thats what i say ) yes if it was any more cunning you could shove a tail on it and call it a fox. But the result was Maggie 10 I Ran Away 0

If somebody came out of the Cinema and said this was a political film, they must have gone through the entire show covering their eyes and ears. It's an observation of how human beings cope in these circumstances.
by the way, Enda Walsh is the writer AND screenwriter of this film. although it says that Steve McQueen was a co-writer, frankly that's a load of bull, and Steve McQueen is getting all the credit for the 21 minute long speech with the priest and Sands.
I have a feeling it will be very moving and powerfull, cant waite to see it, but i cant help but feel that some people will use it as an excuse to bring up thepast and for the vioence to be reinstated, i so hope not!!

Of course there's such a place as the north of Ireland. The south, east and west of Ireland also exist.

Strang that the film dosent show WHY these MURDERERS were in jail.?? That amazes me NOT the film. What about the true victims>>>
TOBERMORE1 2 years ago
the true victims being the catholic irish who were oppressed by a famously corrupt government ?

Murderers?? Bobby Sands wasn't in jail for murder, nor were the majority of republin prisoners, they were interned for being Catholic.

I hope Fassbender goes on to do more great work. Been a long time since I first saw him in Band of Brothers.

Bobby Sands dies for what he believed in, and therefore he was a hero. He was arrested for having an un-loaded gun in his drawer.
