  • Because they won't be franchised by nice little old ladies - they'll be privatized and taken over by the corporate interests thank bank-roll his party. His big society is a big lie.

  • THATS MY MUMMY...=]

  • I prefer the Conservative government to that of that Labour government! But a Liberal Government is far superior to both!

  • far superior - lol - libdems haven't a scooby

  • down with this evil twisted government!!!

  • i'd rather vote for a dog than bnp - vote CONSERVATIVE

  • Britlandish your the man. green500 your a bellend DC for PM

  • your the twat

  • Great come back.

  • great comment - a nice lefty liberal one liner

  • If the Government can sort out Northern Rock, why cant they help the Post Office?

A bank which has only been around for a little time, compared to the Royal Mail is a disgrace

  • i like the music

  • its crazy how gordon brown puts 3 line whips on nearly everything... itll just make him lose votes though which is good.

  • Gurkhas?

  • I cannot wait for the day when Mr Cameron finally takes his rightful place as Prime Minister!

  • This guy is great, no gross bullsh*ts, down to earth, and really cares about the country as a whole

  • About eight years ago the Labour Government produced a Cabinet Office report into saving post offices, so they have failed by their own lights.

  • Be honest David, your great, but is that Guardian really necessary? its a fatuous rag of liberal-filth! get the Times!

  • You will rule the roost Cameron!

  • Come on David, we love ya!

  • Perhaps some company ought to come along and buy out all the Post Office Franchaises, as that is what they are,

I suppose you can juggle any figures to make something look like a failure.

As far as I know, no Government has ever been that good at counting. they just juggle thing to suit the mood of the nation.

It has been done for years with unemployment and other such figures. Everyone knows it but we are all thick and have to believe the majority - apparently.

  • I hate post office closures, they shut the local one at my local shop which was always busy and was in 5 min walking distance, theres 2 other locals ones but further away. I wish I could have my local one back or a new shop created for one, lot of senior citizens etc who used it. Save the post offices, my support fully given.

  • Well said

  • If these rural Post Offices are so

"Loss Making" as has been claimed, then why not let individuals buy them and run them as private concerns, in their own right.

It's funny how when the current boss of the Royal Mail replaced his predecessor, the Royal Mail announced a huge profit for the first time in years - I seem to remember.

Tell me who has pocketed all that profit then. Jobs were still cut, yet the "fat cat" still got his payrise.

    Something smell decidedly dodgy here...
