The Dutch version of the song and series are the orginals. It was made up from an idea of Herman van Veen and worked out into a cartoon by japanese drawers:) Anyway, can anyone tell me where the Egnlish version was shown? I didn't even know that there was an English version o.o
@Zeanu naah i don't wanna bully...and i also know that the other ones also sound typically...but...*how to explain...*
it was my firtst time hearing this song in english...and i think wow...it sounds like an opening of a cartoon or something...*Sorry that i can't explain so good...it was just the feeling i had, when i heard it for the first time*
Everyone's saying dutch version is better. But ofcourse the dutch version is better, I'm mean: The dutch version is the original version, and original is always the best! :)
It's the same as seeing a manga in enlish instead of Japanese, or seeing a disney movie in dutch instead of english. It's allways better in the original version. :D But still I think it's awesome that a cartoon made in Holland was so good that it was shown on tv in so many different countries!
well now that I watched this as an adult I understand that this show had alot of content that's very untypical for children cartoons, like politics, guns (guns wtf?!) etc.
Nah, the Dutch and German version (which were both supervised by Herman van Veen himself) are far superior. Great series nonetheless, no matter the language.
fuck... a... duck... ive been looking for this all my life! christ, im sure there was a dragon in it somewhere! or maybe it was that thing in the hood! doesnt he get cooked in a jungle?? jesus, bloody dutch!!
@dregoth22 yeh i watched the one were he's in the jungle, it's actually quite an upsetting scene for children id say. cant find the episode with the dragon but i remember there's an earthquake
Seriously, this was possibly the first anime I ever watched as a kid. The British dubbing was terrible though, honestly.

@Saahneprincess Hmmm I think I understand you, don't worry! This song is very 80s, though. Reminds me of the Raccoons!

@Phoonguy See, the funny thing is, the dutch version is actually the original.
The english version sounds kind of, off.
The actual music is also made by a dutchman.
HaloReplicas 10 months ago
@Phoonguy Yeah, you're right. Most of the world speaks English just because the English version of Alfred J. Kwak sounds better in your opinion.

Alfred Jonathan Kwak? isint it Alfred Jodocus Kwak or did they change it?

@munkki100 In English it's Jonathan, in Dutch Jodocus.

Alfred JONATHAN Kwak? DD: ...oh come on, you could at least call him "Joker", that would be the correct translation.
still, the lyrics are cute :3 but I prefer the "Lalala" Part in German with the Voices of van Veen and Alfred's german and dutch voice ;3;
