I'm still hoping John K decides to release a DVD (Or blu-ray.. not likely) of all the Ren & Stimpys, He-Hog, Ripping Friends, and the other projects they've done over the years. Hell, even the webisodes would be great on here!
8:50 is "Fox trot in 2/4", used in "Boo Boo runs wild" and inGumby "In a Fix" The stock cue is by Emil Cadkin, Jack Cookerly and Bill Loose and is STILL avaiable for USE, and is avaible on CARLIN, in one of the CARLIN ONLINE series--look for it under ENTERTAINMENT LINK 18. Temporarily from 1995 to 1999 or so, much of the old stock music came under legal attack, likewise R&S went off, but the rights were gradually more cleared.
..and at 1:12 [faded a la its use on early Hanna-Barbera Huck/Yogi/Jinks shows] is George Hormel's ZR-48, also used on Gumy, ending whne He-Hog, the Atomic pig lands his saucer.
A lot of the music seems to be domne as stock for old radio shows... JK did pitch this as a parody of old shows and as one of the very early posters here said, JK had Nickelodeon fears [think "Ren and Stimpy", which at least at one ealrier time Nick?Paramount/Viacom also owned...]
The "score" seems to include Cinemusic nee Langlois music composer Jack SHaindlin's "Race to Death"[used most memoerbaly on the Hanna-Barbera oriignal "Quick Draws"] and possibly some APM Ren-Stimpy cues,,
what is this, an animatic of a fully-animated Spumco piece? I expect this is a parody of classic radio shows, but Spumco can animate much more than this.
@Fireouch bullshit, squidbillies and tim and eric's are some of the most retarded fuckin shows I've ever seen, humor in those shows is as low brow as humor can possibly get
I saw this at an Animaton Festival a few years back in London, UK. Apparently, it was some kind of 'pilot' episode -hence the unfinished frames, etc. They also screened the new Ren & Stimpy episodes which I assume were aired in the US at some point.
That open sounds like a Jack Shaindlin or John Seely cue from Quick Draw (heard in "Masking for Trouble"). Now at 1:28 a G.Hiormel cue isa playing..just like John K.!
MTV was thinking about buying it, but I think it was that John K (creator of this and Ren and Stimpy) didn't want to deal with Viacom again (the company that owns Nickelodeon and the MTV Networks)
how come it moves like an animatic as you see on college cartoons and on cartoon DVD's were they have deleted scenes?

Why is this show (or any John K. show) not on Adult Swim?!?! This show would fit the Adult Swim block perfectly!
Spunto2 3 years ago 4
Because [adult swim] only wants cheap stuff with barely any animation. Plus the humor in [adult swim] has to be "smart".
Fireouch 3 years ago 10

you mean "low brow" smart? Because that's mostly what they got now. Super looow brow..ick..with only a few shining gems
