  • Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this is one of their favorite PF solos and albums.

  • One of my personal favorite guitar solos.

  • 1 person likes penis

  • Roger Waters = Genius!

  • I will have only one thing to say after that ... love the pink floyd and their incredible music :')

  • Escuchar este disco a alto volumen, acostada y con la luz apagada es sublime. Definitivamente de mis discos favoritos de Pink Floyd!!!!!!

  • @MelKrimson Es toda una experiencia.

  • something tells me that this album is going to be a lot better than a momentary laspe of reason and the division bell

  • chega de tanta propaganda porra !

  • Thank you for the extra 20% for the mere 1% representing the other 99%. unless your homeless

  • Fuckin' A, I fucking love this band. "Meddle" is still my favorite album. And yes, this is definitely an underrated album.

  • Roger Waters was not the key to this album. He's just the icing on the cake. without the rest of pink floyd, he is nothing, but pink floyd without him is rather bland.

  • @italiaboy1123 The others in PF hated this album, as do most PF listeners. But I love it, and Roger is the best. He IS the key to this album - it's his vision. And he's amazing without PF too, just listen to Amused To Death. I would mention his other work, but it's not for everyone. Then again, neither is this one and Amused to Death, but if you like this album, try Amused to Death, and give Roger the credit for this album. He's the reason it exists, not the others.

  • @italiaboy1123 A paradox, indeed. Pink Floyd is astonishing and paramount in general, however.

  • @italiaboy1123

But Rodger was the key to this album, Pink Floyd went through eras in which the entire band was led by either Rodger or Dave. This album was made under Rodger's "rule" if you like.

  • It's so sad that this would never would be pushed through radio waves today. We need a music revolution to overthrow CLEAR CHANNEL Communications!!

  • @arjaya I played when the tigers broke free on Future radio 107.8fm also available online on my show this thursday evening between 8-10pm gmt

  • i totaly agree this is the most underated of Floyds albums , but to say it blows any other of Floyds albums is , well strange . All of their albums are good , each set a different mood. This is though the FINAL CUT , Of Pink Floyds long carreer with Roger waters /David Gilmore leading .

  • wow absolutley amazing ive seen roger live he is just amazing at what he does

  • this has always been a favorite song of mine

even if i can't really get inot this album. it's almost too miserable sounding

  • @PrankZabba Dude, this album is absolutely amazing. If you are into history, WW2 and Roger Waters, you will love this album. Just give it a chance and listen to the whole album a couple of times.

  • @pointnumber01 It sure is man, lyrically one of Pink Floyd's best in my opinion. This album will definitely make you think and has on more than one occasion brought tears to my eyes. It also has to the tendency to make me very angry and depressed. If music doesn't provoke feeling it's just a bunch of racket.

  • haha instead of 267, I made it 268

  • This Album is the most underrated album of Floyd's career and blows away the wall

  • @deepsussex That's because this is more Roger Waters than true Pink Floyd. A"Final Cut" to finish a recording contract he wanted to escape.

  • @deepsussex no, it does not blow any of the other albums away, not even the wall... the final cut's concept is about losing people close to you, be it bc of a war, or a relationship gone wrong. the wall is more how people build ''walls'' to their surroundings. theyre both different, and awesome in their own senses. but i must agree this one is pretty underrated.

  • @deepsussex Yes. Thumbs up

  • @deepsussex How can you possible like the final cut and dislike the wall? Can´t you see both talk about the same?

  • @deepsussex This album is comprised of the songs that were cut from The Wall due to it being too long. So they go hand in hand really.

  • With the exception of the guitar work, this is not music. It is shock-sound therapy . . . and it did not help the patient.

  • @chingchangchongfly go listen to some rap

  • @pooptypants1 Good advice. Poopty Pants One? You mean the original Poopty Pants was taken?

  • Roger, you are GOD

  • Never bested (is that a word?)

  • @Cuntfinger lol yea. bested is a word. and so is never. bested basically means beat. so if i say "i've bested you!" it means "ive beaten you". basically

  • @JourneyRehp Thanks. Lesson Learned.

  • @Cuntfinger YES IT IS CUNT FINGER

  • I once lived in Europe. I found that out from a guy. Just do some youtubing.

  • Sometimes i fell happy for this kind of stuff only have 76,000 viewers. We're on the right way felows.

  • gli assoli dave son pognalate

  • Best Floyd verse "Come in here dear boy have a cigar your gonna go far " who knows what song its from?

  • @TheMDSk8r Have a cigar

  • @TheMDSk8r lmao have a cigar off Wish you were here

  • @TheMDSk8r Have a cigar

  • i love u all

  • @Eoinmoo4 love you too xD

  • "I was just a child then, now I'm only a man..." One of my favorite lines ever. Roger Waters is a genius, Pink Floyd was the greatest band of all time.

  • Most underrated album of all-time. I would have loved it if this album was ever done live. Even though I'm just 15, watching clips from it would be amazing.

  • KMRakaKAT is a star for posting this album and the words are just another bonus.

  • TAKE CARE!

  • Best way to hear this album is on a decent Hi-Fi deck with a very good LP player.

  • @R33Racer

    go back to your toys!

  • @tauti3c What??

  • @R33Racer go back to your toys!

  • Seem like he's talking about genocide

  • @x8xrafox8x Well, this album is, of course, all about WWII and the death of his father (who fought in The 8th Battalion of The Royal Fusiliers, Company C). I've always interpreted this song in two ways (and they may be entirely wrong).

1- the beginning, where Roger talks about the "possible pasts", I believe this is a reference to how different his family would be if WWII never started.

2- when talking about the girl in the doorway, about his father leaving his wife to fight.

  • By the cold and religious

    We were taken in hand

    Shown how to feel good

    And told

    To feel bad

What a poet is Roger Waters.

  • i cant believe this has only got 65,000 views......unbelievable

  • @pufpaddy A LOT OF PEOPLE DONT LIKE TO THINK OF THEIR POSSIBLE PASTS....

  • Comment removed

  • a warning to anyone still in command!!!!!

  • pink floyd fans are so understanding

  • Gilmour's solo sounds like from Animals, one of his best. He pulled it off all the way even thogh they were in conflict at the time. Now, that's class.

  • By the cold and religious we were taken in hand...shown how to feel good. Then told to feel bad.....story of my friggin life!

  • This hits home pretty well. Goddamn

  • i was just a child when i heard this now i'm only a man 5*

  • my possible pasts would be worse than my now

  • As a die-hard Pink Floyd fan, I'm going to have to say that the Final Cut is just Roger Waters dictating the band in trying to remake the Wall. To tell you the truth this album is really the worst representation of the "Pink Floyd Sound." While I agree with the message this album puts out, the music just doesnt jump out at me like every other Pink Floyd album has. It's a shame Roger Waters couldn't learn how to play nice with his band mates. This album is mediocre at best.

  • @LSDylanmann Who cares about the music. It's the words that make the impact. I don't know what your background is but as a retired Marine, the words hit home.

  • @Quickroid but that is the thing... the Pink Floyd Sound was characterized by their long, drawn-out, space rock instrumentals. I reference the album Animals alot, but, the haunting instrumentals, especially on Animals, and on basically every other Floyd album, are what really makes the band. I respect the living hell out of Roger Waters, and I understand what he was trying to say with this album, and totally agree with it... but, Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd Sound = Roger Waters poetry.

  • @LSDylanmann You are correct. Sorry drunkin postings need to be avoided.

  • @LSDylanmann With all my great respect to you I can't agree with you in this my dear friend. Why?. This is why, this album was based on lot from losing Rogers dad from the Second World War.This album express lots of anger in world politics. And about people are going to war just because your government ask you to and you don't know the reason behind it but you are compelled to do so. And many kids lost their loved once due to ignorance's of world leaders. He named it Final as last of his PF .

  • @brazilduluwita Like i said, I totally agree with what Waters was trying to say with this album but, as I stated in my other reply, this album just doesn't sound the same. Even The Wall sounds like Floyd in their prime compared to this album... My firm opinion is, whilst sticking to a very strong message, Roger Waters could've made his FINAL album with Floyd a little better than the rejected filler songs from the Wall. But, alas, to each his own, eh?

  • @LSDylanmann Yeahh. I got what you were saying since I read your other post. Yep I agree with you and it make sense. Thanks for your reply.

  • @LSDylanmann i personally think that if this album was made by the entire band together this would have been one of their best albums. cause these are roger water's lyrics at its finest

  • @arya2005 The unity between the band (mainly between Waters and Gilmour) was at it strongest from Dark Side of the Moon - Animals. If it would've continued, I think both The Final Cut and The Wall would have been exponentially better.

  • I'm a Floyd fan and I can say that this album would have been perfect, although its pretty damn good as it is, with Rick and David singing a little more. Would have helped too if Roger wasnt sending the mixes to David through mail. Sounds like the guitar is slightly off tune on this album in some songs. Let we forget the furious courtroom battle for the name Pink Floyd.

  • @theslowpilot 100% agree with you. Specially I would prefer if Gilmore sang "Not Now John" and "South Hampton Dock". Just my opinion.

  • Definitely a Waters-based album.

  • @InfinityOE the wall was a waters-based album too.

  • @MKA829 Would have never guessed.

  • i never see any fan of pink floyd talk about this album..

its one of my favourites from pink floyd :P and still has that "beat" from The Wall witch is my absolute favourite!

  • @cshaves It's the left over from The Wall. Ofcourse it's not going to be talked about.

    Fantastic album, though.

  • @BlaskoWX the songs aren't only left overs and left overs song are very good =)

    PF 4 EVER

  • @patmell70 what is the next second but the second after it's past?

  • I'm sad, I'm not sure why, I am happy, I'm not sure why, both of these at the same time, I know why. This is what I feel when listening to Pink Floyd

  • Your past is not your future.

  • She stood in the doorway the ghost of a smile...

    Woah.

  • @siimpatiko thats one of my favorite lines in any song... makes me think if my mom who died a few years ago... always chokes me up..

  • @freekinld50 It's incredible how music can make revive your best remembers... R.I.P. for your mom btw

  • from the knowledge i've gained its to my understanding that the majority of these songs were outakes from the wall

  • @66644666 i think a few were, i dont know about a majority.

  • @66644666 pretty sure when the tigers broke free was an outtake, cause it was on the wall movie

  • ☆Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ☆

  • i was just a child then now im only a man

  • @jayvizer8 so powerful

  • this song sounds like the style roger wrote the wall in. awesome song and yes jlkrocks is totally right.

  • This Album are in my top 5 of pink

  • Dynamic, Emotive and rare for Floyd....Romantic too!

  • This album reaches in so deep it hurts. PF's words, music and lyrics are so intellectual and expressive..they are to me like a timeless piece of genius artwork. They transcend time and space. One has to be careful though and not get too stoned while listening to their music or the brain might cross over to the other side and never make it back.

  • you apparently crossed over last week. Try to make it back. Just don't go into the light

  • Get a grip and deal with it. Don't you think we should be closer, as Floyd fans? There will never be another album or reunion - so enjoy what they gave you. Appreciate the now - you will never have the now again. This music is beautiful and timeless. Relax and enjoy.

  • I have a grip man. I was just commenting. You are right the music is beautiful and timeless and a do enjoy it. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off.

  • In lots of peoples view this is one of the great Pink Floyd album....And how can you call Pink Floyd Pink Floyd as it is today? its missing Richard and the lyrical legend Roger

  • Pink Floyd ended with the wall. The last 2 were not true PF albums either because Roger was not in the band. They are still good albums though. PF is my favorite band.

  • Sid started this band, and though he may not have been there, he was the inspire.. for Wish and Dark

  • i agree with you

  • I totally agree that this is the best Roger's album. The vocal hooks are great. Maybe even better than on the Wall. I don't understand why he wasn't able to reproduce it on his later albums. They're simply bland, musically.

  • Waters in his darkest brilliance...nothing compares to the good ol' classic Floyd.

  • ...do you think, we should be closer

  • no, we can't. :D

  • The best band ever!!!

  • @jlkrocks2112 best album ever the final cut

  • @jlkrocks2112 YOU KNOW IT!!!

  • I consider this the last real Pink Floyd album. The stuff that came afterwards was really good but it was its own thing. This very good album, should be held in just as high of reguard as the albums that precceded it.

  • Ive always loved this one, its like a part two to the wall or something.

  • I've always felt the same way. Sort of lookin back on his experiences from the wall years later...and seeing nothing has changed. Or gotten worse...

  • this is technically part 2 of The Wall...this is the "leftovers" from The Wall...it's my favorite album by them by far, it's poetry and it's beautiful :)

  • @dawningsun30 Originally The Wall was designed to be a 3cd album....

  • @45Akira I was commenting about someone saying this was like part 2 of The Wall but somehow, it didn't post as a reply to that person's comment :s

Thanks, I couldn't remember the details regarding the cd but I knew that the songs on The Final Cut were originally planned for The Wall...

  • i migliori.

  • men you are king

  • I più grandi di sempre!!!!!

  • most peoplie can relate to this song it etches away at there most inner feelings it unearths a desire to ah ah ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @munghi Extremely nicely said and written.
