Well there are very few diseases that you can say "this is the disease and this is the cure". Autism is one of those not in that catagory. The important thing is finding what works for each individual by trying methods from previous cases. Instead we see doctors handing out medication like candy. THATS the problem. Medication is NOT the answer for everything.

I may sound closed minded, but I am very set on what i know. I've spent plenty of YEARS researching and making sure I have all the facts. You can't fake the relief of a crying mother when her child changes his diet and 6 months later he's showing no signs of Autism and the doctor is able to throw out the diagnose paperwork.

You don't sound closed mined, you sound like someone who is doing their best to deal with a difficult situation. Autism is not an easy thing to diagnose, nor is it an easy thing to treat. We understand very little about it, but what we do know is that it is not caused by vaccines, it is not treated by diet and it is largely genetic.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck and hope you do find a solution to what is a very complex and poorly understood condition.

And I put Autism in qoutes because it could have been those factors that created the problems to begin with. Remove the variables and you remove the problem, simpel as that. A change in diet DOES in fact work on most Autism cases. Those would be the cases that I would say that they weren't TRUE autistic children, but by standers of environmental variables, hence the food dyes, additives and gluten. True Autistic children would see some relief with the new diet b/c those variable do make it worse

Finally, cancer rates appear to be higher in the industrialized world, where we have all of the aforementioned "societal ills" because we live longer. The risk of cancer increases with age. If you die as a child from TB, HIV, malaria, measles, polio or something as innocent (to us) as strep throat, you don't live long enough to get cancer.

However, about 80% of pediatric cancers are CURED. Compare that with the 1950s when they were invariably fatal.

I have recently returned from working in the Africa and Papua New Guinea. Its not the lack of medicines that kill them, its the lack of nutrition. If nutrition was abundant, then they wouldn't be dying from many of those diseases. Because the right diet will prevent things like those. AMerica is so full of processed foods that are just no good. If the shots were so great then they wouldn't need to keep updating them

You are correct in the assertion that nutrition is a huge issue in the third world, and in fact in the first world as well. However, nutrition alone will not prevent these illnesses. It would be great if it were true, however it is much more complicated than that. Vaccines do indeed have side effects and potential serious complications, however it is grossly inaccurate to say they cause more problems then they "cure". In fact, by they do not cure anything, they prevent and attenuate illnesses.

Also, we do not continually "update" vaccines. Most remain quite constant. We do however create new vaccines to diseases we in fact did not previously have vaccines for. The only vaccine we routinely "update" is the flu vaccine, which we do because it mutates and changes on a yearly basis. They majority of the rest of childhood vaccinations are largely the same and have proven to be quite effective. We see almost none of these illnesses in our "processed food" society, unlike the third world.
